Check in was a but slow, since there was a big family before us and they were just a bottleneck. It took a while doe the reception staff to acknowledge us and finally we got checked in. A plus when you come from a long flight or tired! We had a high floor room with a balcony and the view was awesome! Breakfast is extra but it is super convenient with quality items, made to order eggs (from a list they provide), cheese, fruit, pastries and delicious coffee! The restaurant is on the top of the building, so you get to see the awesome view! Jorge was super nice, friendly, attentive and was happy to answer any questions we had. The staff was attentive as well. The only con - the security staff needs to be less rude and more attentive, when guests ask a question. All of the ones we encountered clearly did not want to be at work and just had a negative attitude. Something the hotel needs to check out. Overall, it was a great stay!

Great location. The staff is lacking in customer service though. I will explain our problems:…read more1. We booked a family joined room plus one extra room. Rooms 315, 316, 317. So everything started out positively. But then we had key issues EVERY SINGLE DAY. We had to go back downstairs each day several times because the keys would stop working. At first it was fine but come on! EVERY SINGLE DAY multiple times. Then the staff blamed it on us. They said we weren't using the key card correctly. I speak Spanish so I made sure to let them know in Spanish so there was no "Lost In Translation." I told them that we are world travelers and this has NEVER happened to us before. They just gave me a smug look. She then had to reissue us four new keys again and the others wouldn't work anymore. Well guess what? My niece came back to the hotel and the key that wasn't supposed to work ended up working. So basically they have no idea what they are talking about. So frustrating! 2. One of the rooms, number 317, the sink was backing up. So my niece went downstairs, I witnessed the conversation. They told her she just needed to clean the sink. Really? That's our job? They finally said they would check it out. 3. The rooftop bar is very cold this time of year. They don't turn all heaters on. So we sat in the cold wind for one drink and we were out. The bartender hates his job because he never smiled. Worst ever.

There was a van blocking the entrance and the front windows were being washed at check-in time so we had to park near the road at the end of the driveway. Because they did not have any luggage carts, we had to carry all the luggage into the lobby. Check-in went smoothly in English. We were in room 121 with 2 twin beds and 2 twin bunks. The structure and furniture are in very good condition given most is white leather. The living area is a nice size having a love seat, 2 chairs, ottoman and eating table but you give up a lot of room to walk with this furniture. There are 2 small closets with a few shelves and only 8 hangers. The bathroom is ample sized with basic toiletries accommodating 2 person if necessary. Our bathroom floor had dirt and debris on the edges and corners which I cleaned up myself for our personal comfort. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the sheets are in very good condition but they are not soft. Lighting is good throughout and there are black out drapes. We entered the room which was a bit warm and turned the A/C on to the coldest. 4 hours later the temperature did not change and we called the front desk who informed us to change the settings, which we did. Overnight, the internal temperature did not change, I believe it stayed around 78 degrees F. We called the front desk the next morning at 11:30 am to request a maintenance visit and no one showed up. We were uncomfortable with this temperature as it was warm for us. I don't think I would come back here and would be able to find a better place for us. I was disappointed because it is a very cool and hip decor.

I'll start by saying that I hate when Americans travel and demand the convenience they're used to…read morein the States--objectively, that's not the case with my experience at this hotel. I travel a lot and I stay in Marriott properties every time I can because the quality is always consistent and the higher prices are typically worth a good night's sleep. That proved not to be the case with this hotel. The staff, although mostly friendly and kind, were wildly unhelpful when it came to an air conditioning issue we had in our room. Come to find out it was an issue in a lot of rooms. In the middle of the night after the "staff weren't able to fix the AC in our room," they ended up moving us to another room without AC--not sure why they thought that would fix the problem, but we tried to sleep for a few hours and then eventually just returned to our original room without AC because it was even hotter in the new room they gave us. Nevertheless, you should get working air conditioning after paying €300/night for a room (a very nice and spacious room for Madrid I might add). Considering the temperature outside was so high during our stay, opening the windows to the noisy city streets below the hotel did not prove to be beneficial. We toughed out the heat (see attached photo for the range of what our thermostat consistently read), but we were not able to sleep as we were just sweating profusely in bed all night long. Truly a miserable hotel experience. When I asked for some financial break for our stay, the hotel offered a very minimal discount on my nightly rate saying that the issue wasn't that big of a deal, and there was nothing else that they could do. Not having AC in a modern hotel during a heat wave is a pretty big problem in my opinion. I'll add that the hotel lobby was very pleasant and air conditioned--perhaps we should have just brought our pillows and blanket down to the lobby and slept on the floor? I'm open to editing this review if the hotel manager is willing to fairly compensate us for the issues we had during our stay. Other than the air conditioning issue, this is a pretty nice hotel. Not worth €300/night even if the air conditioning was working properly, but again usually Marriott properties are worth the price tag because they deliver on consistence, comfort and quality--this hotel did not.

Great, because I did not sleep on the plane! The room was immaculate and the staff did a great job of resetting it each day. Comfortable with a large bed, work desk, power outlets, a small fridge, sitting area and a large bathroom that had two sinks at the vanity and a separate "toilet" room. My only complaint with the bathroom was that it has that strange half-shower which meant a lot of spray on the floor and a lot of cold air in the shower. I don't understand this design at all. Great location. I opted not to have the included breakfast, getting more points returned to my account. I did not utilize the fitness area or the bar. Everyone spoke very good English.
