Our office catered from this place last Thursday I was expecting Mexican cuisine based on their Yelp profile, but it turns out they were serving Italian that day instead. I thought the food was pretty decent and had no complaints. The squash and zucchini was grilled but not dry. read more

TrukQuito - Habanero Chicken..ShrimpQuito... And Phillyquito - Caterers Near Me - Pasadena, California

Pretty, pretty tasty. While we were heading over to Angel City Brewery, suddenly I got a painful craving for Mexican food. It's been a while since I've had Mexican food, so when I saw that the TrukQuito-Gourmet Food Truck was at the Brewery, I was very excited. I decided to get the Tomatillo Quito, their more traditional take on the taquito with tomatillo cream, cilantro and cheddar. It turned out to be very tasty, and came with a generous portion of rice pilaf (which went perfectly with the tomatillo cream). If you love taquitos, this truck is definitely one you have to try! read more

Just a a word about TrukQuito....FANTASTIC! Wes and his team recently catered my birthday party for 58 people. The team arrived on time with all of the necessary equipment. The two gentleman serving the food had great personalities. The food was delicious! The menu consisted of beef tacos, beans & rice and shrimp enchiladas. My guests couldn't stop raving about the food! The team cleaned up and packaged the remaining food. (Very little left) Thank you Wes for the great meal and such outstanding customer service! I will definitely use you again! read more

If I could give this company 100 stars I would! I used them for my baby shower and they exceeded all expectations. I was sad to find out they closed the actual food truck but very happy once I learned they were still able to cater events. Although the name may lead you to think they only specialize in Mexican food, that is NOT the case! For my shower my personalized menu consisted of chicken alfredo, crab wontons, shrimp skrewers and tossed salad. The food was beyond amazing! People were grabbing second and third servings. Even my grandmothers, who typically do not eat food cooked by anyone other than themselves, enjoyed it and went back for more! Wes and Veronica are very professional and will do whatever it takes to make their customers happy. They are very friendly people which is always nice when you are stressed from planning. I highly recommended you use Truquito for ANY catering needs you may have. read more

TrukQuito is the absolute best!!! AMAZING!!! Last Night they catered an event for WeWork Los Angeles, they arrived on time were neat and professional and offered a wide array of dishes and even had many different vegan options for me as well, everything was delicious well organized and the owners were understanding of my diet, patient and friendly. read more

TrukQuito is definitely my current LA food truck addiction! I've had their Shrimp Quitos (shrimp, siracha honey, greens, chopped walnut) and Slaw Quitos (Marinated chicken, slaw, feta, siracha). They are both really tasty with the shrimp being my favorite. The couple running the truck are also very friendly which is a plus in my book.. so give them a try next time you see their truck! read more

Thank you again Veronica and Wes!!!! read more

Five stars for service and for quality.... If I could give their food more than 5 stars I would! I've tried their food a number of times and decided to have them cater my graduation party. As always the food was delicious. Chef Wes takes pride in his food and recipes. Everyone at my party was loving TrukQuitos food especially the shrimp and beef enchiladas.... THEY ARE A MUST TRY! Customer service was great and they were very professional which is huge for me. I highly recommend TrukQuito for any kind of event you are planning. Thanks TrukQuito for making me and all my guest so happy with your amazing food ! :) read more

It's disappointing. French fries ok except the cheddar cheese melt was way too oily - poor quality cheese - so it kept pooling at the bottom and sloshing around even after cold - slightly gross. My girlfriend had the shrimp taco and that was completely uninspired - you'd expect WAY better from a food truck. The problem was the tiny, tiny minuscule shrimp was tasteless and seemed as if it came out of a can from Costco. And the sad tortilla that accompanied it was lukewarm and had no grill marks or any visible toasting. Just a flat, semi-cold tortilla wrapped around some little bottom feeders. So in all, $13 (including a drink) is WAY too much for sloppily made "hey we're a food truck too" food. It makes us sad. The only bright side is the staff - really courteous and lively... But I can't eat them... legally... read more

Wes and his team just catered another event for us, it was better than ever. While the service is outstanding, the food is truly exceptional. Everything is of the highest quality, great seasoning and plenty to eat. They really go above and beyond in their execution and the small details, which makes all the difference. A++ THANKS AGAIN! read more

We had Trukquito cater our holiday luncheon yesterday and their service and the food was absolutely amazing. We had their mango salmon, cheese and chicken enchiladas, shrimp skewers, rice, beans, and salad. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were delicious. My staff were all raving about how it had been the best holiday lunch yet. My team works really hard and deserve to feel special. TrukQuito helped make that happen. It was my first time using them, but it won't be our last! read more

TrukQuito - Shrimp Enchiladas were out of bounds!!! - Caterers Near Me - Pasadena, California

This review is based solely on customer service, although I cant wait to track this truck down and try the shrimpquitos one day soon!: Anyway, I was looking around trying to get a quote on taco catering for my wedding and came across Wes and his Trukquito. By speaking to him, I could tell hes a very warm and accommodating business man. He took the time to answer my millions of questions, and never once had a tinge of irritation in his voice (something I am used to, because I am VERY detail oriented and VERY particular.... idiosyncrasies that annoy many lol ). He tweaked the menu to fit my budget, while still giving me phenomenal options. In the end, we decided to go with someone else, just because they are a personal favorite of my fiance, but I will definitely remember the professionalism and courtesy of Wes, and absolutely remember them for my next event! I highly recommend Trukquito just based on their reasonable price point and excellent customer service alone, which, sadly, is hard to come by these days. read more

