Rosie is the hygienist I've been seeing and I've only ever once in my life have had as clean teeth as I have after my cleanings with her. The other time was abroad when I requested a deluxe cleaning. Dr. Trujillo is a fantastic and holistic dentist as is the rest of her team. They actually look at the whole picture of what's going on in your life too make sure you're getting good care. Rarely have I sat waiting for a long time for the doctor to come by or hygienists to coordinate with each other. They seem to be pretty efficient and still warm/kind. Their services are a little pricey (not sure if this is a standard cost that's changed in recent years) but they're very clear and up front about any and all costs. So be sure to check with insurance and their front desk and ask if anything is confusing. Plus we all know pricing is bc our healthcare system is busted, not bc of this practitioner ofc. Friendly staff and modern equipment. Plus the view any time they're not actually working on you is really nice! Dedicated parking and convenient location. However, I decided…read moreto go with dentures, and my Dentist would not perform the necessary extractions and fitting. Having reached the 3/4 century mark I felt that my wishes should trump my dentist. Anyway, I contacted Dr. Cunningham's practice and it was one of the better medical decisions I have made in a while. Dr. Cunningham and her staff were extremely professional and informative. Dr. Cunningham discussed my care plan with me, explained the entire process, and when I was satisfied, she took me step-by-step through the process of extraction and fitting for my new upper dentures. Followup for care during the healing process was amazing because it was so intense and well planned. My fitting follow-ups were on a weekly basis until she was able to get my denture fitted precisely so they were as comfortable as possible. Dr. Cunningham's staff is an amazing reflection of the professionalism of this practice. They are all friendly, and very pleasant in all their dealings with me. I highly recommend Dr. Cunningham and her practice and hope that everyone has the same positive experience as I have had.

I was always pleased with the care I received at Dr. Camunez's office and didn't think there was room for improvement. Wow, I now believe differently after my recent semi-annual cleaning! Then to wrap up my session Dr. Cunningham took the time to review a current concern and offer a viable solution.

TLDR version: this dentist will try to get as much money…read morefrom you as possible, and will also make you feel bad about your teeth, and cry. Worst dentist experience of my life. Run. Find someone else. Longer version with details: I went here as a new patient knowing that I needed some help with my teeth grinding and that I would need a cavity or two filled. The dental hygienist was very pleasant, but I felt like she was clearly looking for things to ring me up for. It took sooooo long (I was there a total of two hours -- and remember, this was for a preliminary cleaning, X-rays, etc; I didn't have any work done!). The hygienist pressured me to get a flouride bath (not covered by insurance), which she assigned a student to do, and then the hygienist left the room. AFTER this student took the trays out of my mouth, she told me that I couldn't eat or drink for 30 minutes after. I had been in this office for almost two hours, it was lunch time, and I was parched and hungry. I was like, "oh man, that would have been good to know *before* so I could have gotten a sip of water, because I've had tools in my mouth for almost two hours and I'm extremely thirsty." I was calm, but firm. She ignored me. Things got worse when Dr. Burris came in. She was extremely unpleasant (I reached out my hand and she clearly did not want to shake it). She was gruff and grumpy. Not personable, no bedside manners... no manners at all. She complained about Las Cruces. She tried to pressure me into buying a TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR mouth guard for my grinding, and repeatedly tried to push some vague "therapy" that she offers to help stop grinding. She told me that my teeth were crooked and that nothing that could be done about it, and that it would only get worse. (I believe she was trying to make me feel so bad about myself that I would throw a ton of money -- which I don't have-- at any possible solutions she was offering.) When the hygienist presented me with their "dental care plan" or whatever it's called that they had printed up for me, it included unnecessary procedures such as redundant X-rays and an estimated THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS of work. And this is *with* insurance factored in. When I saw their plan, I started to cry -- which I have never done in my entire adult life of regularly going to the dentist. The staff was cold and awkward. They offered multiple times to "work with me" by allowing me to get on their financing plan. The staff even tried to get me to pay for future procedures *in advance!* Um, NO. I am so glad that I requested my X-rays from this dentist's office, and made a new appointment for myself at a different, more ethical, less high-pressure dentist's office, WHICH I LOVE AND WILL FOREVER BE A REGULAR PATIENT OF. Since I switched, I have had all required procedures done at my new dentist's office and have paid only several hundred dollars (not the thousands Burris tried to charge me). My new dentist fixed the "crookedness" in my teeth (which Burris had made me feel so bad about and told me "nothing could be done about") by simply polishing it down to make both teeth even -- this was such a simple and short procedure that she did not charge me. My new dentist recommended a range of mouth guards and did not pressure me to choose the most expensive. Instead of the two thousand dollar guard (lol what) Burris tried to pressure me to buy, I am using a $400 custom retainer / mouth guard that is comfortable and works perfectly.

