I hesitate to write this review because my intention is not to harm a business, but to offer transparency for future guests and hopefully encourage improvement. We were really excited to try this float spa, as it was marketed as a luxury relaxation experience--unfortunately, that was not what we encountered. While the concept itself is wonderful, the cleanliness of the facilities was concerning. There was feces in a trash can directly next to my float pod, visible buildup in the showers and float pods, and paint bubbling and flaking on the walls. These issues made it difficult to relax and raised serious questions about overall sanitation. Ultimately I was unable to complete my float due to being uncomfortable. I did communicate this experience with the staff, and they were apologetic and waived the cost of my visit, which I appreciated. I truly hope this serves as a wake-up call for deeper, more consistent cleaning and facility maintenance so the experience can better align with the "luxury" standard being advertised-- especially in a setting centered around wellness and relaxation. read more

I've been curious about trying this for some time now. I've heard mix reviews from folks about floating and thought I needed to give it a go myself. I almost bought a groupon for here but learned they offer free floats for veterans, etc. on the 11th of each month so I got my appointment in. I'm very grateful they offer this, what a great way to give it a try. The place is very welcoming and warm. They have all the amenities to clean up after your float and make it very comfortable. I would highly recommend coming in here if you are interested in trying it. They also have the oxygen bar and some hot tea to sip while you relax. They are very friendly and professional. This is my favorite place to float in Omaha. I've been to other salons, but True Rest has the polish that makes them worth driving across town for. Like most places, the individual rooms offer a shower, complimentary toiletries, ear plugs, Vaseline to cover any nicks or cuts, and the float pod itself. However, True Rest also offers a headphone jack and shelf for you to plug in you phone or other music device so you can listen to your own music. I opt for the salon's option, which was Marconi Union's Weightless. (If you're unfamiliar, this song is scientifically proven to help reduce stress.) After you float and rinse off again, you can continue getting ready in the lounge area located in with the unisex restrooms. Amenities include combs, cotton swabs, cotton balls, lotion, and hair drier. Before leaving, you're encouraged to spend a few minutes in the oasis room. In this space are books, journals, water, tea, and the oxygen bar. Membership includes the oxygen. Non members can enjoy this perk for an additional charge. I've never had a negative experience here, and have recommended this place to everyone I know who's expressed interest in floating. Do yourself a service and give them a shot. read more

