I was recommended to try Airrosti in Deer Park, Tx by my PCP after taking muscle relaxers and…read morestrong pain medicine for a month which didn't help at all. Prior to the visit the pain in my neck was so bad when I woke up in the mornings (every single morning for a month) that it hurt a lot just to pick my head off the pillow and if I turned my head the pain was excruciating. Granted the pain subsided after moving it around a bit. During the visit the specialist asked some questions, asked me to turn my head different directions, etc. And then she went to work on my neck muscles pressing certain points, massaged other points. The whole event took about 45 minutes. Since that visit I wake up with no pain. It has given me a whole new perspective to addressing pain issues. Apparently, drugs are not the only option for pain.

Airrosti has helped me get back to 100% (literally.) After the first session, you can feel the…read moredifference. Dr. Vacek is located in the Moody Health Center and everyone is so friendly. The facilities are cleaned and you are able to use the restrooms to change into as well. Which, is recommended to wear loose-fitting close for the treatment. Dr. Vacek is very welcoming and you can tell she has a passion for what she does. She is very thorough and will answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Joseph is super laid back and chill. He shows walks through all the exercises with you and will do it again in case you forgot how to do it. You will see him after your session with Dr. Vacek. Overall, even though the treatment can be painful I managed to feel relaxed and comfortable during all of it. If you're a first-timer to Airrosti I would recommend this location.

I was looking for a legit acupuncturist in the clear lake area when I came across the Acuherb…read moreClinic website and a 'news' article talking about the clinic. The website was very official and comprehensive, and I was impressed that the doctor is trained in both eastern and western medicine. When I showed up to the "Clinic" I was immediately kind of skeezed out. I walked in and there was a woman cutting hair in the main area of the 'shop' where they sell herbs and medicine. just cutting hair randomly out in the open. There is a shampoo bowl and a pedicure chair there too. they also just have alot of old dusty stuff scattered all over the place, random stuff for sale like chinese pearl jewelry, etc, etc. There is also a real estate agent in the office. There is no receptionist. So the three times i've been i just kind of hang out in the main area until the hair cutter notices me and grabs the doc, or i go back to his office area and knock after no one attends to me in a few minutes. The doctor asks you a lot of questions and I believe he is an effective acupuncturist and I was pleased with the service he provided. But the environment that the acupuncture was provided in was kind of weird too. I have been treated in 3 separate areas, once in the doctors office, once in a separate, private treatment room, and then once in this room that just has a curtain in the middle and someone else was receiving some sort of treatment on the other side. They give you towels to wrap yourself in and sometimes they were stained and I didn't feel super comfortable using them. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I showed up for my appointment and the doctor wasn't there. I waited as usual in the weird main area for about 15 minutes, and eventually knocked on the docs office door and apparently he left because he thought our appointment was at 10am. (It wasn't because I have a standing appointment at that time and wouldn't double book). If this clinic made a few changes i'd consider going back but i wasn't comfortable enough to continue treatment there.

Dr. Wang spent a bit of time reviewing my new patient forms and then went to work with the needles and cups. I laid on my stomach for an uncomfortable hour or so and walked out still in quite a bit of pain. However, I was doing much better later in the week, so much so that I was able to attend the Houston Food Fest on Saturday and participate in a very active weekend. My next appointment is this afternoon and now we get to focus on the little aches and pains and my lingering chest congestion from a cold I caught weeks ago!! Here's to improving health!!
