12/28/17 - I hate to do this but I have to knock my review down from 5 stars to 3 based on the revised menu. My husband and I normally get the same breakfast (Farmers Market Omelet) which we were happy to see is still on the menu. The good changes are they now serve it with homemade bread and a delicious jam. The negatives - the price of the dish went up slightly but they now allow you to pick your side without an up-charge. Initially I thought this was a good thing because I always paid the up-charge because I wanted the fresh fruit. The size of the side of fruit on the new dish is soooo tiny. You basically get 1 strawberry, a few grapes and a few blueberries which is disappointing. They also switched the onions to red onions and no longer cook the veggies all the way so they are still pretty crunchy and don't sit well with my stomach. Lastly the options they used to offer are no longer there -- no more cinnamon apples, less selection on the bread etc. Although these changes may seem minor to you (and some of them are) previously I was able to justify spending a little bit more on our breakfast ($33 including tip) as it was a treat... now T's has fallen out of our top spot for breakfast. read more

The first time I went here with my boyfriend, we got into a fight about something and I ordered the Rose Window Waffle because I wanted to stop being angry. See, the waffle comes with heaps of peaches, and I knew, as that song by The Presidents of the United States of America goes, that peaches are "nature's candy." And candy always makes things better, especially when it's on a waffle and you get to have coffee at the same time. Flash forward several months to this Sunday, when my guy and I end up back at T's because I remembered how freaking good that waffle was. We were told by the host that the wait would be 25 minutes - no big, considering it was a weekend morning. When we asked for coffee while we waited, however, the host looked at us like this was a big ask. Coffee proved to be the biggest problem of the morning from that point on. When we were seated, we still had coffee, and I was looking forward to ordering a grilled cheese and tomato soup. I missed the fine print where it says that lunch is served Monday through Saturday, however, and had to rethink options for a while, as it was getting into the afternoon. It would've saved time for our server if she had pointed this out to us, though my own fault for myopic eyesight and looking past all other text once I see the words "grilled cheese." We were asked if we were drinking regular coffee. My date replied that we were, we ordered brunch, not lunch, and we were on our way. Sort of. When the food arrived, it was pretty cold. I was disappointed with both the size and quality of my omelette, which contained brie, apples, and maple sausage. The brie was so runny and processed that I questioned if it was the real stuff. The sausage tasted more like hot dogs than breakfast sausage. Even the side of "warm cinnamon apples" was lukewarm at best. Totally not worth the money. My date's food was actually all right- he got the Narragansett Skillet with regular hash instead of maple, which was a solid choice. The home fries were tasty, as was the hollandaise. Still, the egg dish wasn't served hot. Back to the coffee- at least ten minutes in, my date asked me, "Do you think she asked if we were drinking regular or decaf as a formality?" because our server had never refilled the coffee. When we asked for it to be replenished, there was another wait before my cup was filled, but not my date's. Eventually, he had to ask again, and finally gave up on the coffee by the time she brought it. The restaurant was a little busy, but here's my one request: if something is going to take longer than usual, let a guest know so that they don't think you've forgotten. And no matter how crazy things may get, there is never, never a good excuse for cold eggs at brunch. read more

Remodeled....prices up less choices. Won't be coming back. The reason I loved it so much is because it felt like "Home" Now it's just another restaurant in the crowd. Super disappointed with lunch...low quality, overpriced fare! The T must stand for thieves...

"Clutch" is what I love to call this place. I grew up on Cranston and this is by far my favorite American breakfast place growing up and is still my favorite in the area. I have never been disappointed...except when I've woken up too late and end up at the end of their long waiting list. So worth the wait, though! I've been coming here for over 12 years and the service is always super friendly and the food is consistent with great quality ingredients and neat plating. The food is never greasy. The bacon is super crisp, their sausage links are juicy, and their hash is crispy, with just enough air so that they are not soggy or greasy. Their T Rose Waffle is my all time favorite with the Greek yogurt and fresh fruit medley. Their Brie LT is a yummy take on the classic BLT done with Bacon, spinach, tomato and a creamy brie spread on artisan bread. They have a Lite menu for those watching their figures. I've waited so long to review this place because the quality is so good and I've made so many memories here. Must try! Wake up in time, though! read more

