We have a tradition to get family photos in Dec since my son was born 4 years ago. We had been to Princess Wedding (in flushing) and local JCPenney few times. True Love was not as good as Princess wedding but acceptable the first time we went. Since Princess wedding raised their price, I decided to go to TL again thinking at least True Love would be better than JCPenney which is too repetitive when it comes to background. Man, the worse outcome we've had in the past few years. We should have gone to JCPenney instead. The background was terrible chosen (I don't like it but I trusted the photographer), the photographer didn't stage our pose when they don't look right and unable to capture a good moment. I somehow felt they ruined my Xmas spirit this year because this is one of the important things we do as a family. :( read more

My husband and I (Chinese and Pakistani), very honestly, cannot be more satisfied with True Love. We were recommended by a friend who has had wedding services with them, but it was too late in the sense that we had hired people in advance. We decided to go to them anyways because our photographer could not schedule us for an engagement photo shoot before the wedding. Panic that we did not have much time left, two months before the wedding, we went to True Love as well as many wedding studios in and out of Flushing, and decided that True Love was the right choice. Honestly, many wedding studios in Flushing will pressure and rush you for services that you may not be 100% happy with. A lot of studios just want to make money on that day, and won't take the time to talk about your vision and your expectations. True Love never rushed or pressured us. We spoke with Joanne and Chao (owners) and they were so patient, kind and flexible. We visited them many a times before signing a contract, and honestly the type of services and the prices that Joanne and Chao provided was the best that we saw. I was constantly in touch with Joanne via email, phone and in person and she honestly is the best. She selected the best people to perform and really made everything top of the line. She is organized, caring and very timely. She felt like a sister throughout the whole process. We couldn't be happier working with Joanne. We ended up hiring Tony (photographer) for our wedding day because his portfolio was simply outstanding. We were also so lucky that Tony was available for our wedding day because he's constantly in demand. On the day of the engagement photo shoot, I had my hair and make-up done with Cindy. She is amazing. I have never had a trial with her, but she made me look beautiful. I honestly cannot praise her more enough. She also found the best dresses for me to wear on that day and I really cannot thank her enough. The photo shoot is not just an hour it takes half the day which is great! Afterwards, my husband and I as well as the photographer, drove out to Long Island to take our shots. Tony is such a good photographer. I cannot praise him enough. He knew how to position my husband and me for good shots. He is very confident and comfortable in his element. Our wedding day was August 17th, 2013. We wanted to use the engagement photos as a background slideshow during the wedding reception. Tony completed touching up the photos before the wedding which we were very thrilled with. It came out so awesome. When it was played on the wedding day, everyone sang praises of the picture. Honestly, Tony is an amazing photographer. In addition, when we hired him on our wedding day, he assisted my husband with tasks that the best man was supposed to do. We were super happy to have Tony with us that day. I used True Love for my May 2013 wedding. They're essentially a one stop shop to get everything that you need for your wedding at a very reasonable price. I worked with Cindy, and to be honest, she's the absolute best! She helped me pick out the right package for the things that I wanted and needed. I chose to go with the photographer, videographer, bridesmaids dress, tuxes, hair & makeup, and limo package. I decided to pay a little extra to get brand new dresses for the girls and a different colored tux for the boys. Cindy found me the PERFECT bridesmaid dresses in the perfect color. The dresses fit beautifully on all my girls and the alterations was included in the price. I also went with their photographer Jason. He was fun to work with and the finished product, our wedding album, is beautiful. Hard cover bound book that I show off to everyone! But make sure you like your photographer's style because True Love has many different photographers to choose from. The best thing about True Love is that they are extremely professional and helpful. I went to Cindy for every little question over the 10 months I was working with them and she found solutions to all my problems. Cindy made excellent suggestions without being pushy, and gave me the perfect amount of attention to detail and calm that a bride needs. Like everyone said, this is a one stop shop to get everything you need for your wedding day-- wedding gown, bridesmaid gown, qipao and tux rentals, makeup and hair, photo, video and limo. Lots of Asians rent their wedding gowns rather than buy... It's generally cheaper, especially since alterations are included. I've known three people who have used true love and I was also part of the bridal party in one of them. One of brides even bought a wedding dress but decided to use their rental because she liked it more. All the photos came out really good. Chao, the photographer makes you feel comfortable and capture the bride in her best light. The make up is also done so you look natural and not like a clown. I was also impressed with their video skills... They were able to edit and include their ceremony in a video shown during the reception a few hours later. read more

