I am so thrilled to have found this gem of a restaurant . Outstanding food and hospitality, feels really homey and welcoming. We ordered a couple of half plates of assorted veggies Momos, they were beautiful! The squash and mushrooms were yummy but my favourite is the spinach vermicelli. So comforting. My first time trying tibetan tea. I thought the butter and salt would make it heavy but it's actually quite nice; smooth and mild. The complimentary soup and dessert (sweet tea and fried dough sticks) were a nice touch. We very much enjoyed them too! I love that this place offers rainbow Momos (not every momo restaurant does). AND they also deliver frozen! HIGHLY recommend coming here. Support the small businesses, especially when they are stellar

Was around the Greektown area and wanted a more laidback dinner and stumbled upon this no-frills restaurant! As the name suggests momos are what they are known for. Our server recommended we get the assorted momos (both meat and veggie platter) so we got to try every momo flavour they had! She also recommended the crispy cauliflower which was surprisingly addicting. The momos themselves were quite good, giving a home-style cooking feeling. I would say my favourite was the lamb momo and it was fun to have so many different flavours to choose from. There was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive to the table but I expect it is because they steam the dumplings to order.

Came by for a quick bite and definitely glad we did! Inside there are colourful flags with writing. The establishment itself is large, there is a small patio outside. The service was great! Very attentive, also they serve water with chilled glasses. Tried several different momo from shrimp, vegetarian and chicken (butter chicken) The sauces they provide definitely added to the flavour of momos. The butter chicken momo was our favourite. Our least favourite was probably the shrimp. They provide complimentary tea and that was delicious!

What a unique place. The tranquility and warmth are hard to describe. I came here for take-out. I ordered a mix of Chicken and Beef momos (5 pcs each). I was glad that I can do mix-and-match this way. While waiting for my order, they served this small cup of milk tea (chai-like tea - nice gingery flavor with subtle spices). It was delicious. The momos were delicious and came with a few different sauces/chutney to enjoy diverse flavors. I especially liked the black spicy sauce. The meat was nicely/moderately seasoned, making these sauces more enjoyable. The momos also came with a complimentary soup, which was also DELICIOUS. Again, moderately seasoned/spiced, extracting the best/depth of the ingredients (black lentils?). The package had a cute message. Hahaha. Yes, the food and services indeed calm me down after a serious work-related meetings :). Will come baaaack!!!

Delicious! Did you know of Torontos secret rivarly between Nepalese vs Tibetian Momo shops for who has the best Momo in town? Well now you know...and Momo Hut might make the claim for some of the most delicious Momos in Toronto. My fave dish there was definately the momo khatsa. In fact im craving it right now!

I am a huge momo fan and definitely on the lookout for new spots in town to explore more . I am just so happy to write a review for this restaurant as All my friends were so happy with their service , hospitality and of course the food . Let's start with the restaurant location which is on the Danforth Avenue main street and is just a prime location. They have a cute little patio just outside the restaurant and the ambience inside is just mind blowing. So peaceful that you can sit for hours and have a nice chat with your friends. The staff provides you with a complimentary soup to begin with which is really delicious . The momos / dumplings we ordered were chicken momos, cabbage momos , mushroom momos and tandoori momos. We also ordered there chilli fries and stir fried veggie noodles. Let me tell you honestly everything was really delicious. We had a kid with us as well so they were so kind and sweet to bring her a bowl of fruits . We were really happy with the thoughtful gesture by the staff. At the end we tried their fruit momos which is their speciality as well with nutella sauce. We all loved this dish of theirs. I was literally thinking that how i missed this place and found this after a long time as they are 2 years old now . Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. You will love the experience.

In my search for MoMo in Toronto, I came across this place. Why I am doing such a search? Because I have tried the best MoMo when I was in Hong Kong. So, how is MoMo Garden? The restaurant interior is spacious and clean. It has a good spiritual atmosphere here. This is the good point. The waiter is very considerate, attentive and helpful. This is a perfect waiting service, even for a very casual restaurant. The food is mainly of MoMo Dumpling. Not as good as the one I used to eat in Hong Kong, but might be the best there is in Toronto. It was nicely prepared, and the price is good. I like the pan fried one more as the dumpling skin is a bit too thick. Thinner skin would make the steam ones better. The dumpling could be juicier and the sauce can be improved. This is the comparison I would make with the best MoMo I tried before. However, this is still not bad. I would recommend coming to here for MoMo in Toronto. But I do wish it is as good as the one I tried before.

Momo Hut and Gardens is located near Chester subway station in the heart of Greektown on Danforth Avenue. The eatery is a family run and they serve a wide variety of meat and veggie momos. The restaurant can seat quite a bit of people and it is best to share the dishes as you and your party can try more things. I dropped by Momo Hut and Gardens for takeout on a Friday. I ordered 3 kinds of momos (beef, cabbage, and butternut squash). The unique variety of momos definitely made it hard for me to choose which ones to order! The pick up was fairly easy and the owner even offered me a cup of sweet tea on the house. Even though it was a quick interaction with the business owners, I felt like I was going into someone's home where I was being welcomed without judgement. The momos were delicious and the cabbage momo was probably a favourite. The takeout orders also come with a soup as well. Go check out and support this local restaurant if you can!

