Hyatt Centric has an excellent location, we were able to walk to many great restaurants in the area. The staff was wonderful, especially the doorman, who was friendly and welcoming at all times. Check-in was fast and smooth, and our room was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. We truly enjoyed breakfast each morning, especially the delicious soup they served daily (I miss it already!), along with fresh fruit and many other tasty options. The staff's warmth made the experience truly special. The hotel feels new, with modern décor, and they even have a coffee shop on-site that serves excellent coffee. 2 night stay while visiting Madrid. Definitely a more premium hotel from a price perspective, but also extremely central located so walkable to everything. Was able to easily catch a cab from the airport to the hotel at a fixed rate and got dropped off right across the street. Friendly arrival with bellman helping to bring luggage inside. Check in was also quick and friendly. Room was clean, spacious enough, and modern. Bed was comfy, however, the pillows were not. Knowledgeable concierge. Asked for a local restaurant, reasonable price, in the neighborhood, and they sent us to this Spanish tavern-like spot 5 min away. They even called the restaurant to make sure they could seat us before we arrived. The restaurant was hella good and there were no locals inside. Check out was also really easy. Quick and straightforward. Receipt emailed. Needed a cab to the train station and they helped to call one so it was ready and could fit all our luggage. read more

Their location is the best!!! It is very central. Just a few minutes' walk to everything. The room we got assigned had a fantastic view of the city. The room was spacious, with the design being modern. It was always clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked great. There was no bathtub, but it was no big deal at all. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. They worked fast and were always ready to help if you had any questions. One of the elevators in the main lobby was out of order a couple of times, which was a bit of an inconvenience. However, there's an elevator in the back, which was available most of the time. Last but not least, the breakfast buffet was amazing. There were lots of options to choose from. The service was excellent overall. I would love to come back to this hotel. read more

Loving this central location, easy access to several tourist sites, restaurants and the subway. We went in late August 2022 and it was nice to come back for a little siesta on hot summer days. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a very large and well decorated room. Funny enough the pattern used in the room matched my mask. Later I learned it's from Christian Dior. (Asked the front desk but he had no clue;) Eco-friendly hotel where you can refill water from the gym and plus they supply non-plastic water bottle in the room. Breakfast was fantastic. Stayed here for 3 nights, and the experience has been amazing. After entering the front doors, you are escorted to the check-in area where they were courteous and helpful. The hotel is located in Sol and is conveniently located to everything, from shopping to dining. Once you step outside if the hotel, you are practically in the time square if Madrid. The staff was helpful in suggesting great restaurants in the area and it's been a hit for both myself and my wife. The hotel is new, it was opened December 2017. The rooms, fitness center, and restaurants in the hotel are spectacular. The 10th floor which is the highest floor has great views of the whole city. Although they are opened for business, not everything is 100% complete. I am currently staying on the highest floor, but their still working on some of the things up here, which appear to be the pathway to the outside terrace and also their will be a restaurant and rooftop bar, which isn't opened yet. I'm sure once everything is 100% completed, this will be a great place to hangout with friends and family. I have stayed at many Hyatt properties and this one was one has been the best, both in terms of the actual stay and location of the hotel. Although it can be a bit pricey, depending on the season, but if you're willing spend the few extra dollars (in this case, euros), it'll go a long way. You are literally in the center of everything. Without a doubt if I were to return to Madrid, I would choose this hotel again. read more

This is a fresh and new hotel. I thought the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I arrived early and they had a room available. The rooms are comfortable however they do not have very good seating if you need to work in the room. Thus, it feels more like a leisure than business hotel. Got upgraded to a junior suite and I checked into the hotel at like 7am. Was pretty lucky to get it right there. The staff that checked me in was very friendly. The room was very spacious and it had multiple usb plugs on each of the outlets which was awesome. I also stayed at the Circulon GRAN Via which is close by and a Marriott property and this one blows it out of the water. The breakfast here was also pretty decent. Not the best in terms of all Hyatt's but it works. The gym was a good size and had all of the things I needed. Near the hotel there are plenty of options to eat. I really liked Mu which has an awesome tasting menu for only $10.50€. Can't really beat that for a cheap meal. Across the street is Primark which everyone seems to have a bag of something there. It's the bargain shopping destination which had tons of people inside. Didn't take the train anywhere since everything was easily walkable. I would definitely stay at this location again if I were to come back! read more

During our recent trip, we stayed at this hotel and another hotel, which was located just a few blocks down the same street. Having experienced this hotel on the first leg of our trip, I wished we only stayed here. For starter, the room actually has sound proofing. At our 2nd hotel, I can hear all the commotions of Madrid. And let me tell you, Madrid is a city that NEVER sleeps, even on a weekday. So unless you are a heavy sleeper, you will appreciate the silence this hotel provides. Another feature I really liked about this hotel is that there are electrical outlets everywhere. This day and age where our cellphone is practically an extension of our body, we got to make sure our electronics are charged (especially when you're on a trip!). So I was delighted to see outlets located on both sides of the bed (and throughout other parts of the room). An added bonus was there were two additional USB outlets so if you forget your adapter, your phone won't be out of juice. Not to mention it's located right next to the bed so you can relax on the bed instead of awkwardly squatting next to a wall. Last but not least, this hotel is centrally located to everything. Madrid itself is walking friendly. But if you need to hop on the subway, it's close by. There are lots of food / restaurants located nearby. There are only two reasons why I didn't give this place a full 5-star. Unfortunately, the bed was lumpy. I'm no mattress snob but I can feel the hills and valley every time I laid down. (And I took my fair share of siestas!) Breakfast is the other reason. Yes, they had eggs and some meat. But I wish they had oatmeal. I know, I'm being picky. But when it's cold out, last thing I want is a cold breakfast (cereal). Nothing like a hot bowl of oatmeal to fill and warm you up. But other than that, I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a hotel in Madrid, this is it! Added bonus, located right across from Primark! read more