I used True Love for my wedding in May of 2010. Joanne has always been a pleasure to work with and we used Chao as our photographer. We did have to pay extra for him, but it was so worth it and he came with an extra photog. He also did our outdoor shoot so we can have a feel of how he would be on the wedding day and we have so many great shots with him! We bought a pkg because I didnt want to deal with shopping at different places for different services. I was so happy with the service and quality I received! :) Fast forward to the wedding day and everything from start to finish exceeded my expectations. I often watch my wedding video to relive the day and i'm happy with everything :) Since my wedding, i've been going back to True Love for the past three years for family photos. We still request Chao since no one else compares for us and we're so comfortable with him. Joanne, Tony, Cindy, Tina, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for my wedding. I am very grateful to have had them part of my wedding. I do not live in New York, so communication was key. This was never an issue with Joanne and her staff. They were always prompt and responsive. I actually emailed Joanne the night before the wedding with a shot list for the photographer. The day of the wedding, the next day, she shared the shot list with the photographer while joking about the time I sent the email. She made sure that my needs and concerns were addressed and taken care of even while she was out of town. If Joanne wasn't available Cindy was there ready to listen and help. She also helped me pick out the dress of my dreams with the perfect veil. I ordered a new gown with Cindy's help. She was thoughtful and helpful through the whole process. I would definitely do it again even though I had to pay extra. It's nothing compared to how much you would be paying if you bought the dress which you will only end up wearing once. Our photographer was Tony. He is patient, personable, funny, hardworking and talented. My husband is very shy and doesn't like taking pictures in public. Tony patiently and willingly helped my husband overcome this discomfort and even provided tips here and there on how to take pictures. His skills are also evident. Everyone loved our engagement pictures and complimented on the quality and uniqueness. Even though we haven't seen our wedding pictures, I trust his professionalism and giftedness. True Love exceeded all of our expectations. My first experience with this studio was as the maid of honor for my best friend's wedding in November 2013. I watched the detail and care Tina put into my friend's hair and makeup, and of course I was pleasantly surprised with the way my own hair and makeup turned out. My parents also noticed during my friend's wedding how hard Tony worked to capture photos of her special day. Without even waiting to see her photos, we immediately went to True Love (the new location on Northern Blvd. is fantastic!), bought their amazing package deal, and asked for Tina and Tony. I was lucky enough to benefit from Tina's magic three times (engagement photo shoot, wedding photo shoot, and wedding day), and to have Tony capture it in gorgeous photos. Tony is an incredibly skilled photographer. Before the first photo shoot, my husband and I were feeling pretty awkward about posing and taking pictures, but Tony made us feel at ease. Most importantly, he made us look crazy good and not the least bit cheesy. We received so many compliments on our photos. By the time the wedding happened, my husband and I were completely confident that our precious memories were in good hands. Needless to say, when we got the photos only 3 weeks after the wedding, we were so pleased. I should mention that True Love also gave us our video DVD at the same time and it was wonderful. The DVD has a short "wedding highlights" clip that is great for showing off to friends and family who are just as excited as you to relive the wedding day, just for a little bit. I highly recommend True Love. I cannot say enough good things about them. Joanne, our account manager, was sweet and always responsive to my numerous questions by phone and email. I used True Love for my wedding in September for its affordability and their quality of work. Joanne met with us from the beginning and talked us through the packages and photo styles. She also helped set up appointments with our photographer, Garcia and my hair/makeup stylist Tina. Tina is amazing at what she does! She really takes the time to create the look you want. I loved my hair and makeup for my trial and my wedding day! It looked natural and beautiful! I got so many compliments! There were 2 other ladies helping her with hair and makeup who didn't speak english too well and my bridesmaids weren't happy with their looks. Luckily Tina was there to save the day and redo their looks. I recommend you find out who will be assisting Tina on the day of the wedding beforehand. Garcia, our photographer was also very pleasant to work with. He met with us before the wedding and went over the schedule for the wedding day. On the wedding day, he was always there to capture every moment for us - a 1 man show and he did phenomenal. We have so many awesome photos throughout the day and night that it is so hard to choose photos for our album! He was so easy to work with and made it easy to feel comfortable in front of the camera. We went to True Love to get all our photos done for our wedding as well as rent out a few tuxedos for the wedding. Our pictures and experience with True Love turned out very well done. The