Tryp madrid suites is a great location is youre only there for the night and going to the airport the next day. Definitely catch an uber to the airport which ranges from 9 to 16 euros whereas the hotel airport shuttle starts at 11.50 and ends at 20 euros per person Super clean hotel. Lovely staff. Great common area with wifi (free throughout hotel), and vending machines Room is expansive with bathtub, shower, large lounge area, with fridge (no kettle tea or coffee) and cupboards Swimming pool use requires a swimming cap. Breakfast and dinner restaurant is massive with way too many options that will send you into a food coma. My favourites include fresh greek yoghurt (impossible to find in spain got tired of the uber sweet yoghurt), warm melted hot chocolate fresh grape fruit grapes and watermelon, awesome coffee from coffee machine and even rice and noodle with broth Getting into atocha station involves a risky non lit walk along the highway to san fernando station. 6 to 7 stops later youre at atocha. Do not attempt the walk at night. I nearly got run over.

Spent one night here…read more There's a shuttle every half hour that takes you to and from the airport. Email or call in to find out where to get it. We had to walk about ten minutes to get to it and found it easily because we asked reception prior to. We arrived at the hotel early evening and had an early flight so stayed at the hotel for dinner. Thankfully the restaurant is very good, which is why I rate the hotel four stars instead of three. We weren't expecting a lot given the way the restaurant looks. But once we tried the food we were super impressed. The bacon cheese burger, roast beef sandwich, and eggs with jamon and potatoes were very good. We liked everything we got. Service was fine. The hotel itself could be nicer and cleaner. It felt tired. Lots of stained common area carpets on the way to our room. Our door had lots of scratches by the lock. Our room was fine. I felt it went from cold to warm during the night with too much variation between the two and I ended up inside then outside then inside then outside the covers again as a result. It was annoying to go from cold to hot so much. It seemed clean but I have super high standards when it comes to that. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I'd like so I opted out of using the shower. The beds were clean and well made up for us. The room offers free small cartons of water, some little cookies (four very small ones), and coffee for free. I'd have skipped the room coffee if I knew down in the lobby they had Nescafé machines that were far better. They have little cookies and palmeras there as well to grab before you catch the shuttle. Overall a good place for a night if you need to catch an early flight the next day. Would return.

The rooms are very basic, smelly, outdated The restaurant is terrible, menu is very limited, and the food is cooked incorrectly (got a burger undercooked) , several errors. Not close to the airport, takes a long taxi trip. The shuttle is a paid service, not linked to the hotel Not recommended. Very rare to find a bad place in this city, well, this is one of them.

At the end of January we arrived very early from our overnight flight from the USA and were able to check in at 7am! I believe that Airin (spelling) checked us in and he was super helpful. As platinum members we got access to their very nice executive lounge and breakfast at their large buffet. Because we had an early flight again the next day and would miss it they gave us breakfast access on the morning we checked in early. It was an impressive buffet. The best part of both stays was the upgraded room - it was a very large suite with a second bathroom. Wow! Very comfortable bed and nice bathrooms. Doubtful they would do that upgrade in the US. The executive lounge was very nice with good food and a very friendly staff. We used in for dinner on both visits. Our return visit had the same exceptional customer service and upgraded room. Alejandro was great at check-in. The hotel is close to the airport with a free shuttle. We didn't figure out how to catch it at the airport but we used it to go back both times. It was very handy. It is about 20 mins (no traffic) into town via bolt /Uber/taxi. Highly recommended!

After getting lost our selves we were reassured when we saw two separate pilots trying to figure out what wing/block they were going to. Rooms are clean and beds. Are up to Marriott standards but our shower head kept falling down.. they need to better!! Biggest pass along - DON'T EAT HERE it is awful; worst gristle loaded terrible tasting hamburger I think I have ever had .... Jump in an Uber and find something to save yourself the disappointment. Spain has wonderful cuisine and Marriott should be ashamed!!

We stayed for three nights, fully knowing that the airport was FAR from the center of the city. They dont claim to be close, or provide any transportation, so this isnt something I could hold against them. We transported ourselves to the center of the city everyday through Public Transportation, and it was quite cheap and easy to do so. The free breakfast was good too, although lacked variety a little bit. There was a pool and gym which we didnt use. All in all, i recommend staying here for a more affordable approach at your stay in Madrid.

LAND OF THE LOST The…read moreonly reason I stayed here was because I needed a single night layover as I made my way over to the Canary Islands. I thought it would be great to grab a hotel near the airport because I had an early morning flight. When I arrived at the hotel I felt like I had been taken to a desert and left to die. The hotel was the only Oasis in sight. Check in was easy but then again I think I was the only one staying here. The room was also clean and nice too. I took about an hour to regroup in the room and figure out a game plan. I pulled out a map and plotted my next move. I risked life and limb to go through a construction site and cross over the expressway to get on a bus. I took the bus for a few stops and reached a small town that had a subway station into downtown Madrid. It was a complete adventure but nothing I would like to do everyday. When I returned back in the evening, I decided not to risk my life with the bus again and took a short taxi trip from the subway back to the hotel. The taxi driver charged me like 10 Euro but at this point safety was high on my list. Riding on a strange bus on an expressway in the dark and trying to figure out my hotel stop was not a smart option. There was breakfast in the morning but it was not available to me because I had an early morning flight. Then I got to the airport only to find that there was no food there. I finally found a cafe at the airport that opened at 6am. So if you have an early morning flight then have a game plan for breakfast. There is nothing open early at the hotel nor did they have any food available and you might have to go hungry for a while. The location of the hotel was a little scary. I was in a bit of shock when I arrived. The photos of the hotel only show the hotel and not the abandoned area it is located in. If you have a short layover then the price is worth it but do not stay here for more then one day unless you wanna feel like Tom Hanks from Castaway. Wilson come back!!!