When you first enter the offices of Dr. Bridget Burris, you may well believe "you have arrived."…read more Waiting my turn, I felt very "cared for," that the staff already had decided I was more than a client or patient, that I was welcomed as a dear friend. Of course, the dental procedures were of utmost importance, Including veneers, and crowns. I have since enjoyed a new sense of dental health, and the visual, cosmetic effect is quite an ego boost. How does one put a value on that? Ron H

I have been a patient at Warren and Law Dentistry in Las Cruces for over three years. I chose this…read moreoffice specifically because Dr. Moberly was recommended for patients with dental anxiety. As a combat veteran and retired law enforcement officer with PTSD and dental anxiety, that mattered to me. To be fair, the front office staff has always been great, and Dr. Moberly herself has been excellent when I've been able to see her. Unfortunately, the hygienists have been consistently poor, and that has completely undermined my experience at this practice. My first hygienist regularly forgot basic parts of my care, including administering nitrous oxide when it was clearly indicated. I switched to another hygienist (the one my wife sees), hoping for improvement, but the experience was worse. She has been rude, dismissive, and at times condescending. More concerning, she does not appear to follow through on instructions from the dentist, including properly charting notes during exams. Over my last three visits, I have not seen Dr. Moberly at all. Each time, I was told I "didn't need an exam," only a cleaning. In December, I was scheduled for an exam, but Dr. Moberly was not even in the office, which raises serious questions about scheduling practices. Dr. Law saw me instead and clearly stated that one of my fillings was failing and that I needed a crown, which Dr. Moberly would address at my next visit. At my most recent appointment, I specifically asked to see Dr. Moberly regarding that crown. The hygienist again told me I didn't need an exam and then claimed there were no notes in my chart about the issue--despite the fact that she herself was charting during Dr. Law's exam when that diagnosis was made. During that same visit, she was unable to pass a floss threader between my teeth and simply skipped it altogether. Immediately afterward, she proceeded to lecture me on proper dental hygiene at home. That kind of contradiction is frustrating and undermines any credibility in the care being provided. This is unacceptable. Either documentation is not being done correctly, or it is being ignored. Either way, that is not something a patient should have to worry about. For patients like me, consistency, communication, and trust are critical. Right now, this office is falling short where it matters most. Lastly, I want to address something that reflects the overall culture of the practice. There is a sign on the wall that says "We cater to cowards." That is not only unprofessional--it is degrading. Patients who walk through those doors despite fear are not cowards--they are doing something incredibly difficult, and that takes courage. I came here because I believed this was a practice that understood patients like me. At this point, I no longer feel that is the case.

From start to finish, Dr. Law and his staff took very good care of me and my needs dealing with…read moredegraded fillings. Everyone was friendly and very professional. I was shocked at how eased I felt at a dental office. Thank you all and God bless you.

My initial interaction with Painted Skies involved a dental technician who, after politely being…read moreinformed of one of my patient concerns, told me I did not need to inform her that I had an issue with being leaned too far back in the chair. Further, in regard to that initial appointment, I had informed the office manager that I had another appointment scheduled elsewhere within a few minutes of the time my proposed initial appointment with Painted Dunes was estimated to have ended. I was assured by the office manager that this would not be an issue. However, upon leaving the dental chair, I spent a significant amount of time sitting in the lobby, waiting to check out. Ultimately, I had to politely ask the office manager to expedite my check-out since I was about to be late for my next appointment. I wrote a review on Yelp in regard to this first experience, but later deleted it after a week or so since I thought the issues would have been addressed, and I thought leaving the review might be counterproductive. However, removing the initial review appears to have been a mistake since, a few days ago, I had yet another issue with one of the same staff members. This time, I called to reschedule a December appointment with Painted Skies since I alternate between a periodontist and the general dentist. The Painted Skies office manager then proceeded to imply that I was lying by saying, " If that's true (that you see a periodontist), we can go ahead and cancel this appointment and schedule you for March." I honestly was so taken aback by this comment that I had to think about my response. The only thing I can figure is that since I had withdrawn my last review, she took the opportunity to infer that I had lied about my past experiences with the Painted Skies staff (including herself)?and, therefore, I could be accused of lying about seeing a periodontist. I came to Painted Skies because I considered the practice to be similar in many respects to that of Dr. Bridget Burris who retired several years ago and who was my dentist for many years. These incidents With the Ortiz's staff are all very unfortunate because my interactions with the dentist herself were positive and she exhibited a high degree of professionalism not to mention her exemplary skills as a dentist. This type of disrespect by her staff, though was absolutely uncalled for, and I exhibited no such behavior towards any staff member at Painted Skies which would warrant this kind of treatment. Unfortunately, I will be changing dentists because I would only expect an inhospitable reception were I to continue as a customer with this practice.