photographers were very nice and made it easy for us to pose. They showed us what to do and what not to do to make our pictures look the best. They were also very accommodating in the type of background we wanted to take pictures with and the different gowns that we can try on. Our studio shots looked fabulous and the scenery they have looked classy and elegant. They showed us how the pictures looked right on the set so we can see how it turned out and the style they were aiming for. Overall the studio shots turned out really nice. On our wedding day, we had a photographer take pictures at the ceremony and at the reception. They again were very accommodating in taking all the group family photos as well as capturing the moments during the ceremony and everyone mingling at the reception. The photos definitely will give us good memories of our wedding day. Overall, True love provide almost all of the photos taken on a CD and we were very happy with the high res quality. My wedding was in May 2014. I worked with Cindy throughout the process and she is the best! She answers to all my emails in a timely fashion. Our wedding was May 2014 and we decided on True Love based on the packaging and recommendations from past experiences of friends/family. Studio ambiance-the new studio located on Northern Blvd is clean and modern. Each area with a designated purpose. Staff- Pei Pei, who we worked with most during our wedding and now Cindy-post wedding who we are still in contact with concerning our albums were/are friendly, patient with questions and courteous. Photography-we selected Jason as our photographer. The outdoor photographs came out well! Jason was patient in his endeavors to coax natural smiles from my husband who hates taking pictures. We were not specific with the moments we wished to have captured, yet Jason did capture the classic wedding moments. We have only received one of our parent's album at this time and it came out beautiful and professional. We are still waiting for the other parent's album and our personal bride and groom album, so have to share how those albums came out. Our poster came out beautiful as well! Make up & hair-our package did not include hair and make up, so we selected it as an addition, which included a free trial for the bride. Tina did the bride's hair and make up. She was great with producing "natural beauty" without the cakey effect of make up. She catered to all my requests and provided great suggestions when I wasn't sure. She was also great with giving options for bridal hair during the trial-to trial various up dos. The other girls who did the make up & hair for the bridesmaid were also very patient and accommodating to requests as well-(considering the bridesmaid was absolutely clueless about how she wanted to look). Anybody that knows me (especially my husband) would agree that I worry about every little thing and need lots of time to think things through. We got married August 8, 2015 a date which we picked more than two years prior. I agonized for hours (days) about which photographer to go with before even making appointments to discuss pricing. I finally made an appointment with True Love and had my sisters come along so I wouldn't forget any questions in my anxious state. I had planned to look at a few more studios but when we arrived, Tony my photographer just happened to be there too. My sisters immediately recommended booking with him. He had been the photographer for both of my sisters and my brother. My husband and I have not been disappointed. Our engagement photos and wedding photos were gorgeous. Tony was very patient with all my family members who constantly interjected and asked to be photographed immediately. Tina did my hair and makeup for the engagement photos and the wedding. I have never seen anyone else put on makeup so flawlessly and make it look so natural and I have been in many weddings. There was none of the over the top glitter or obvious blush which I wanted to avoid and I looked great even after crying. I was not planning on getting a videographer because I was under the impression that I would watch an awkward video once and never look at it again. However, with the packages available, it was actually within my price range. I am so glad I got the video! I have re-watched our highlight video every day since I got it (about a week ago). True love was able to make me (a very awkward person) look like a well composed movie star. I also love the video of our guests whom we didn't get to spend a lot of time with. My only regret, which wasn't True Love's fault, was that I forgot to share my planned itinerary which I had written months before the wedding. In this itinerary, I would have had the videographer and photographer separate during our private tea ceremony so I could have gotten video of games our dj entertained the guests with while we were in a different room. However, the videographer got some great footage of my parents which would not have happened if I actually communicated this plan. During the whole process I worked with Joanne who is very prompt in responding and professional and courteous. Cindy and Yvonne also helped during dress fittings, planning the layout for albums, and are very nice. The video, album, and enlargements that we have received so far are high quality. Some of the photographers I looked at don't even provide printed albums or photos. You get a digital copy and then have to figure out how to get them printed yourself. Trust me when I say a snapfish or shutterfly album will never look as good. I highly recommend True Love. read more

