When we converted our fireplace from wood to gas, I told the associate that it was important to me…read morethat the fireplace looks as real as possible. He told me my only choice was one that has a little tray that embers are placed in the tray in front(Looks so fake!) It was also important to have a fan, or that we could heat our home in a power outage. Obviously, the fan won't work in a power outage, and we haven't really had problems, except it's almost too much fan for our room. The lighting doesn't always work, and frankly I had more lighting in our previous Heat&Glo unit in another home.But power outages...this is not an easy conversion to use the batter pack, and today it was impossible. No matter what we did, we could not get it to work. We can't get to the motherboard without service, and this place does not provide service to us, although I do know people that say they come every year to service their fireplace. The last time I begged them for service was a couple years ago, and they cleaned the inside glass, and it has been streaked ever since. The remote is constant erroring out, and now it just won't communicate at all with the unit. The battery pack does not work in a power outage.(We changed batteries twice.) We paid $8000 for this unit, and it is so not worth it. The conversion was because I am allergic to trees, and can't be around burning wood. I don't think they care if you get what you want or not. This is nothing like our previous Heat&Glo Fireplace, which I loved, and the company would call me to remind me that service was due. We are pretty much stuck with this unit because we are retired, and not throwing money at a new unit. But please do yourself a favor, and shop somewhere else. I hate giving place bad reviews...I would rather be a happy customer. But the cost, the unit, the difficulty of use, and lack of service. I just can't.

They soon responded with 2 of them giving me a print of my fireplace brick construction and 3 possible causes. They showed true interest and their knowledge is right up there with the best in all business. I returned home and used their advice to correct the problem. It burns perfect now thanks to their help. With multiple techs coming into our house. Not super respectful of our time. They quoted that we needed all new duct work for thousands of dollars, which, fine, thank you for the info but we don't have 20K to get all new ducts. The problem: They took out our old filter in our furnace and threw it away. Forgot to let us know that, so we just were running it with no filter for 10+ days, which is pretty bad for the unit and our air quality throughout the home. It's also potentially a safety hazard to not have a filter...seems odd for a company that specializes in this to leave our unit worse off seeing as they came to "tune it up".

Hello. I just…read morereceived a phone call from you. She had the unpleasant task of telling me that: 1) The fireplace doors that were ordered do not fit. That the measurements perhaps were not correct. 2) That Wulf Bros. are no longer going to do custom fireplace door installations. Well, well. We have been PATIENTLY waiting since January (1/25/21 was when the order was placed with Stoll. We were told that it would be 3-4 weeks for delivery. It is now Mid May.). There have been 3 individuals in your fireplace section that we have had to work with who subsequently left. The last two had to play catch up from the previous person. Delay after delay, excuse after excuse and now Wulf Bros. are bailing on us? We are now left to start all over again. Being a business owner myself, this is clearly not the way to provide quality customer service! And good customer service is what drives customers through the doors. Needless to say we are very disappointed that after nearly 5 months this is what we are left with.
