He got the job done in a timely manner and I'm satisfied with the results so I suppose that's ultimately what matters. I've never paid to have something framed myself so I'm not the best judge of what's a reasonable price, but $120 for an 8.5" by 11" diploma that only took 10-15 minutes to frame feels like a lot. I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to coming back here but I'd compare prices at other businesses first.

The prints came with exiting mats which was an inch too big for the frame. I asked the clerk if he would cut them to fit. He said that it was their policy not to cut mats they didn't supply. This seems to be to be a non-customer friendly policy. I understand that this store wants to make as much money off me as they can but they are missing the point about customer service and value. I refused to buy the frames, which is a lost sale, and I'll never return. I will take my business to a store that offers customer service not on maximizing the cost of the sale. I'm going back to Frames Unlimited in Andover where I've always had great service.

My second piece had a huge defect in the frame. As I was returning my pieces, another customer came in to pick up hers. "This isn't the frame I ordered," she said. "This is gold; the one I chose was more silver." The guy at the store responded, "Well, this is what's written on your order..." The perplexed customer continued to express concern. The frame guy's response? "I think it looks nice. Take it home and live with it for a while. If you decide you don't like it, bring it back and we'll redesign it for you." How ridiculous is that? They are not designers, by any means, and they have no sense of quality or customer service. Buyer beware.