My cousin recommended True Love, and we used them for the hair/makeup, tuxedo rentals, and photography for the wedding day. We were pleased with their services and would recommend to others. The hair/makeup was fantastic. Tina worked on the bride's makeup & hair, and she put a lot of time, attention & detail into making sure I looked good. The products were high quality and lasted the whole day, and needed only small touch ups. I received a lot of compliments the entire day and was very pleased, and highly recommend her. The other artists for the bridesmaids and mother were also very good. The tuxedo rental service was good. The staff was attentive and helpful. Our photographer Tony was solid. He took a lot of good photographs and told us where to stand and how to pose. We got our pictures back in a timely manner. The only suggestion I would make, is to get the specific address from him ahead of time (if you are meeting him for pictures between the reception and ceremony, for some generic meeting place). The day of the wedding, he gave us GPS coordinates to a park but the coordinates weren't correct, and 2 cars went to the wrong address (crossing over a bridge, then going back over the bridge). We lost a bit of time for our outdoor photo session and didn't get as many shots outdoors as I would have liked. Other than that, he did a good job with the photography, and took the pictures we would have expected at the ceremony & reception. read more

Our experience in Brooklyn not so good, however thanks to the professionalism from the flushing studio, we have gotten 5 star service from Chow, Garcia and Joanne. I used them for my wedding back in 2010. Price was a little more than their competition in Flushing but it was worth the hassle free experience. My only complaints would be the lack of choices for dresses in my small and petite size. But the girls there can definitely do magic to make it fit! They are wonderful and helpful even though their English is limited, but overall was manageable. Now 3 years later, they still remember us! The girl Cindy even remembered the dress i wore on my wedding! We had a family holiday photo shoot which turned out great considering my 1 yr old wasn't very cooperative! lol We even rushed them for the pictures so i can make my xmas cards in time and they delivered! read more

If I can give this wedding center a 0 stars I would. All because of one wedding consultant - Lawrence. My wedding was April 11, 2010 and I was working with Lawrence for my photos and photo albums. It is now July 31, 2014 and I still have YET to receive my wedding album. I have dealt with numerous consultants to get this matter fixed and just when there seems to be progress I don't have calls or emails returned and then get passed to a new associate. Time after time they gave me a ETA of when my album would be complete and time after time they gave me some excuse as to why it was not done. I strongly suggest avoiding this company - PS I had written a post on their FB page warning brides of this and it was deleted. So hopefully they will not remove this post. read more

