We packed so much in to our week but nothing ever felt rushed and we were able to genuinely enjoy each experience. Our tour guide Laura was so knowledgeable and professional and a joy to spend the week with. I got the pork belly rice bowl at the Girdwood izakaya. A bit heavy on the salt, but overall an enjoyable meal. Love the blueberry kombucha at the brewery! V, our guide, was informative and helped take pictures of my family! They pick up and drop off at your hotel. Not too sure about the water bottles though. After you are done drinking the tap water, you have to return the bottles for them to recycle. Although they use a dishwasher, it seems a bit strange for me to share bottles with other people.

Yes it's expensive to overnight in Denali-we did 1 nt Cabin at main entrance & 3 nts at the Back Country Lodge & loved every minute of it. It was an experience of a lifetime & think it was worth every penny we paid. The staff was super friendly & totally accommodating. Meeting other fellow travelers was great. The food is plentiful & fairly good quality. The Naturalists who took us hiking were so informative. We were lucky to see Mt. Mckinley all three days while staying at the Back Country Lodge. Also it was delightful to be there at the Kantishna Music Festival We felt very blessed- that we didn't have to be a day tripper as most people are. We savored that we could become disconnected-no WiFi for a few days. Such a treat.... We highly recommend Pilar & Alaska Denali Tours. Expect a Rustic outdoor once in a lifetime Experience. Sea kayaking, white water rafting, canoeing, hiking, glacier walking, 8 seater plane to view Mount Denali and more! The guide's mannerism with people was friendly, yet professional. He provided activities suitable for all levels of fitness, as well as meals that were fantastic and healthy. Lodging was above basic and clean. Communication with this company was timely and much appreciated. Whether you are single, a couple, or a family, I highly recommend seeing Alaska in the action!

We just got back from the Family Adventure tour where we hiked…read moreevery day, kayaked, trekked a glacier, and took a day cruise where we watched a calving glacier and saw more whale than I could count. We also saw puffins, orcas, bears, sea lions, and so much more. We stayed in quaint little cabins next to the water. At every turn, I was in awe of what I was seeing and doing. Best of all, Get Up & Go did ALL THE WORK! The entire trip was perfectly planned and executed. And our guide, Ray -- holy cow! He was so genuine and kind and knowledgable. He took the time to get to know us as individuals and treated us like family -- intuitively picking up on each of our unique needs and preferences. He made us great meals, taught us a ton about Alaska, and kept us all on track. I seriously cannot imagine a better guide!!!

We just glanced through it and went out to look at all the pretty flowers and trees and stuff in the garden! Staff was very friendly, they had things to buy but we just walked on. Outside, we saw vegetables, berries, trees, flowers, and more grown right there at the Visitor Center. If in town, take the time to stop by and check it out.