Loved the momos and hospitality here! This rustic, homely place was almost empty when we walked in on a weekend for a late lunch and the owner cheerfully gestured for us to take a seat anywhere. The interior was simple but comfortable and spacious, perfect for spending a lazy afternoon. The menu was short and straightforward, but of course the restaurant is most famous for their momos, some of which had quite unique ingredients which I've never seen before at other Tibetan places. We picked two types of meat momos and two types of veggie momos, and everything was delicious! I was particularly impressed with the latter - who could've know that butternut squash, broccoli, and non-dairy cheese could make such a delightful filling? The food tasted very healthy and looked charming too, these delicate and colourful parcels arranged in a bamboo steamer. On the other hand, I did find the portions to be a bit small given the price - $6-7 for 5 momos is on the expensive side. The experience we had here is also worth mentioning - the owner (and his wife) were so welcoming and genial! From introducing the items on the menu, to answering our questions about the sauces (there was a wonderfully spicy one, may I add), to just chatting with us as we paid the bill, we were made to feel right at home. I think I'll be making a trip to the Danforth area just for this place...all those interesting filling combinations are making me quite curious. :)

The first thing you notice is the prayer flags. In the bustle and bluster of the Danforth, it seems a tad out-of-place in its serenity, yet it absolutely calls out to you. And that exactly is what a dining experience at Momo Hut is like: different, and good for both the tummy and the soul. Let's talk about the food first: - Momos: It was the first time my wife and I tried momos and we liked it. Kinda like dumplings to us with a thicker "coating". We got the shrimp, beef and phing-tsey (spinach, feta, noodles) momos and really enjoyed all of them. The protein was plump, the fillings were stuffed, and the coating was tasty. Also, the side sauces were amazing. Pro top: mix a bit of the spicy black one with either the red or orange one to get just the right fiery and flavourful kick. - Crispy Cauliflower: Tastily seasoned though would have wanted it a bit more crispy. - Ting-Mo: Steamed buns with a turmeric flavour. If you love buns that are fluffy yet super dense, you'll like this. Also great to dunk this in the side sauces as their doughiness works well with the spice. - Sweet Lhasa: Dessert momo. The apple/cinnamon stuffing was expectedly delicious, yet the homemade mango icecream was the standout surprise. So that's the tummy part, but what about the food for the soul? Well, that's all about the people at Momo Hut. They are absolutely the nicest, most genuinely kind servers you'll meet. I don't know if they owned the place or not, but they sure act like people who take great pride in sharing their offering to the world. They were patient in answering this newbie's questions on Tibetan cuisine, had a twinkle in their eye when they recommended how to handle the side sauces, smiled with pride when we went for the more traditional dessert versus going for the fried banana, and topped off our meal with a cardamom tea which, I kid you not, is one of the best and most soothing teas I've ever had. Hope you head over to Momo Hut and enjoy the food and the experience as much as I did.

Don't have much experience with Momos so I wanted to give this place a try. Came for a late lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant itself is really cute, with some Tibetan chants playing softly. Ordered beef and lamb momos, and chili chicken. The momos come with a soup, so we got one beef, one vegetable. Also ordered a bhod cha (butter tea). The tea came out first and this was my first time trying butter tea. Even though I knew it was butter, I still found it surprisingly salty and creamy. Might not be for everyone, but I did find it quite appetizing. I liked to use a combination of the 3 sauces for the momos which gives it an extra garlicy, smokey (from the roasted chillies) flavour. The momos themselves are seasoned nicely and wrapped in a nice chewy wrapper. The service is amazing. We just wanted to know more about how the sweet tea would taste, and the waitress came out with a half-cup sized sample. Very friendly. Would definitely come back.

Authentic momos reimagined! Many plant-based options! Well packed takeout! I had the broccoli, butter squash with non-dairy cheese. It was slightly blend but delicious! Thank you for the great service!

Momo Hut & Gardens is a family run business in the heart of Greektown. The cute outside patio, colorful prayer flags, calm relaxing music take you to Tibet in midst of the bustle of the Danforth. Plenty of momo choices to make out of meat, vegetarian, vegan with an added option for gluten-free momos, sounds great right! The most exciting was the vegetable colorful momos, made of the real vegetable pulp and few of them that I tried are Spinach, Sweet Potato, Potato, Kale, Portebello, Button Mushroom, Beet. SUPER HEALTHY and full of flavors. So heaver for vegan people out there. Tried the meat and shrimp momos as all and as loved the pork and shrimp momos the most. Then there comes the Tandoori Momos, oh they are just mouth watering! A little more spicey but worth try. The Chilli Chicken & Veg Noodles was also very tasty. I had their Mango Shake, which was made of real fresh mango, taste was just perfect. Special mention to the hospitality of the owner and staffs there, they are very welcoming and suggest you with the food choices. It felt very calm and relaxing out there. Always been a fan of momos and glad to get the authentic flavor in Toronto. Obviously going back there for the overall experience we had!

By the time we left, there was waiting to get a table. And for a good reason. The food is exceptional, got the tandoori chicken momo, chicken lollipop and Himalayan special fried rice. We also had the tamarind mojito which was so good and refreshing.

They have a very extensive menu with plenty of options. We ordered steamed chicken momo, chicken curry, mutton thali, sha baley, and kurkure momo. Total after fees and tip was $125. It's a lot of food. We weren't able to finish it all. The steamed momo was very good. That was probably the favorite. However the choice for filling of the momos is limited. You only have chicken or veggie. Seeing order photos of menus from two years ago they used to offer beef Himalayan momos. The chicken curry was very filling! But it made a bit of a mess. Packaging could be improved. The mutton thali was well received. The components were packaged separately. So some assembly is required. The yogurt is sweet. The kurkure momo was very crispy and fresh. But all of the sauces (3 or 4) included were spicy. I would have liked a mild option. It's a little too dry to eat without a sauce. The sha baley is a bit like an empanada. It was very good. They're quite big. I'd say each one was the size of my hand. Very filling. They came in a paper bag. It's pretty tasty food with a good value!
