I don't know what happened to this place since the last time I came a few months ago??? The tacos were missing the cotija cheese and they were super greasy. The carnitas and steak tasted off and it doesn't help that inside smells weird inside the restaurant now. The chicharrones were stale but the lady that took my order was nice. I came here with an intention to eat delicious birria and that's what I did! My partner and I got carnitas and birria, and both were good, but we prefer the birria, it also makes sense with the consome provided with the three tacos no matter the meat. Elote cup was bomb, and a pretty decent size too for us to share. Loved the little chicharon chips to munch on and pickled onions on the side. Wow! was looking for just a good taco and I found a Amazing Taco and MORE! We lucked out as well as Ashley one of the owners was there and just we talked food as it was so fresh and everything made in house. Okay to say this is some of the freshest well made just... wow. First time coming to this establishment, been wanting to come since the first open but then they had to close down for repairs located . I ordered the Carnitas ,Asada and Burris very tasty. The consommé was pretty good. I even sipped it like a cup of soup. The lady at the counter was helpful in helping us choose what ti choose from menu. Very colorful art on the walls like it's a party in Mexico. I know although I enjoy a very crunchy taco some mushy. I still enjoyed it. Update: I tried the quest burrito with chicken, all the ingredients are well seasoned on their own. I couldn't tell you which I liked more the chicken the beans or the rice! Husband and I ordered the chicken loco fries and also the carnitas ramen. Both were amazing! The fries were THE best we've ever tried. Fresh and crispy and loaded. The ramen was also super good. We got the chicken tacos and only wanted 2 but they only sell them in 3s. Also ordered chicken quesadillas . My tacos were stuffed with chicken in this small red taco shell. There was no lettuce, tomatoes or cheese in the tacos . They gave this cup of red juice that I don't know what it was ? I dunked my tacos in it but it was so bland. We came in hungry probably ordered too much because we definitely did not finish anything. The original red tacos are soooo good. Lots of cheese, the chicken was delicious, perfectly seasoned. Green salsa is everything! You won't be disappointed. Had the carnitas fries. Overall experience was 1.5/5. Waited at the front counter while the only guy taking orders guy was on the phone for 10 mins doing a phone order... The elote cup slapped($1 but not enough to make up for extra 40+ minute wait time for our food, when we were only one of two sets of customers at the restaurant. The fact that the food is in To-go packaging was a weird feel with the hefty price points. I got the "papas rolled red tacos" or whatever they were. $16+ for 3 mashed potato taquitos we're not IT. I've seen the responses from your 'manager' on here regarding pricing due to local restaurants and location. But if you're gonna charge that, you need to DELIVER like these other places are that charge that much. The restaurant was clean and the murals inside provided a trendy, chill vibe. The feedback over the speaker was a little rough, with a popping noise that made us want to dive under the table. Our food came pretty quick. Presentation was great. The red tortillas are a cool touch to classic favorites. The food tasted okay enough, but definitely needed a little more salt/seasoning. If you're expecting something closer to authentic Mexican cuisine, I would pass on this place. Portions were a little small for the price. Randomly found this place in Pismo and decided to stop in for a late night dinner and to my delight they have potato tacos, puffy potato tacos. I love the vibe here. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The tacos didn't disappoint, we almost went back the next day. There's a lot on the menus we were hoping to try, elote, churros, nachos, etc, but there wasn't enough room in our stomach. I liked the music, I just wish it was being played at half the volume. The music was so loud I couldn't hear the questions they were asking me when they took my order. Then, when I sat down with my friend, we couldn't have a conversation. I spoke to one of the staff. I told him that the music was too loud and if he could please turn it down. Food is supposed to be nourishing however you'll leave here feeling like a greaseball with a stomachache. It's a newer restaurant and it's already dirty. The floor and table were all sticky. I can only imagine the kitchen isn't much cleaner. Maybe that's why we felt sick after eating there. Maybe the health department should look into this place. Well, I was excited to try this place while I was in Pismo but it was very disappointing. First when we ordered, all the beers my friend wanted were empty and was just told no. I ordered a lemonade and she gave me a Dr Pepper.... Our Birria tacos came out and were served in to-go boxes, and the tacos were awful! They tasted like grease and cheese, no other flavors at all. The red shells are a gimmick. And for almost $20 for them you might as well go to Taco Bell and get a quesadilla, Taco Bell is better. Then we got a shrimp cocktail. The pictures online show it being served in a typical shrimp cocktail glass, but it was served in a tall plastic beer cup, and the shrimp on the rim of the cup were full of shrimp poop. The rest of it only tasted like cucumbers and cilantro. And for another $20 for this... go somewhere else. We saw several other customers complaining while we were there.
