Last year we filed separately as well and it cost $500 less! Nothing complex about the taxes either..standard interest mortage..etc. Only difference from last year to this year were a set of stock options that were cashed that were captured in our W2s...so hardly warrants the fee tripling! Shame on me for not asking the fees up front, but he was recommended by a good friend, so didn't think I had to worry about it. That will be the last time I don't do my own homework and the last time I use this company to do my taxes.

Scott is the real deal…read more This was my first time ever using an actual CPA instead of doing my taxes myself, and honestly I was expecting it to be painful. It wasn't. Scott was amazing through the entire process -- patient with my questions, quick to respond, and he handled everything without making it feel like a hassle. The best part: I went in expecting to owe, and he got me a refund instead. I didn't think that was possible this year. He found things I would have missed on my own, explained everything in plain English, and never once made me feel out of my depth. If you're on the fence about hiring a CPA -- or you've been doing it yourself for years like I was -- just do it. Scott's your guy.

Some things they were able to fix retroactively; others were no longer possible, but they did everything they could in my case. Their services are very reasonable. Due to the highly increased demand, it takes slightly longer now to get a response, but I have never had issues. They created very simple yet robust tax solutions for my needs, legally lowering my liability and exposure. I could not be happier. Many times they add personal touches to their interactions, and they are much appreciated. I definitely highly recommend them.
