More than 20 years in the Massage Therapy world as a therapist giving massage and I love the work and receiving the work more each year. I have gone to Massage and Healing Center 6 times and each time had a different therapist. What I marvel at specifically is the excellence of each individual therapist. I have sent friends here as gifts and they report back to me their therapists were also excellent which makes me so happy. The professionalism Is beyond reproach. The rooms are cozy and super clean which is important . Often the owner is at the front desk and so gracious and warm, it's a pleasure to just show up or stop by to book. My one suggestion is, if you're like me and like to take advantage of all the possible add ons or specialties, make sure your therapist is aware of the details booked. I like to add an extra half hour of foot reflexology to the end of my main massage no matter what I booked and one time somehow therapist didn't know. She did do the whole time I paid for and she was wonderful and it was just an epic massage, period. I just need the reflexology for my neuropathy from diabetes. I can only sing the praises of the full time I received but if you're like me and need something specific tell your therapist before you start. I showed up 10 minutes early for appointment to fill out paperwork. My massage therapist, Dawn, was very approachable, kind, and helpful. The clinic is very small, clean, and comfortable. Each of the massage therapists is certified to perform safe prenatal massages. They have an easy online booking system (which I appreciated). I showed up and everyone was masked (March 2022) which I was thankful for, being pregnant. They offered me a glass of water while I completed the waivers and were very friendly! (I was the first appointment of the day.) I went into the room and the therapist thoroughly explained how the whole massage would go and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted her to focus on. The table was extremely comfortable for a pregnant person :) special pillow/mat with holes to accommodate your growing body and the ability to lay on my stomach (which I've missed!) and there was no pressure anywhere on my body. Just laying on the table was worth the whole massage! Lol halfway through I rolled over and she replaced the belly mat with a large wedge, so I didn't have to lay flat. The only thing I'd suggest would be having white noise or meditation music and or candles/aroma therapy. It was very quiet, but that would've put it over the top with comfort. A little background on me: I am a former massage therapist and practiced Thai massage for about 5 years. I've been seeing Danielle for massage for a few years now. Her pressure was perfect (exactly what I expected considering how much I love her pressure in regular massage). I especially loved how she integrated her knowledge of muscles and the body into the various Thai stretches. Danielle's intuition with the body guides her to areas that need special attention and her love of the practice really comes through in her energy. Thai massage is very relaxing, but it's also very energizing. I left Specific Kneads feeling very loose and ready to take on the rest of my day. I was actually energized well into the evening, stayed up past my usual bedtime and added an extra 40 minutes to my normal workout because I felt so great. I will definitely be scheduling more Thai massage with Danielle. FYI - Thai is great for athletes or anyone who feels like they simply don't stretch enough on a regular basis. They had a deal going on so I decided to give it a try and I've been going back ever since! The Knead Therapeace team is new to this location but not to massage therapy! Each of the ladies I've met have multiple to several years of experience. Personally I've had sessions with Antonia and let me tell you, her hands are powerful! She provides a deep tissue massage and got several of my aches and pains straightened out. This first time I went to Knead Therapeace I felt I left the weight on the table when I got up after my session. I walked out much lighter and in better spirits than when I came in.
