I was worried about trying acupuncture because the only previous time I had tried it was when I was a kid, and I remember being terrified when the acupuncturist said he was going to hook the needle up to electricity. Chris put my worries to rest. I went for 4 acupuncture sessions to try and induce labor. I really thought it was going to work, but alas -- my daughter was too comfortable in there & wasn't ready to come out. I ended up being induced at 41 weeks anyway. Not for lack of trying!!!! I still think I would return for labor induction acupuncture in any future pregnancy/pregnancies. Why 4 stars instead of 5? 2 reasons: (1) I didn't go into labor (but keep in mind, everyone's body is different & every pregnancy is different). (2) Also during one treatment I started to feel lightheaded/dizzy because of the semi-reclined position (I was 40 weeks pregnant). I spoke up and asked for help, and I also knocked on the wall, but I guess no one could hear me through the door. I didn't want to yell because that seemed like an overreaction & it wasn't like I was dying, I was just uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have a bell or some kind of way to signal "I need assistance."

First of all, I had a knee injury from falling off a bike while abroad. I had sat and waited for…read moremonths and was receiving minimal care outside of an MRI from doctors. I was so frustrated. Like many of his patients, I decided to try acupuncture for inflammation and boy was I in for a surprise! He listened and was quick to communicate he is knowledgeable about knee injuries and started working on my knee right away. I walked in with crutches and I walked out without them!! Now mind you I had gotten clearance from my primary to walk right before but I still wasn't able to and I had some ptsd from falling. He didn't just address physical, he helped me with my emotional shift around walking. The deep bone massage is pain, you will need to take a tylonel or get some numbing cream from a cvs right before. But he explains exactly how he is creating blood flow to the area and tries different movements to pinpoint exactly where your issue is. No other doctor actually attempted to identify where the injury was on my leg and related bones/muscles. I had neen to three. I am going to him weekly because every appointment shows significant improvement, and his cost is very reasonable. He is truly an expert in his craft. No masking the injury with drugs or letting nature take its course. He actually directly addresses and fixes your problem. 100/10!
