First of all, they have a huge selection, and the prices are lower than what you will find in big box stores during discounts. The store inside looks just like a regular warehouse - they specialize in floors and it seems that they mean business without jacking up prices for a "nicer" looking store. They will let you take samples home, so you could look at how it looks like in the intended space which was a tremendous thing for us, first time homeowners! They will walk you through everything and give genuine advice, regardless of whether this means you won't buy the more expansive stuff. The employees are courteous, and it seem like the owner, David, treats them well. That in turn shows in their care for the customers. What really amazed me though, is when I told David that the carpet I bought from him past week got stolen, he offered to sell me the same carpet again with no markup! When I asked the owner about why the communication from our sales rep was so inconsistent regarding the start date for our job, he didn't deny it - but he seemed genuinely annoyed that I would question them about their process, and acted like I was wasting his time. When he discovered their operations manager didn't inform me of the project start date per their usual process, he quickly dismissed it as an anomaly. The more specific my questions were, the more visibly irritated he became, then he just walked away. He didn't seem to care about making things right, he just wanted to move on. They will tell you one thing, deny it later, and push back at you to make it seem like the customer is the problem. Proceed with caution.

Do your homework before you hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting to do your remodel work. I hired…read moreChris to demo a shower and build an ADA compliant shower. While the finished product is beautiful it turns out he is a cheap skate. ADA laws are not in effect for residential buildings, and I understand that from the research I did. However His original quote stated specifically ADA compliant and all standard practice procedures I found were to include grab bars in an ADA compliant shower/bathroom for residential use. Chris refused to install the grab bars unless I paid an extra $615 on the back end of the originally quoted cost. This shower is for a 72 year old widow. How horrible that he would be not only deceptive, but also refuse safety and peace of mind to an elderly woman. In addition to the shower, he was also to install a custom steel front door to the residence as stated in the quote. His crew installed a fiberglass door which he claimed to be superior to steel. That is possibly accurate, but still not what I asked for. A week or so later he installed a flimsy box store steel door that I could probably bend with my bare hands. He told me that I would need a new quote to get the door that he said he would install originally. The new quote was for an additional $4500. Chris doesn't care about his work. He only wants to deceive you so he can squeeze you out of as much money as possible. By this point I was sick of working with him so I told him to paint it and get the job done. The third problem I had with Chris was his worst of all. During one phone call I had with him about the front door He stated "you are being too frustrating to me to have my crew install a different door." I understand that there will always be incompetent companies out there, but how can a decent business owner stay in business if he chooses to insult his customers? As a small business owner myself, my number one priority is making sure the customer is happy. Chris doesn't care what his customers think and his insults are proof of that. All that said, Angel and the rest of the workers were wonderful. If a problem arose they jumped to make it right without question. For instance during the demo they discovered some wood rot and had it replaced within a couple hours. At the end of one day they discovered that the drain was installed incorrectly and it was replaced first thing the next morning. Chris However only cares about collecting his payment. Your satisfaction will not be a concern to him. If you love to shell out money and don't care about getting what you paid for go ahead and hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting. Just understand that you will probably have to hire a second contractor after the fact to finish the job.
