They really went all out this time! I have been hiring Distinctive Catering for decades now because I know that I can count on them to come through every single time! First of all, they arrived early, which made me feel relaxed as the host. They were a bunch of busy bees, dressed in their freshly pressed uniforms and looking every bit the professional chefs and serve staff, setting up the Tri-Tip carving station & Italian pasta bar, and creating an atmosphere of abundance and delicious beauty! Each station looked and smelled amazing! My guests didn't even wait until our emcee announced that the food was ready! lol They just followed the mouthwatering aromas emanating from the stations! In the Italian pasta bar, each guest's plate was made to order by their creative chefs and satisfied each one's preferred taste combination, whether it be chicken breast, Italian sausage, shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, fresh basil, sun-dried tomatoes, a myriad of other fresh veggies, garlic, Parmesan cheese and delectable sauces, like pesto, marinara, vodka and Alfredo! The tri-tip carving station was manned by another set of smiling chefs including their famous Caesar salad with Parmesan cheese, delicious garlic bread and extra large platters of fresh, seasonal fruit! They set up refreshing lemonade and iced tea as well and shared their ice with the bartenders too! Well-prepared and kind this band of talented chefs, they were! Silver Spoons made everything happen, put the numerous gorgeous bouquets that people brought away in the perfect vases, which Scott or his team somehow found on their own without bothering me. They made everything look delicious despite the unbelievable heat, and then, on top of everything else - everything WAS delicious and delightful. The food was fantastic. And Scott Tessler and his team all talked to our guests in such a nice way. It was fun to have them there. We have used Silver Spoons intermittently over the years - for our daughter's wedding in Malibu in 2015, and now again, to introduce her baby to our friends and family. I'm beginning to think we should do this more often - the results from Scott and Silver Spoons are outstanding. After our event was over, exhausted, we came back to our kitchen, and discovered scads of perfectly wrapped leftovers - Steve and I simultaneously went hunting for that incredible mustard - oh, no, did they leave us some? Yes! You left us a significant amount, nicely wrapped up. And you cleaned up the kitchen beautifully! Even mopped! Everything was left in perfect order. I've been enjoying all the leftovers now for a few days. We have already given Silver Spoons' contact information to one guest at the party, who was very impressed with its work. Many of our guests were already familiar with Silver Spoons from their experiences at University Synagogue (now part of Wilshire Boulevard Temple). The food, the presentation, interaction with guests, following of dietary/allergy restrictions - all perfect. We had magnificent vegetables for the vegans, gluten-free dishes of all kinds that were superb, regular dishes that were wonderful - the food was great. And the service is exceptional. Our baby grandson had a grand debut in the Millers' back yard, and Silver Spoons Catering was a big part of that. Silver Spoons did a wonderful job, and we thank them for it.

The agua frescas in watermelon and cucumber lime were so refreshing and such a hit. They came in huge jugs and guests kept going back for more. The chicken tacos were amazing -- juicy, flavorful, and not a single weird piece in the meat. The guac was next level and the carne asada was just as good. The fries were a total hit with the kids and honestly felt bottomless. Guests even got creative and made nachos using the tortilla chips and cheese they brought. Every single person left full and happy. The team was kind, professional, and so easy to work with. They set up with care and made sure everything ran smoothly. The add-ons took the experience to the next level and I truly cannot imagine hiring any other taco caterer from now on. As long as Chingon Tacos LA is in business, I'm sticking with them!
