New roof installed in 3 days...in Winter! Fast. Competent. Reliable. And great attitudes.

Do yourself a big favor and don't hire this firm!…read more Armand Morel of Morel Construction misrepresented the way he would work, and then, after I felt compelled to fire him, he attempted to overcharge me by over $20,600 for the partial demolition he had accomplished to that point. I had to hire a lawyer who advised me to negotiate a settlement, which involved compromises I found difficult to make, because the lawyer told me that all-too-often he has seen contractors get away with fraud and theft by changing their business name, leaving the area, or otherwise absconding with people's money. I had to watch hours of security camera videos to make my case against Armand and collect hard evidence that would be acceptable in court. I lost a lot of time and resources related to my job's completion. My lawyer and I settled for $15,850 on 12/6/23. Armand still got away with thousands more than he should have been paid--plus I had to then pay a legal bill of roughly $2500. Therefore, not including my time, energy, delayed job, and stress, I was out roughly $7250. Armand could be skimming money off customers by the way he does business. For one thing, he made me wait for his pricing till the 11th hour, with the house already packed up and ready for demolition--and his estimate was not itemized. He only listed a part of the scope of work we had gone over in his two site visits. He gave only a lump sum total and required a very large deposit up front to start the job. When I said, "but your description here doesn't include this, and this, and this, which we'd gone over," he said those other things would have to go on a separate estimate and would cost extra. Armand had told me he would always, always be on the job personally but he was almost never there. He also gave my door code out to people who were not authorized by me to have it, and when I pointed out shortcomings, he was rude to me. I had to fire him and then to fight to get money back.
