Tarps and construcción workers all over the place
    C L.

Run down hotel in the middle of a remodel, they still charge for the remodeled experience. Rooms are pretty dated, stairways are closed, improvised restaurant, plastic carps, temporary paneling... 1 hour wait for airport shuttle, plus another 20 mins for check in. Overpriced restaurant prices...

Needed a place to stay for one night before my flight home. This hotel is located about 5-10 min to the airport. Best way I can express what this place looks like is dated. The good news is the room is big but it looks like you are sleeping in your grandma's house. We also ate dinner at the restaurant in lobby and it was ok. Check pictures and see wha you think. We watched a soccer game while enjoying dinner which made it better but other than that nothing special. The morning changed my experience of the hotel. It had One of the best hotel breakfast spreads I have had. All sorts of items. Really great. The staff working were also very attentive and helpful. Awesome to see. It bumped the rating up significantly! That is why you don't judge a place until the full experience is over!!

I booked this room on the way from Ibiza as I had an 10 hour layover in Madrid on the way back home to Chicago. I made it to the hotel around 1am and check-in was of course fast. I saw there was a bar and outdoor pool but I could not take advantage of either because it was too late. I went to my room and was surprised by the size...room was big as hell! Awesome king size bed, office style desk, couch and love seat. Bathroom was stellar as well with the rainfall shower head in addition to a separate spa like tub and complimentary shaving kit, toothbrush and toothpaste and all other toiletries you can imagine. This room was one of the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. Next time I am in Madrid, this is where I will stay as it is very close to the airport as well. This awesome place cost me only $112 a nite!

The room was very cozy with all of the basic needs except for an iron and ironing board, which was no big thing, and the hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. There was a full bar and a nice restaurant, Urban Bistro, that satisfied my culinary needs. Breakfast was not included but for €8 extra, one could indulge in a delightful buffet breakfast. There is no shuttle bus but Uber was only €7 to Terminal 1 where my flight was leaving from. I will definitely stay here again with more time so I can explore the village, a destination known for its parks, pubs, and leisure spaces and even canoeing on a serene city park lake.

Since our flight to Dallas was the next morning, we booked a hotel near the Madrid Airport. We had a lovely surprise when we stayed at Hotel Clement Barajas near the airport. Expecting that we would need to taxi to a restaurant, we found out that the hotel had a good restaurant where we enjoyed wine and nice tapas. In addition, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was large, modern, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. In the morning, we made coffee in our room, but also enjoyed a very nice breakfast buffet in the hotel for a very modest price. Also, Clement had a complimentary and nice shuttle to the airport every hour. If you need to stay near the Madrid airport, I would highly recommend this friendly and nice hotel, with such an economical price.

At the end of January we arrived very early from our overnight flight from the USA and were able to check in at 7am! I believe that Airin (spelling) checked us in and he was super helpful. As platinum members we got access to their very nice executive lounge and breakfast at their large buffet. Because we had an early flight again the next day and would miss it they gave us breakfast access on the morning we checked in early. It was an impressive buffet. The best part of both stays was the upgraded room - it was a very large suite with a second bathroom. Wow! Very comfortable bed and nice bathrooms. Doubtful they would do that upgrade in the US. The executive lounge was very nice with good food and a very friendly staff. We used in for dinner on both visits. Our return visit had the same exceptional customer service and upgraded room. Alejandro was great at check-in. The hotel is close to the airport with a free shuttle. We didn't figure out how to catch it at the airport but we used it to go back both times. It was very handy. It is about 20 mins (no traffic) into town via bolt /Uber/taxi. Highly recommended!

Biggest pass along - DON'T EAT HERE it is awful; worst gristle loaded terrible tasting hamburger I think I have ever had .... Jump in an Uber and find something to save yourself the disappointment. Spain has wonderful cuisine and Marriott should be ashamed!!

I did the math and the 20 euro cell phone call was the same as the 20 euro taxi ride across the street. Long story why I didnt walk. I get there and check in...kinda reminds me of Psycho....strip club across the street. I go up the sole elevator to my room. Open the door. AND SHRIEK IN HORROR! I stood there afraid to take off my shoes for the first 15 minutes staring at the likely semen stained bed spreads. I went across the street (not to strip club) to buy a pack of cigarettes and chain smoke until I relaxed. I got on Facebook, complained a lot to my friends and decided to make the best of it. I went back upstairs and threw the nasty quilt on the floor and took a shower. Note; the place is a shit hole but the shower heads have these disco ball light changing things in them, really strange and the money your disco shower costs could have gone to a maid service. I rolled down the sheets and found only 2 hairs, neither pubic and tried to turn on the television. I had only a few hours to sleep and the remote control had semen on it (literally) so it all worked out in the end. The matress fell off the bed at one point, which by then, I was laughing about everything. I itched all night, but I m fairly certian it was psychosematic. Anyways, it s loud. Really loud and scary and kinda resembles that crack motel Tom Hanks stays in when he first becomes a grown up in BIG. Chalk it up to experience.

Despite what the the website and telephone answering service say, they do not provide shuttle services either to or from the Madrid airport. You'll have to get a taxi or rideshare from the airport (it actually seems to be cheaper to take Uber). The front desk can arrange a taxi for pickup when you're leaving, but you'll find that Ubers are plentiful around the area. Check in and check out are easy. Staff are professional and courteous but the rooms themselves exceeded expectations. Everything was spotless and though the themed rooms are a little kitschy, the overall design is sleek and well stocked with toiletries and storage space. Beds were comfy and our family suite's bathroom was enormous. There's a small suburban shopping area not too far away but didn't get to take advantage as we arrived late at night.

This is not the Ritz... if that is what you require look elsewhere rather than being a jerk on Yelp. Pros: ======= -Staff was friendly and accommodating. -The room was clean, well supplied, and of a comfortable size. (Not big, but not uncomfortably small.) -The food at the restaurant downstairs was wonderful. I am not a food snob by any means, but the selections were tasty, and fresh. (Here the staff was especially wonderful. -The blackout curtains were great. -I heard a jet ONCE and it was a low hum. Cons: ====== -The temperature in shower was unstable day and night. It would go from hot to searing to tepid on a dime. Would stay here again for sure.
