I completely understand this but to have one of the bigger name dry cleaners in the area all be closed on the same day in all locations was pretty frustrating. I called multiple companies and they were all closed. DeVono's was the only one that was open in South York. I drove all the way there and they were very happy to accept my business. They are not exactly on the way for me but I have no problem driving out-of-the-way now since they have no problem being open when I need them to be.

They have wonderful customer service (truly, everyone here is very kind) and very fair prices. I won't risk trying a different place for alterations because because every time I've gone here, the work was wonderful, exactly what I asked for, and done in a timely manner. I've had linen pants, work pants, jeans, etc. all altered here and they've all been perfect. I wouldn't recommend going during the holiday season as they are typically swamped with alternations.

I have gone to Kim's for over 20 years and had a good relationship with them. They recently…read morealtered my daughter's party dress. It just needed to be shortened in the hem and straps. Somehow their tailor had a mixed message and completely deconstructed then reconstructed the dress in an odd way. The tag is now under the arm instead of the back and there is a seam running up the front. The dress no longer fits and is now worthless. It was brand new and still had the price tag. I took it back to show them and Mrs. Kim became combative insisting that the dress was like that when I brought it to them. I have photos before of the dress and it clearly was different. There is no question that it was mistakenly altered at their shop. She refused to listen and accused me of upsetting them. After 20 plus years of frequenting their shop, I'm shocked at her reaction. I've now also seen similar negative reviews. Extremely disappointing. I am now out $250 for the ruined dress and alterations which they refused to reimburse. I will never go there again.

The third shirt, the new one, had a stain on the cuff which was not there when I brought it in. They claimed they couldn't have done it and were very rude about it "what do you think.. we eat in the back". Well fine. 250 work days a year. Clean shirt each day. 3 bucks a shirt. Plus suits. 1 STAR - DO NOT RECOMMEND!…read more Cornerstone Laundry is absolutely ridiculous with their pricing and payment system. They are misleading customers with different prices at different locations, making it seem like you can use the same Dexter Pay balance at both locations. YOU CANNOT! You have to pay separately at the Mount Rose Avenue location and the Spry location. There is no transferring your balance, no canceling a payment, and no refunds. Once they take your money, that's it. You're stuck with it. I drove all the way from Mount Rose Avenue to Spry thinking I could use the same payment balance, only to find out that wasn't possible. Then I had to drive all the way back to Mount Rose, wasting my time, gas, and money, just to find out all the machines were taken. PLEASE DO NOT USE DEXTER PAY WITHOUT KNOWING THIS! And please do not make Cornerstone Laundry your primary laundromat unless you want to deal with unnecessary headaches and potentially lose money. This company needs to do a much better job being transparent with customers. Taking people's money without offering transfers or refunds between their own locations is ridiculous. Absolutely terrible customer experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