My wife and I used True Love for their photography and videography services when we got married earlier this year. Both of us prefer natural/candid photography style, which is something that we don't find in too many wedding studios in Flushing NY. When we set foot in True Love wedding studio, we were greeted by Chao (the owner, which we had no idea at the moment). He was very friendly, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable in the photography field. We had friendly conversations with him, and he offered packages that are competitive with the other studios (Price is a little on the high side, but well worth it considering the quality of his work). Their photo samples and albums were what sealed the deal: Natural, not over-photoshopped, and classy. We used True Love's wedding photography/videography/album package, and also rented our wedding suits/dresses/wedding limo services through them. We were very lucky to have Chao to be our photographer for our engagement photo sessions, as his skills are nothing short of spectacular. It's the first time that we used a professional photographer, and he went out of his way to make sure both of us were comfortable and relaxed, and provided plenty of tips to pose for the best pictures. The crew members at True Love Wedding were very professional as well. Throughout the photography/dress fitting sessions, they had been very helpful in arranging scheduling, as well as providing tips on selecting dresses. Our photographer/videographer are veterans in this field, and knew exactly how to work with what we'd consider a typical Cantonese wedding, and ensuring that we don't run into overtime given a pretty condensed schedule on our wedding day. All in all, I believe True Love offers a very compelling photography package for the money, and their services also puts them above the competition. It's been five months since the wedding day, and we are currently waiting for the wedding album to come in, and I hope that the quality will be as great as the services that we have received so far from them! Long overdue review of True Love Wedding Studio. Just wanted to thank Joanne, Chao, Tony and all the staff at TL who made our wedding such a special day. First, both Chao and Joanne were very professional and understanding. They made every effort and exceeded all of our expectations. Both my wife and I were a bit hesitant with going with TL as many of our friends and some family members felt that culture differences might make things difficult for us. Those concerns were soon put to rest as everyone from the photographer, Tony to all the staff from top to bottom were very helpful, understanding made sure everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend True Love for your wedding needs as they were flexible on every budget and made us feel that our money was well spent. True Love Wedding really made my wedding day seamless. Catering to the Asian community, there are many similar services throughout Flushing and Chinatown area but I chose True Love for the following reasons: 1. I was very specific about a service that was more Americanized (language communication, style preferences in terms of makeup and dress choices) 2. I needed a packaged service (since I am not one to shop ala carte!) 3. Friendly, helpful, flexible and an accommodating staff (with all the scheduling and visits). I also liked the fact that they were not pushy or "too salesy" like some of their competitors were. Upon my first meeting with Chao and Joanne, they were able to figure out my tastes and preferences. They also really customized my package to include things that they knew were important to me and what wasn't. They were also very helpful in selecting the team that would be a part of my big day. I don't usually wear much makeup and knew that I had wanted something more simple and less dramatic so they suggested Tina as my makeup artist. Tina is amazing. She is sweet, patient and really enhanced all my features naturally. For our photographer we had Tony. During our studio pictures he was very helpful in how to direct our poses (since my husband and I are not ones that know how to stand and pose). He speaks English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) which was perfect for all of our guests on our wedding day. Every appointment I made was very easy and always worked with the schedule constraints myself and the bridal party had. Joanne was great managing most of this process as was the other staff Cindy and Yvonne who was very patient with me during the dress fittings. If you are looking for a one-stop shop all inclusive service with a wonderful staff that can cater to Chinese/Americans I highly recommend True Love! read more

Worse ever. Got the pictures back and it's disgusting. For one blow up picture they photoshopped the background and it didn't even matched. Shows how much they don't care. Looks like once you put a payment down their attitude change from nice to don't care. They have reasonable prices but for a once in lifetime event I will definitely look elsewhere. They don't care about your suggestions. Had an appointment and they would try cancel that and convince you to come on a day that's less busy for them. Also told them less makeup do I can look as natural as possible and they would put lots of make up and thick eye lash extensions. I wished they could just listen to me more and do a better job in photoshopping. Its like putting chair in park to cover a person. Joanne needs to have better customer service skills. read more

The video they gave us came out grainy (even though this was already a few months after our wedding). When we asked for changes, they came out all high and mighty and said that it was the best quality and you could not do any better. Who responds like that? read more

Joanne and her team are fabulous and so are my pictures. My bf, myself and my mum, who can be hard to be pleased love them. Rex, our photographer, is fun, professional, experienced and works magic! He taught us how to pose, although the poses weren't very comfortable, they look amazing in pictures. He definitely knows his stuff, stunning pictures with perfect angles and light. i was a bit nervous on the first day as he sounded directive and authoritative in directing poses, but turned out he was a fun and humorous person and trusted him immediately after reviewing the pix on his camera. He showed enthusiasm with our session, looking for various locations and angles for the pictures, even in the crowded times square and under the rain. i had two days of shooting with them. After the first day, i insisted having Coco make up for my second day! Coco is attentive and talented. She made me look beautiful and elegant. Highly recommend! Joanne, and her girls, pei pei and Cindy are very helpful and patient with my dresses and touch-ups. Their evening gowns look simple, but incredibly elegant in pictures! love their taste! They have a wide variety of wedding gowns, easy to find one i like. In fact, i picked two WG for shooting and there are still others i hope to wear on. all in all, tlwedding is amazing. They went out of their way to make my prewedding pictures wonderful despite my tight schedule and fluctuating weather in ny. I flew from HK and was only in town for less than 3 weeks, they were so efficient and accommodating that not only had they allowed me to finish the two shootings under nice weather days, i even got to get all the pictures with some touch-ups before i flew back Hong Kong. Couldn't appreciate Rex and Joanne more, who stayed until late in office for me to pick up the cd on the day of my flight. I would def recommend tlwedding to my frds! I love them for their expertise, their friendliness and "heart" to make your pictures amazing. read more