The hostess wasn't the most pleasant; started carping an attitude when we asked to be seated as the last person in our party of 10 walked through the door. We called in advance letting them know our plan to surprise one of their servers in need. We finally were seated and our breakfast was delicious! What made our meal was our Server named Dallas, she was fantastic considering we were a large group. Dallas never missed bringing more water, coffee, tea, or anything else requested. We surprised her with a special holiday tip! Her gratitude was beyond reproach! The energy made breakfast more delicious and enjoyable! I don't frequent the Cranston location as we often go to East Greenwich and have always enjoyed our meal. It's a disappointment that the Hostess/Asst Manager was miserable in Cranston as I would love to ask for Dallas to be our waitress again in a heartbeat! read more

I was very disappointed with the breakfast I had today. I ordered the number seven, two eggs with sausage, toast and home fries. The home fries were like french fries, If I wanted french fries I would've ordered french fries. I requested my eggs over easy, I got them over medium, almost cooked thru. The sausage was chicken sausage rather than pork sausage that I had ordered. I got sourdough toast, and only got one slice. My friend ordered the same breakfast. His eggs were over easy. He agreed the home fries were like French fries cut up Into small pieces. This was not the first time that I was disappointed with my breakfast here, however my normal breakfast place was very crowded, and the wait was long, so I gave T's restaurant another chance. Next time I'll go to my normal place, and wait, because I hate to be disappointed with the meal I like the most. I found it to be pricey, and didn't receive what I had ordered. Zero complaints for brunch! Met up with a friend here for a spontaneous "boozy brunch" and was not disappointed. Mimosas are spot on and they will tweak a drink if you ask- ie my friend wanted just a splash of Baileys in her coffee and was happily accommodated. I had the amazing Heavens to Betsy omelet and danggggggg. My friend had Bacon Lovers Benedict and enjoyed it a lot. They aren't joking how much bacon is on that thing- she couldn't eat it all! Service was prompt and friendly. Place was bustling but not annoyingly noisy. I had to take a doctors call and was able to do so easily in the lobby. Ample parking with 2 entrances/exits. read more

Not handicap friendly.. I asked to order over the phone to get curbside to go and I would pay with cash they said you have to order on the website with a credit card I told them I didnt have one and I use muscular dystrophy crutches they said I have to come in and get it. I told them i wouldn't be able to carry it. Excellent food and service. My wife and I have been here a few times for breakfast. Recently, we've took our baby. The staff was excellent and made sure our young son had everything he needed. They brought the food were ordered for him out right away. I think I've tried all of the eggs Benedict they have on the menu. The eggs have always been cooked to perfection. The hash is great and the homefries were cooked the way I wanted them. Easy on the seasoning which made them so great. read more

We went to T's in Cranston for the first time in a long time today. It used to be our favorite breakfast spot. Sadly, we were so disappointed. The menu has definitely shrunk. Everyone around us was also confused. It took a long time for us to even choose what to order, as some favorites have disappeared or changed. In addition to the selection being narrower, prices have risen and portions have gotten smaller. For example, my sister ordered the Ooey Gooey French Toast. It was maybe half the size of what it used to be, but cost $1 more. When the food, arrived, it was mediocre, at best. It seems like they are trying to go more "upscale" instead of sticking with their winning neighborhood restaurant vibe. For instance, on the kids' menu, instead of the "Mickey pancake", there are now "ancient grain cakes". We won't be returning as long as this new direction continues. I am not the kind of person who writes negative reviews. I prefer to give glowing reviews to places that really impress me. However, I'm offering this up in the spirit of constructive criticism. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Way too overpriced for the portion you get. I ordered a three egg omelette with spinach bacon and cheddar cheese. My omelette came with two pieces of spinach and no cheese. I asked if this was three eggs because it looked like one and was told it's measured in a ladle. Curbside pick up was very slow and disorganized. I waited and waited for about a half hour after my food was supposed to be ready. I received a slow response after sending out a text message. The servers came to my car twice with the wrong order. Meanwhile, another car pulled up beside me and received food right away. The food was cold when I finally received it and brought it home. The staff was very attentive and even though there was a 20 minute wait, they were very helpful in providing us with updates on when we would be seated. Ts has always been my favorite place for breakfast until now :( the renovation isn't very inviting and the menu is the most disappointing part. My boyfriend and I were so upset because we get breakfast every Sunday after church, and sad to say we won't be coming back. We really hope you go back to the old menu. Raising your prices on a crappy menu just because you think it fits the atmosphere of the renovation doesn't make it right. The table next to me is currently upset with the menu as well. As someone new to Cranston (and RI), this was quite the find! The restaurant has an casual dining feel to it and they serve breakfast and lunch. I came here this past Sunday with a group of 3 other people for brunch. The wait time was about an hour and ten minutes so do be prepared to wait on the weekends, it seems to die down around 12. I ordered the Re-Tweet (eggs, home fries, bacon, and French toast) and enjoyed each bit of it. The maple butter in the French Toast really puts it over the top. The food came out fast and servers were great. The prices were a bit more than diner fair but nothing over the top. I will be back! read more

