A1 Laundry is hands down one of the best laundromats I've been to!…read more I recently stopped by A1 Laundry while getting settled into my new life here in York, and I'm extremely glad I found this place. When you have a lot of laundry to get done, having a clean, comfortable, and reliable laundromat makes a HUGE difference, and A1 Laundry definitely delivered. The facility was clean, organized, and had plenty of machines available. The washers and dryers worked great, and everything felt well-maintained. I really appreciated being able to get a lot of laundry done without feeling like I was waiting forever for machines. The overall atmosphere was great, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. Being able to knock out all of our laundry efficiently while getting settled into our new home made the whole day a lot easier. As someone who is new to the York area, I'm always looking for reliable local places that I can come back to, and A1 Laundry is definitely going on that list. I'll absolutely be returning. Great machines, clean facility, convenient location, and an overall great experience. If you're in York and need somewhere dependable to get your laundry done, I definitely recommend giving A1 Laundry a try! 5 stars all day!

They have wonderful customer service (truly, everyone here is very kind) and very fair prices. I won't risk trying a different place for alterations because because every time I've gone here, the work was wonderful, exactly what I asked for, and done in a timely manner. I've had linen pants, work pants, jeans, etc. all altered here and they've all been perfect. I wouldn't recommend going during the holiday season as they are typically swamped with alternations.

Somehow their tailor had a mixed message and completely deconstructed then reconstructed the dress in an odd way. The tag is now under the arm instead of the back and there is a seam running up the front. The dress no longer fits and is now worthless. It was brand new and still had the price tag. I took it back to show them and Mrs. Kim became combative insisting that the dress was like that when I brought it to them. I have photos before of the dress and it clearly was different. There is no question that it was mistakenly altered at their shop. She refused to listen and accused me of upsetting them. After 20 plus years of frequenting their shop, I'm shocked at her reaction. I've now also seen similar negative reviews. Extremely disappointing. I am now out $250 for the ruined dress and alterations which they refused to reimburse. I will never go there again.
