Keep an eye out for one of the guys that works there named Joe. He really knows his stuff. When I mentioned a friends dining room that was painted a shiny lacquer remembered the actual color. The people who are painting my cabinets will come in to the shop and work with him to get the right Sheen and equipment. I feel very confident working with Benjamin Moore paint. In Wayne. I know that the parking is not as ideal as some of the other paint stores in the area but it's worth it. Give Benjamin Moore a shot you will be happy. When she brought it home, I saw the receipt and immediately noticed that it was sold at a price the was extraordinarily high. Like, REALLY high - even for Ben Moore. I went to verify my concern about what price point my mom was sold and a comparable item at HoPo was 1/4 the price. The price was especially high because she explained its use; to stain the wood legs on a new foot stool. Hardly a project that required a high end custom stain. When I went to the store the salesman was there and was open to discussing what happened for my mom that lead my mom to believe this high price was what was truly needed for her tiny project. The manager was present during the entire conversation with the employee and at one point jumped in and was immediately extremely assertive; exactly the opposite of the sales person. The manager was consistently denying any responsibility...even after his employee acknowledge he understood how it may have been confusing to my mom and apologized to me. All in front of the manager. Not the manager; he behaved in extreme opposition to the established sales philosophy of 'The customer is always right.' I am sure the store will object to my review for many reasons that are likely inaccurate...but if they do you will be best served to analyze if they are worthy of your business by looking at whatever retort they made but in the context of whether their rebuttal is still valid if the original sale was made as it should have been and supported by the employee as improper. There is no valid objection that could warrant this manager's behavior once the original error is consider as the cause...and all the negative treatment by the manager solely the effect which warrants this type of review. There are other options that are of equal quality and I would suggest looking into those options; I strongly advise to not shop at this particular Ben Moore if that is still your manufacturing preference. Other Ben Moore stores are also available for consideration. I hope this is useful to other shoppers.

To our surprise, Austin-Briggs in New Britain, Pa. popped up. We never knew they were there! I called - polite, friendly response by phone. We drove over - welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable customer service with no shortage of products. The guys behind the counter were so nice and really knew there stuff. This is our new go-to paint store. One caution: their roadside sign is small and you can miss it easily. They are directly across the road from Giant. Keep an eye out or you'll miss them. And Austin-Briggs should not be missed!

During COVID times, they enforce the mask wearing, social distancing, etc. I'm giving 4 stars only because a recent custom paint order took remarkably long time to mix (while I waited as the only customer in the store), then the staff person handed it to me in a box, along with a can of the same custom color that had been purchased previously but that had been inadvertently degraded through freezing. I thought they might have disposed of the spoiled paint I had brought in - I'd think they'd be in a better position to handle the processing of that than the customer. But more concerning was that the paint can for the new batch was very noticeably dented (which of course I couldn't see while it was in the box), and upon opening it, I found it was slightly over-filled. Color mix seemed fine, but the casualness about the condition of the can surprised me.

I wanted to avoid refinishing the entire set which included a bench and 4 chairs. The wonderful woman who works there asked me to bring the leaf to determine the type of wood and to better match the color. When I returned with the leaf, she applied three options (two which I had chosen and thought came close to the rest of the dinette set and one she mixed in case the ones I chose were off). She labeled each one very professionally. When I got home, I was excited to see the option she mixed was the perfect match! I am so glad I went there and received such personal/great advise. She went above and beyond....Thanks to her and the time she took to assist, I am proud of my first time project!!!

There is a decent selection, and helpful people to get you in/out fast. The reason why I logged in to yelp to write this review is today I am putting together some paperwork on a remodeling job I was working on and found that I lost a receipt of items I bought here at Paul's 3 months earlier. I called the store and asked if there was a way to find out what I bought there using the info from my credit card statement. The Paul's Hardware employee was able to quickly find the transaction, tell me what I purchased, and faxed me a copy of the receipt. All of this took five minutes from the time I found out I lost the receipt, to when I received the fax of my receipt. AMAZING SERVICE!! Try this at a large home center, I would have been on hold for at least a half hour just to be told that they can't help me. Thank You Paul's Hardware