Best place for breakfast in New England. You walk into this beautifully aesthetic restaurant, and are greeted by the friendliest faces. My group of 6 was sat immediately and drink orders taken. It's a bright place with lots of seating options. The menu is unique, with many options for everyone, including delicious breakfast cocktails! I ordered one of the combos and it tasted fresh, from the toast to the eggs! I'll come here every time I return to the city for the holidays. First off, my service and server while at T's was absolutely phonominal. Even if my food wasn't great (which is not even close to the case) I would go back to for the friendliness and great hospitality. Now, on to the food. I am a person who doesn't perticularly like french toast, and if I wasn't so full would have kept eating theirs all day long!! I got the Texas french toast with candies walnuts on top of it, and let me tell you, a MUST GET while visiting T's! I also got home fries, a 2 egg ham and cheese omlet, grilled English muffin, and corned beef hash. There was not one item on any of my 3 massive plates, that I wouldn't go back there and get 10 more times!!! It was one of the best breakfast joints I've been to in my 22 years of life!! My husband accompanied me to breakfast this morning and instead of getting breakfast food, he opted for lunch. He got a turkey sandwich type thing with herb mayo. I didn't try any of it, but every bite he took into the sand which was followed by comments like "oh my gosh this is so good!" "I'm so glad I got this!!" And "we will absolutely be coming back to this restaurant!!" All in all, if your in the area (or not, because it's totally worth the trip!) T's is a MUST STOP kind of place! The owner responded to my review, and, in turn, I contacted her three ways: 1) here via yelp; 2) I called the restaurant and left a message with my name and contact info; and, 3) I emailed her at the email address she provided (which means that she has my email address that I've been using for over 15 years). Based upon her response to me here on yelp, I believed she wanted to address my disappointment with her Cranston location restaurant. As she failed to reply to me via yelp, phone, and/or email, I am convinced otherwise. I didn't see her yelp response immediately (as I am new to yelp), so, I didn't contact her right away. However, it's been well over a month since I did contact her, which informs me that she had an initial response of displeasure that prompted her to contact me, then, subsequently -- just wrote me off, so to speak. When I wrote my review for her restaurant, I did not read the other reviews as I did not want my review to be influenced in any way -- I wanted it to be mine 100%, which indeed it is. After she responded to me, I then read all the reviews and discovered that other reviewers shared similar experiences with poor service. This said, I am perplexed as to why she replied to me and did not reply to other reviews who also experienced shoddy service. I cannot recommend T's to anyone based upon their poor service, and, additionally -- upon an owner who clearly does not truly care about the negative experiences of past customers. read more