Excellent customer service! Clean rooms. Terrific value and location. I'm not easy pleased or impressed with most hotels' customer service (having traveled globally for 25 + years). Even five star hotels (i.e., Four Season, Ritz, etc.) have more regularly disappointed me than not. I never expect exceptional customer service, so when it does happen on rare occasion I am incredibly surprised and grateful. Hyatt Centric Gran Via in Madrid has been exceptional in their service. Their constant smiling, politeness, eagerness and proactiveness in their service is the example other hotels should follow. I've interacted with multiple people on their staff and every one has been patient and willing to help with my needs. And what really makes them special is that they anticipate your needs and have done everything to accommodate my requests. Too many times in the hotel industry you'll speak with a service rep and you're treated like they are bothered, anode or wish you weren't in front of them in the first place. However, the Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid has exceptional staff that are authentic and truly glad to have you staying at their hotel. Great positive energy! The rooms are well kept and clean. The 1 star is for the evening bartender who is the only redeeming quality of this hotel. He was knowledgeable, friendly and the only professional in here. The accommodations were standard. We had a king bed overlooking Gran Via. Now the things that are wrong: -Arrived around 9pm and there was no bellman to help with luggage. Got to the lobby and both front desk and attendants saw us with a stroller, a baby, 2 luggages and 2 carry ons- no one offered to get our luggage up for us. -As parents of a 19 month old traveling, we are in the ha it of checking/baby proofing hotel rooms. My husband found quite a huge pill on the side of the bed on the floor. -On NYE housekeeping only made the bed (didn't change sheets) and gave new towels. There are very noticeable crumbs on the hardwood floor from toddler snack which is why we requested housekeeping anyway. We left a pretty good tip and an apology for the mess (crumbs), got back and the room was noticeably wasn't cleaned. Also, after housekeeping, about half of the towels we get are stained. -Almost always no one knows what's going on at the front desk. Usually no one picks up the call there so we end up calling room service to get through to front desk. -Asked concierge if they can find out if Mercado San Anton was open on New Year's Eve as we can't find anything on the internet to know for sure and they told us yes. Walked there, it was closed. -Asked for a replacement duvet. After an hour and a call back, we got it. -The bathroom door handle keeps coming off. It's a metal bar. It was a safety hazard. -We found a bug in the bathroom. We decided to leave a day early tomorrow and not finish the already paid reservation. Too many things wrong with this hotel, it's leaving a very bad taste of Madrid in our mouths. read more

We checked in for only one night and had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff all around is exceptionally friendly and helpful, always good in making an enjoyable stay. They seemed to know that taking the extra step of being more personal, getting to know even a little about you, made for a much greater experience. The room itself was very comfortable, with probably one of the best beds I've ever slept on. After a long night of travel, it was easy and great to sink right in to for a few hours! The breakfast was a great meal with a fine selection. It was the only meal we had there, but I hope to experience more in the future. We will be back. read more

Full disclosure, I'm writing as someone who thrives on international travel. My sister and I loved our one-night stay. Our flight arrived on a weekday morning. We then showed up at the hotel and were super lucky to get an early check-in with my Hyatt Explorist benefits. The front desk was friendly and more than helpful. Each shift met all our needs. We had a chance to try the rooftop restaurant and it was a good choice. The rooms were clean and standardly "Hyatt" (good amenities, rain shower attachment in bathroom, roomy). Good international channels on TV. Beds were comfy. We had a late checkout and they were able to hold our luggage for us while we waited for our flight. Easy access from Madrid airport by Uber (which I recommend over taxis). To say the location is central is an understatement. The Gran Via and all those side streets have lots of clothing stores, little groceries, and restaurants for all budgets. Metro stop just steps away. The flagship El Corte Inglès department store is a five minute walk, for you shoppers out there. They offer breakfast but we chose street level options instead. Downstairs bathrooms were so clean. Nothing but compliments for the hotel team. I would definitely choose this hotel again. read more

My family and I had the best time, service and stay at Hyatt Centric in Guatemala City. The staff from the entrance to check in, bell boy, bar, rooftop and housekeepers are truly hospitable employees. There's one employee I would like to recognize and that's Reynaldo Toc. He genuinely has made our 9 day stay even more pleasurrable. Hyatt is lucky to have an employee like him. If I ever decide to come back, we are not looking anywhere else but to stay at Hyatt. Please take this from a person that travels a lot and the world and have stayed at 5 star/diamond resorts. This is hands down the best hotel in Guatemala City.