Very cool experience. You get an hour to float. After 5 mins I wanted to leave thinking it was ridiculous, but I soon feel asleep. Woke up feeling energetic, had several dreams, and was in a good mood after. Shower beforehand and after, foam float will keep your head up. The concentrated salt water keeps your body afloat, I felt very safe. Water is same temperature as your body and in combo with your body not touching anything but the headrest makes you feel senseless in a very comforting manner. You don't have to close lid, but the light inside makes the closed chamber pleasant. Option for quiet meditation music. Would definitely do more often if wasn't so expensive. Staff was friendly. This was really a cool experience and something I have wanted to try for 30+ years. The check in process is a little awkward, but I'm sure they are just covering their bases. The 10 min video is helpful and nice, but I would have rather watched it before I got there and just moved doing with the process to speed it up. I was disappointed as there was a snafu with the music which was actually supposed to help with knowing the time, so not having it honestly had me freaking a little that I was constantly supposed to be getting out. I had been wanting to try a float session for the last few years and was happy to find a LivingSocial deal to introduce me. The staff were very professional, and the sign-in process was pretty quick. I heard the receptionist tell another spa-goer that they try to get 4 people per time slot, so 4 of you will sign-in and be taken to a separate area to view an 11-minute video on the benefits, instructions, etc, together. It was a good video to see on the first visit, albeit strange to watch in a group setting. Could the iPad be loaded with that video? From the video viewing room, your group is taken on a guided tour. The current format of this tour is somewhat awkward for both yourself and the people in the lounge already partaking in their post-float services. Perhaps it would be better with an explanation of what we were going to see while in the video room, then be able to walk by the other spa-goers quietly, without a tour guide standing there explaining what they are all doing. OR, perhaps a guide could be waiting near the lounge to greet spa goers after their float and show them to the accoutrements? Just a thought. There is an area with a men's and women's restroom, and a "getting ready area" all in the same nook. It is really an L-shaped counter with 1 sink, 1 hair dryer and a few bottles of lotion, Qtips, etc. My biggest suggestion will be about this piece. It really should be that there's a men's room and men's getting ready area separate from the women's area. There is some discomfort attending to blow drying your hair while a man hangs out waiting for his wife at the same counter. Note: everyone is dressed in this area. Its just that personal care is typically done differently in other spas, and that format seems to be what is most comfortable. (I shared this with a friend on the phone who also agreed.) The guide shows everyone to a suite and walks through all of the details. Walking in, you are greeted with a nice warm temperature and well-appointed. Roomy, nice finishes, and clean. However, it would be nice if the shower were a slight level lower or so to keep the water from going ALL over the floor. Proves tricky in keeping pants totally dry when changing. After the demo, everyone is shown to their own suite. There's an opportunity to go back and visit the restroom, then you shower before getting in your pod. The shower products were amazing. I was very pleasantly surprised. Bravo! The amount of time in the pod is perfect. Some float companies do a 90-minute float and my personal opinion is that would be too long. Some areas for improvement: I noticed a long hair on the spray bottle inside my pod that is to be used for rinsing eyes should salt water get in them, etc. I noticed another hair on the teak shower bench near the shower. I noticed hairs on the floor of the womens' restroom. I think what happens is, the salt encourages hair that is ready to shed, to shed. We know that epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) draws things out. The entire facility was very clean, yet the sight of a stray hair is not super awesome. This didn't ruin my experience but I certainly noticed it, as I mentioned. Overall, a nice treat. Oh my goodness! I am addicted. When you are a chronic pain sufferer, you learn to live with it and cope as you can. I love my ice therapy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE float therapy even more! The one hour of sheer weightlessness and being pain free is absolute bliss!!! It first took me to get out of my own mind, but since then, I have become a monthly member and throw my money willingly at them. I will even do the coloring book while I suck in Peppermint oxygen! The staff is phenomenal. The spa products they us are wonderful and the pace is spotless and comforting! Mamas... think hiding away from noise and any stimulation for an hour or more! A one star rating is beyond generous. The entire experience from beginning to end was questionable and there are far more relaxing things to do with nearly $100 than float around in cold (& questionably "clean") water. I'm not sure what upsets me more, the wasted money or the uncomfortable 60 minutes out of my life that I can never get back. The whole thing seems like a gimmicky fad to me. The only people that I can understand choosing to spend that kind of money for this are those that don't have bathtubs at home...otherwise your home tub will offer far more comfort...like setting the water temp to one that is actually comfortable, in water that you can be sure is fresh. I don't know how they sanitize the water after each use...all I know is that once I got out, the water wasn't fully drained, rather jets kicked on for a few minutes. ?? It might just be me, but it really grosses me out to think of stewing around in recycled water in a pod that isn't actually scrubbed after each use! The atmosphere as a whole is a little creepy, someone mentioned a sci-fi movie in a previous review & that is a perfect description. The staff is extremely unprofessional (despite the scrubs in their silly attempt to look like medical professionals). If you still decide to give this place a try...be careful!! They are very, very sneaky about they way they word their so-called deals/coupons & they get very defensive when you question them. read more

More relaxed then I have ever felt in my life. Staff was very kind and the float rooms are so clean. Rain shower in your float room allows you to rinse off before and after as well as amazing smelling shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion that leaves you smelling and feeling great. Currently only been two hours since my float but my skin feels incredible and I feel so refreshed. Actually being in the float pod was a great time. I thought I would struggle to remain still for an hour and get bored but I was actually disappointed when the hour mark hit and it was time to get out! The floats are great, don't get me wrong! However they scammed me when I signed up for a membership. They had a promotion with unlimited floats and you can bring a guest anytime. I signed up for the one month membership. I found out from a friend who signed up for the promotion that he went to cancel his membership before he was charged for the next month and they told him you have to give 30 day notice. I went in and spoke to the manager and told her that I was told I could cancel anytime. She was not kind. She told me she would do me a favor this one time and cancel my membership but I would still have to pay for the second month (not sure what the favor was there). So I will be billed for a second month regardless. She told me my unlimited floats were still good for that first month. So I booked an appointment for my friend and me. After our float the manager asked my friend if her credit card was on file and she said no. And the manager looked at me and said she would just let this one slide! I have no idea what she was talking about because it was the first time I brought a guest and it was within my first month of unlimited floats. I will never refer anyone to this place just based on the lack of information given when you sign up and based on how rude they were about the situation.