I like that you can substitute baked apples for the home fries (not that I ever would without others around to remind me of my diet). I have visited several times and have always found the staff to be very friendly and the omelets quite good. Ugh - T's had so much potential!! Finn, a young Irish waitress was an absolute doll. Our food was delightful, and we were seated right away. We loved our time here so much, that we came back the very next day. Allyson C. was a disaster for a waitress. One of my friends saw corn muffins as we entered, and wanted to order one- but Allyson said they didn't have any....So he asked for a blueberry instead. *why does a waitress not know their product?* She completely forgot what muffin, and had one of her coworkers ask us what we wanted. Come to find out, there were corn muffins. She never refilled our coffees or waters and we had to ask other people for more, and completely forgot our coffee cinnamon roll, which we had to order through another waitress. It came AFTER we finished all of our meal. We waited 30 mins for a check, and asked her to split it. 10 mins later she brought over one check and said she would split it as she charged it. She then came back to our table, said "I'm so stupid" and put the entire amount on one card. She closed it out accidentally and seemed more upset over the fact that we could no longer write in a tip amount. Really?!? The food was tasty, and we were seated quickly, which is important in my book for breakfast, but I was incredibly peeved after my Allyson C. experience, and it will be a while until I return to T's in Cranston. read more

You had my at your home fries T's. I can't say enough great things about T's Restaurant. The service is always spot on and the wait staff is friendly. I sat at the bar because there was a wait for a table and had the most delicious iced vanilla coffee and it was a generous portion. I also had scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, and a toasted English muffin (the only way to have them). The scrambled eggs were cooked well and fresh, the bacon wasn't overly done but also wasn't overly fatty and the home fries were cooked to golden perfection. A great place to go with family, friends, or a hot date. I have been back many times and will be again in the future. read more

Yeah hi, this is the ultimate breakfast place in Rhode Island. Well OK, I'm sure there are other places, but T's is awesome. It's like Bickfords meets Friendly Toast. And what I mean by this is that the decor is straight out of Leave it to Beaver, but the food is creative and downright delectable. Oh and also because there are lines out the wazoo on the weekends. Everyone is so nice there too. It's not hip by any means, so you've got your locals and your sons taking their moms out for breakfast and whatnot. And you're generally in close corners, squashed up against another table, so you have no choice but to make friends. Anyway, the breakfast is good, so go eat there. They have an omelet filled with steak onions and this spicy sauce and its amaaaazing. read more

Was in the area hanging out with a friend and we were looking for brunch spots. We found this restaurant, and definitely happy we decided to come here. Came here with a friend at 2PM for a late brunch and seated promptly. Food: The food was solid. Everything was good and nothing to complain about. Home fries were crispy and tasty, sausage and bacon were standard, pumpkin pancakes (which were pretty big!) were tasty and fluffy. Good brunch food overall and definitely filling. Drinks: Had coffee with brunch. I thought it was alright, was hoping for better though. They did keep my coffee filled, so that was definitely nice. read more

I have been there now about 10+ times, the food is very good and very consistent. There's nothing worse than a breakfast place that when you go sometimes the eggs are runny and than sometimes too dry, or that the home fries are greasy one time and the next they are fantastic. The food has been very consistent and the wait staff has always been kind and courteous every-time i've been there. The food menu gives you enough options where you wont leave wanting something specific and become disappointed. Pretty popular spot so it was no surprise when we were greeted with a 30 minute wait for a table. Once seated the real wait began. The table got its first cup of coffee and we ordered our meals. 30 minutes later our waitress still hadn't checked on us, so we had to flag her down for a refill. Another 15 minutes later our food started coming out at different times. We had a table of six, so by the time all the food came out some of it was cold. Decided to give this another try. Well what a difference from my last trip. Out waitress Dana made the entire experience a pleasant one. She greeted us with smiles and conversation and made sure that we had coffee refills, that our food was good and constantly checked on us with a smile. The food was hot, and very tasty, the coconut coffee reminded me of Hawaii Kona coffee, so delicious. A big Thank you to the manager who came to the table to greet us and thank us for our patronage as well. That means a lot. All in all a great visit and worth the 5 stars. As far as casual breakfast/lunch places, this is a great place to visit. I don't understand the complaints about the prices in the previous posts- I really think those yelpers are off base. The fact is that the food, service, prices and general surroundings are great at all T's locations and the restaurant is very clean and efficiently run. I usually go to their Cranston restaurant, so that is where I have had the most T's dining experiences. Also, good service is important to me and I must say that somehow they know how to hire and retain very friendly waiters/waitresses. I'm glad to see they they have opened several new locations in Rhode Island. One day, if we are lucky on the Southcoast of Massachusetts, T's will venture over the border. I must highly compliment the family that runs T's - they do one heck of a job. read more
