Angel patiently showed me many samples, covered the pricing in detail, answered all my question regarding the difference in quality of the various products, came to my house several times to see how the installation was going and if there was anything I needed. Irving and Juan were so meticulous in all aspects of the job. I had tile and carpet, part of which was over my partial basement that added a couple of complications where one part of my addition wasn't even with the original house. Richard came out and they worked out a plan to transition the two levels. It came out perfectly. I kept my original baseboards. Irving and Juan removed them without damage, numbered each one and reinstalled them. They were wonderful I can't say enough good things about them. In the middle of the installation, I came down with covid. After a week, they were right back on the job. I was afraid they would have another job in the works and was grateful to see them ready to finish. All and all, they were just about like family by the time the job was complete. I told them I would miss them!! I had a dark tile I loved and carpet in bedrooms. The lighter flooring has brightened my house. I don't miss the tile or the carpet and will never have either again. I definitely made the right decision connecting with ABQ Flooring. And I'll be calling them for another project I'm looking at for my kitchen counter tops.

Robert Strahle has been great, very responsive, and very professional since contacting him for countertops. He had just what I was looking for in stock. He came out with his Laser equipment to measure and make the template which is the newest in technology. Plus, he had some good ideas in solving some awkward area details. The finished project turned out great! The installers got it all done smoothly in 1 day without any issues. My new "downsized" house had laminate countertops and I hated them. Now I have beautiful Quartz tops. I just LOVE them!!! All day long my heart was pounding like a woman in "crazy love" as I watched my new tops being installed! The anticipation of Quartz tops finally in my kitchen was so huge! LOL!!! Now I can't keep my hands off my countertops either as I keep looking at them and feeling how smooth and beautiful they are. So after almost 2 years with ugly existing laminate tops I now have the beautiful Quartz tops I wanted. It's soooo worth it! My neighbors are anxious to see them as well and I'm anxious to show them off. Thank you - thank you Team Strahle!!

In early June of this year I asked Villanueva Granite (of Placitas, NM) to come to my house to…read moreremove about 1.5" from the end of one of our granite countertops. I talked with Ricardo, the owner of the company to get an estimate of the cost of the work and a projected date for the work. I also spoke with Ms. Teresa Martinez, the Business Manager of the company, to arrange a date for the project. In less than a week the granite technicians, Juan and Mario came to our house to do the work. After completing measurements and using plastic sheeting to fully enclose the area where the work was done, the granite specialists cut the countertop and polished the surface of the cut. Then they fully cleaned the work area. Juan and Marion were highly competent and did their work in a very proficient manner. In addition, they were very pleasant. The Business Manager, Ms. Martinez was exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. She maintained contact with me before and after the granite cutting project. In doing business with various companies, it is very rare to encounter a person as proficient and caring as Ms. Martinez. If you need granite work at your home, I recommend Villanueva Granite enthusiastically and without any reservation. It's a great company!

My experience started pleasantly at first with one of the owners, Melissa, scheduling her husband…read moreRicardo to come measure our kitchen countertops. I made sure to have the kitchen sink available at the measurement appointment so we could explicitly discuss the placement of the holes for the kitchen faucet. We verbally discussed and agreed on a layout, which was later changed by Ricardo without my consent. Installation took place on 7/16/26. When the workers left, they informed me that the faucets couldn't be installed for 24 hours, so I covered the sink with paper and tape to keep my son safe. When my plumber arrived the next day (7/17/26) to install the faucet, I realized the holes were drilled in the wrong place. I emailed Villanueva at around 8:00 PM that night to notify them of the mistake. While cleaning the newly installed countertops later that evening, I snagged my shirt on one of the edges. I ran my hand underneath the slab to check the edge, only to discover my hand was covered in fiberglass shards. My husband quickly inspected the island slab and discovered raw fiberglass exposed all around it, especially under the overhang where my autistic, non-verbal son sits to do his activities. I was flabbergasted to find his three island chairs covered in fiberglass residue. It explained why my completely non-verbal child had avoided sitting there the past day--he couldn't verbalize the pain he felt from being exposed to fiberglass. By then it was almost 1:00 AM on 7/18/26. I immediately emailed Villanueva again regarding the fiberglass issue, which took immediate precedent as a major health and safety hazard. I expected a prompt response the next morning, but heard nothing. I had to call Melissa myself around 1:00 PM on Saturday. She answered and told me she was at the grocery store; she admitted she saw my emails but decided not to show them to Ricardo because he had a "headache" and she didn't want to stress him before her birthday celebration that evening. I was distraught that she prioritized a headache and a party over my family's physical health. I demanded Ricardo call me back. When he did, he claimed they would address it on 7/20. My husband took the phone and demanded they come remove the hazardous slab immediately and clean up the area. They came and pulled the slab on 7/18 and re-installed it on 7/20. On 7/18, I brought up the wrong hole placement. Ricardo acknowledged his mistake but assured me he would fix it to something I would be happy with. To smooth things over, he offered me free bathroom slabs from his inventory if I covered the labor. When I went to Villanueva's yard to select the material, there was nothing available that matched my two bathrooms, so I ended up purchasing retail slabs they had for sale instead. Our bathroom installation was scheduled for 9/17/26. On 9/11/26, I called Melissa to discuss our ongoing kitchen issues (the fiberglass, the wrong hole placement) and the fact that the promised free slabs weren't viable. The moment she answered, she immediately started yelling at me. Before I could even discuss a resolution or a discount, she hung up on me. She then called back and left a voicemail completely canceling our upcoming bathroom project, claiming she was tired of my "unprofessionalism." I have never been rude to their staff; it goes completely against my nature. To fix the kitchen faucet issue, Villanueva's idea of a resolution was a "patch job." They wanted to drill another hole in the correct spot but leave the wrongly drilled hole behind on my brand-new, premium quartzite slab, covering their mistake with a small filler patch. I declined. Who would accept a low-effort patch on a premium slab that costs nearly $5,000? The total contract for the work was $8,000. I have been incredibly patient, lenient, and trusting. Villanueva has refused to stand behind their workmanship or rectify their consecutive blunders. To make matters worse, my subsequent research with the New Mexico licensing department revealed that the business license number Villanueva has explicitly printed on my invoice and contract was canceled back in 2017. The state could not find any active business license for this company under their name, address, phone number, or email. As of today, no fix, resolution, or monetary compensation has been provided. Be extremely cautious and do your research before handing over thousands of hard-earned dollars to this company.
