Last year we filed separately as well and it cost $500 less! Nothing complex about the taxes either..standard interest mortage..etc. Only difference from last year to this year were a set of stock options that were cashed that were captured in our W2s...so hardly warrants the fee tripling! Shame on me for not asking the fees up front, but he was recommended by a good friend, so didn't think I had to worry about it. That will be the last time I don't do my own homework and the last time I use this company to do my taxes.

My taxes went sideways at no ones fault but my own. Feeling the pressure from the IRS I was considering to accept defeat. I looked up tax help on Google and instantly started getting flooded with adds all over my social media and tons of junk mail from tax relief businesses. All of these were from far out of the area. Everything would be conducted online and by E-mail with no face to face meetings. I found out about Toph Sheldon in Cincinnati. I gave him a call and set-up an appointment for a face to face meeting. It's been a long process ( about a year now). Once I retained his services the threat letters from the IRS stopped and definitely lowered my stress level. I had monthly phone calls and occasional face to face meetings with frequent updates throughout the whole process and just recently came to a settlement with the IRS. Toph was able to get me a $6700.00 settlement. The IRS was originally demanding $82,00.00. It feels like the weight of the world was lifted from me. With the upfront fees and the settlement amount, toph has saved me $$70,000.00. All of my taxes are up to date and in order now. I will continue to use him for my annual tax returns. I signed up with them quite a while ago and didn't give them much mind until I was in touch with Ryan Bianchi. He made a few suggestions on trading strategies to which I was able to implement them in my portfolio with confidence. If I felt unsure or needed an explanation about anything, all I had to do was put in a call, and if he wasn't available someone else would at least offer to help me. I know, I can be a pain sometimes and it can take several attempts for me to finally "get it" since my motorcycle accident a few years ago, but Ryan has stood by me and been most pleasant and understanding of my personal situations well as "life" issues and allowed me to be in control of what I thought were my best options. I can not tell you anything about the interest rate they pay on savings accounts or CD's or many of their other services. My dad has a checking and savings account with U.S. Bank. What I can tell you is about the atmosphere and the service at this nice little Bank in Ft. Thomas. When my dad enters the branch he receives a warm and friendly greeting of "hello Mr. Meier." There is a Christmas tree in the lobby and my dad is waited on within a minute or so. His last transaction included both putting in money and getting a certified check for a family gift. It was completed quickly and concluded with "happy holidays." On a table in the lobby there is always a bowl of hard candy that I can not resist. This time of the year they have holiday trivia questions. Did you know that the song "Sleigh Ride" was written as a Thanksgiving song. I suggest that you check out this branch for friendly financial and banking services.

I told him I would be contacting main office about his extreme behavior, he laughed, said go ahead, they wont do anything anyhow. This man needs to be fired or needs major anger management help. After being a lifelong customer (with the majority being with this agency), I have NEVER experienced this extreme incompetency and horrid behavior from agents. Do not go here unless you like to be verbally abused!!! The same day we received a letter stating we were going to be dropped by State Farm because of an insurance payout from our house being robbed in '2016 and then have roof damage from a really bad hail storm in '2020. WTF???!!! I thought that was what insurance was for?! Like a good neighbor State Farm is NOT ON YOUR SIDE!!! State Farm after 30 years and no problems was great. 2 problems in 5 years and they drop you. Not what my family and I expected in a good insurance company. Very disappointed and hurt. Life goes on I know but if this is the way they do business, I hope everyone knows.
