    a menu for the restaurant

I am so glad to find a new momo place in the East downtown. They are located near St Michaels Hospital. It is close to Eaton Centre as well. It's on the Queen St E but this area is quieter than other Queen St E stretch, with plenty of street parking options nearby. Opened in August 2023, this place is becoming slowly known, I actually found this from local foodies' good review. Stylish and modern interior, unlike the places in the Parkdale momo spots. What I liked about this place is the availability of mixed momo platter. If you use online platform, it comes with 12 pieces, but if you call the restaurant directly, you will get extra 2 pieces. The price is affordable compared to other few places that serve momo in the east side. Service is quick. The taste wise, I felt the wrapper somewhat lacked the bold wheat flavor and glutinous chewiness like Parkdale establishments, but the stuffing was juicy and well balanced. The meat and spice ratio was great, and the texture was smooth. So far this is the best Momo place for a person like me who looks for a quick service, affordable & quality momos in the East side of Toronto.

Fantastic momos. I wish I had move time and space in my belly to try all their entrees. I really wanted to try their chowmein. Beef momo was probably one of the best momos I have tried outside of Nepal. The service was quick, served by an very friendly owner. If you like momos, you will definitely like this place that is in a walking distance from downtown Toronto.

By the time we left, there was waiting to get a table. And for a good reason. The food is exceptional, got the tandoori chicken momo, chicken lollipop and Himalayan special fried rice. Everything was amazing. The lollipops are killer, highly recommend them but you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Will definitely recommend this place. We also had the tamarind mojito which was so good and refreshing.

They have a very extensive menu with plenty of options. We ordered steamed chicken momo, chicken curry, mutton thali, sha baley, and kurkure momo. Total after fees and tip was $125. It's a lot of food. We weren't able to finish it all. The steamed momo was very good. That was probably the favorite. However the choice for filling of the momos is limited. You only have chicken or veggie. Seeing order photos of menus from two years ago they used to offer beef Himalayan momos. The chicken curry was very filling! But it made a bit of a mess. Packaging could be improved. The mutton thali was well received. The components were packaged separately. So some assembly is required. The yogurt is sweet. The kurkure momo was very crispy and fresh. But all of the sauces (3 or 4) included were spicy. I would have liked a mild option. It's a little too dry to eat without a sauce. The sha baley is a bit like an empanada. It was very good. They're quite big. I'd say each one was the size of my hand. Very filling. They came in a paper bag. It's pretty tasty food with a good value!

Mixed feelings about their momos. (Pan fried beef momos & steamed chicken momos)…read moreHave to tell you first, I only had momos for take-out. So my review is quite limited... Loved the wrapper's texture and favour. Not too thin, not too thick. Hand pleated. Nice pure wheat-y flavour. No machine made tastelessness nonsense, which I really appreciated! But the fillings were under-seasoned, felt dry and bland to me. And many of the momos came with their wrappers torn - which may explain their dryness. When waiting for my order, I enjoyed its atmosphere - the unassuming outlook and hippy-way interior, very Kensinton-like place! May be better suited for eat-in, to feel the total ambience to boost my food experience.

Our server was excellent giving us an overview of their signature dishes such as Thenthuk (Tibetan noodle soup) and Tingmo (steamed bread) and these two items go perfectly together...loved it! We also had their Cajun-chilli beef Momo (dumplings) which was delicious. I enjoyed almost all the dishes but I wasn't a huge fan of their steamed chicken Momo as the skin was a bit thick and the meat was a bit dry in the dumpling...probably better if it was deep fried. And I must mention their Chili Chicken was a bomb. And the prices were very reasonable ranging from $13 to $15 per dish. For the four of us, the total bill was $82 including taxes for 4 main dishes, an appetizer and 2 smoothies. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we'll definitely be back!

Everything was delicious & freshly made. We really liked the sho-go momo (potato & onion). The deep fried banana is good too. Not too much batter which I liked a lot. I would definitely eat here again. Service: It's a little slow because there are only two people running the restaurant when we visited. They both were doing the cooking & serving. Hubby & I didn't mind because we weren't in a hurry. I think they should have some waitstaff to help them out. Ambiance: It's a clean restaurant. There are prayer flags strung up from the ceiling. The music they play sounded like monks chanting. It's a very relaxed vibe. On a hot summer day it was nice, breezy & cool inside. It felt nice at first but I started getting cold after a while. Their bathrooms are in the basement & we're also clean. The ceilings are a little low in the basement so you have to watch your head. All in all it was an enjoyable lunch. My favourite was the sho-go momos (potato & onion).

Food: 3 Stars Service: 3.5 Stars…read moreAmbience: 3 Stars Fill Factor: Satisfied Each time I wander Greek town and see this place I promise that I would try it next time as I am a big fan of all sorts of dumplings. Well today I finally decided to make good on that promise and while I was not blown away it was a positive experience overall. The first thing I noticed about the menu was how many momo options were available. A lot of different choices from your basic chicken/beef/pork to butter chicken momos so lots of options. I ended up just getting a half plate of steamed pork momos along with the chilli chicken. The momos were pretty average in terms of taste even when I used the sauces provided. Perhaps the fried version would have been better but I definitely was underwhelmed with this one. As for the chilli chicken, the flavour was decent and for those who love saucy dishes like me this one is not saucy at all. I asked for a 5-6 on a scale of 10 for spiciness and it definitely had a bit of a kick but nothing too spicy. In terms of taste it was decent however I found the chicken to be a bit on the dry side but not too bad. The folks there were super friendly and overall service was not bad. The food arrived quickly too which was a good thing as I was hungry. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and it was spaced out nicely so it was comfortable to be in. There were a lot of cabinets with different items in them so it might be interesting to look around while you wait for your food. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