Delicious! If you haven't tried something different lately. This would be your first choice to try. Hands down! The best freshly made "Trukquito" taquitos. Come try what everyone is talking about. The Slawquito, the Shrimpquito, the Street Quito, and more. I am definitely coming back to haunt down this Trukquito. Taquitos are the Bomb! read more

Wes and Veronica catered for my daughters graduation party, and the food was AMAZING! They showed up early and set everything up for us. Everyone kept saying how GOOD the food was. TrukQuito catered my daughters 21st birthday party. Before this event they gave us several yummy food options to pick from. The day of the party they were promptly on time, set up quickly, and served party goers with deliciously marinated meat and gourmet sauces. Their sauce is BOSS! Service was with a smile and my guests were full and happy. I would use them again and highly recommend them catering your next event. read more

I called TrukQuito about catering a grand opening for the practice I manage. Wes was nothing but curteous, knowledgeable and easy to work with from the beginning. We arranged all the details through email which was a huge time saver for me. Wes responded quickly to every email I sent. TrukQutio showed up on time the day of our event, brought everything they needed, were very professional and most importantly, people were crazy over the food they provided for us. At the end of the day, Wes and his crew cleaned completely and packaged the few left overs we had for us to enjoy the next day. I will not hesitate to use them again should the need arise. read more

This was quite good. Better than I expected. Tried the Shrimp-quito, Shrimp tacos and the trukquito fries (w/o tomatoes). It was all delicious and more filling than expected. About $8-$9 for 3-4 quitos or tacos over rice. I think it's worth it. Great taste and filling. read more

I called them one day before a huge Boxing match, and needed them to cater for 100 people at my bosses home, with only 24 hour notice, and they were the BEST! Reeeally great flavorful and hardy shrimp taquitos. The girl taking orders is really friendly and knowledgable, and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I think it's a LITTLE pricey at $9 for 3 shrimp taquitos over rice (plus a buck at least for tip)... Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that insane food truck bargain. That said this is still a great lunch or late night option, and will definitely leave you satiated. read more

I am FINALLY getting around to writing this review lol! So, we were going to go with another taco company, who turned out to be WAY more expensive after they reeled us in. Or they THOUGHT they had us reeled in. Long story short, we ended up dumping them and going back to TrukQuito. We set up a tasting and met Wes and his lovely wife Veronica...just lovely people, I cant stress that enough. They SHINE! Well, I brought all four of my children along to the tasting because I couldn't find a babysitter, and Wes and Vero really went out of their way to treat my kids like family. I was sold even before I tried the food. We got around to the tasting, and my husband and I were BLOWN AWAY. We signed the catering contract immediately, and the rest is history. They showed up to my wedding reception on time and ready to rock. The set up was FAST and efficient, and the food was AMAZING. Everything was fresh and delicious, im so sad there are no pictures to show just how amazing it was-although, I don't even think pictures could do any justice. The line was moving quickly, and there was enough food for everyone to get fed and full. The crew that came with Wes and Vero were just as nice and lovely, just an all around positive vibe from all of them. I will absolutely use their services again for my next big event, and I am STILL getting compliments on the food from my wedding, almost 2 months later! Thanks again for everything Wes, Vero and the TrukQuito crew, you guys are amazing! Many blessings for the new year :) read more

Seriously, if you've never tried a Shrimpquito and your a big shrimp taco eater like myself. You definitely have to give TrukQuito a try. I highly recommend and I will be trying them again in the near future read more

Just finished eating from here, came to the Fooda popup. I had the ancho glazed Salmon and 2 sides of refried beans. My co-worker had the salmon and enchiladas with rice and beans. I think this is the best thing I've had from Fooda thus far. The salmon with the mango salsa is to die for, I never tried that combination but it was excellent and out of this world. I hope they come back to the Popup again because I WILL go back for more. Amazing!!! read more

I ordered from trukquito this past weekend for my mother's birthday, and I was happily surprised with how fresh and good the food was. I ordered the taco bar special and 50 shrimp enchiladas. The enchiladas were wiped out with in minutes, I wish I had ordered 100! The meat for the tacos was very juicy and clean, no chewy or fat pieces. I have called multiple taco caterings and although trukquito was a little more expensive, the food quality was the best I have experienced from past caterings. It was a pleasure dealing with Wes and his team and I'm looking forward to ordering again for my daughter's birthday in December. read more

Very, very pleased with their food and customer service! We hired them for our daughter's quinceanera on 11/21/15 and from the moment I inquired about their services I was confident they would be a great fit for our event. Very personable and quick with their replies to my emails. They arrived to the venue on time and needed no direction from us. Everything was set up beautifully and the food was delicious! We had cheese enchiladas and chicken enchiladas with beans and rice along with chips and homemade salsa on the guest tables. They even set up a very nice salsa bar with their homemade salsas along with a nice platter of roasted jalapenos, lemons, limes, and cilantro. Our guests were raving about the food and I saw quite a few go back for seconds. We highly recommend having them cater your next event! read more
