    Shower area in pod room.
    Matthew U.

I had been looking forward to my appointment here since I set it up. A friend of mine had recently visited and made me aware of relaxed she was afterwards. Because of COVID they were not doing appointments for a while, but recently they starting taking appointments and I made sure to set mine up for my birthday. This location is in Scott Town Center which means plenty of parking. If you happen to be partaking for the first time, it is suggested that you show up an hour early to basically go through a walk through of your treatment. When you do show up the first thing you do is fill out paperwork, some of which is a waiver to be in the facility. You then go into a small seating area with a television. You watch a short film, maybe ten minutes max, which fills you in on how to prepare for your treatment and how to go about your treatment. Then you are escorted back to your pod room and let to start your treatment. First thing you do is place your earplugs. You then shower with shampoo and body wash to remove any type of oil or perfumes you may have on your body. Also available in the room is a makeup removal cloth and some petroleum jelly to cover up any open scratch you may have on your body. Once you shower you have the choice to enter the pod nude or with a bathing suit on, whichever you prefer. Once you enter the pod you also have a choice as to whether lay in the water with the pod open, pod cracked, or pod completely closed. Choose your position to lay in the water (which is addressed in the video, each different position focuses on where you might be feeling pain or stress), you will hear relaxing music for the first ten minutes you are in the water. After ten minutes you will lay in silence, darkness, and a stress free environment for 45 minutes. The last five minutes of your float you will here the music come back on to prepare you for your exit. At that point you will want to stretch and make yourself aware of your surroundings. Upon exiting you will shower once again, this time only with conditioner and to get the excess salt off your body. Redress and exit your pod room. Now since the rundown is done let me tell you how relaxing it was. The prep work is easy. Getting into the pod was easy as well. Once you close the pod door you are in semi-darkness. The lights in the room stay on for a bit and you can see them a bit through the crack in the pod. Once the lights do go out the pod becomes pitch black. Some people say that you can freak out in there, but I took it as prep work before making my way to bed. Some people will fall asleep in here, I did not because I was afraid that I would attempt to roll over and that would not be good in a pool of water. The salt level in the pod makes easy work for floating, no need to worry about that. You literally will just float, possibly bump into the wall a time or two, but you are in water. There is a small ring that you can use if you feel that you need to for your head. If you happen to get some of that water on your face there is a spray bottle inside that will allow you to spray the saltiness off your face. Once my float was over I exited and did my thing to get ready again. Take your towels with you and place them in one of the hampers in the hallway. Afterwards you can proceed to the bathroom area, here you will find simple toiletries like deodorant, hair gel/spray, and perfume/cologne. Also available is a hair dryer if you wish to style your hair. After that you can decompress some more if you wish. You have access to an oxygen bar, I did not partake. You are also offered tea or water. The tea flavor changes. You are also debriefed in a way. This was honestly one of the best thing I have done in a long time. My goal was to get some good rest out of it. That night I slept like a baby.

I got a free pass to go here from my gym and ended up getting a membership. I've been twice so far and I really love the experience. It's bougie so I like it . Everything is so luxurious and makes you think you're in a very fancy spa. You get to use the oxygen bar for 15 minutes after your float, and they offer you tea or water before and after. It is so relaxing to just float and do nothing! I love how they have the prep area and provide things like a hair dryer, straightener, lotion, and cotton swabs for their customers. Mark who works there is just amazing and always makes me feel welcomed. So far the floats have relaxed me, and I am looking forward to seeing how they can positively impact my health once I start doing it more.

This place is super relaxing and immaculately clean. I go regularly because I get so much relief from muscle and joint pain plus it's beneficial for my mental health. I have Lupus and there are many times that my wrist hurts so bad while just steering my car but then on the way home, I have zero pain. And whether you have ADHD like me or not, it's so beneficial to let your brain just shut down for an hour and reset. You can let your body just float effortlessly and relax and enjoy the break from the constant daily sensory overload of life. I always leave there relaxed, but energized. They say it takes three floats to feel the the full effects but I was hooked after my first float. Give it a try. The staff there are amazing and will do whatever they can to make sure you enjoy your experience.

Great way to relax and absorb magnesium into the body. It's interesting how slippery the water feels with that much magnesium in it.

I did not feel rushed at all throughout my experience. The deprivation pod was not like anything I have ever experienced, but I can see how it could be habit forming! Super relaxing... I loved the in room shower for before and after session. The relaxation area had everything you needed to freshen up and continue on with your day. The complementary oxygen bar was also a nice perk! I'd definitely return, and would recommend this TR to anyone interested in trying something new for self care!

Truthfully, I am unsure what to think regarding my first try. Here are key observations:…read more Observation 1. Once in your assigned room, there is a large dome filled with heavily salted water where your relaxation begins; this allows for anyone to be able to "float on top" due to its density. Observation 2. The room includes a shower. Be sure to clean up but do not use the conditioner. It is important to stay clean and not introduce chemicals into the dome. Also before you shower or introduce water to your head, don those specially made earplugs on, they won't come off during the duration of your float. Observation 3. Before entering the dome, note that a rolled up towel and a spray bottle filled with fresh water is located on the ledge inside. If this is not the case, alert the staff by pressing the help button. You will need this in case some of that salt water gets into your eyes. It will sting and hurt like the dickens. How do I know? I think you know cuz I was squirting that into my affected eyes and wiping with the clean towel! Observation 4. Once you hear the music stop, the time clock begins. Stay still and the entire time you will be sensory deprived and it will be completely quiet. Once the music starts back up again, that alerts you it is time to start your move to exit and start showering and cleaning off all the salt water. Observation 5. An oxygen bar is available afterwards in the resting area and a room to use brush and hair dryer for your after shower needs. Once the entire session was completed, I did not experience the same thing I normally would from say a steam sauna, a hot tub soak or a massage. It has been said, actually the staff person said it normally takes several sessions before you realize the benefits. I am still on the fence and have not returned to see if this is would be true.
