I spontaneously went to Hydravolve Studios because I was nearby, it had good reviews online and I wanted to check out styles, prices, etc. I met with Shannon who was just finishing up with a client & happened to be available the remainder of that evening. She went over everything with me and showed me the earrings. It was way too plain for me and the only downfall - they don't have a good variety to choose from in stock. If you wan't rhinestones/more bling or a specific style, etc., you'll need to order it with her, wait for it to come in and then go back to get your piercing. With the fact that I have been contemplating getting this piercing done for a long time, I knew I was ready to get it done right then and there..but also wanted something with bling. Lucky for me, Shannon was able to find an earring with a "little" bling and told me it was available since the person who ordered it, after a month or so, never came back. I decided to go for it and so glad I did. I did tell Shannon to not show me the needle she was going to use or anything because I'd probably run out of the room lol Shannon was very informative; told me everything she was doing, step by step. She was very clean, very nice and super gentle. It happened so quickly with one deep breath. After she was done, she went over in detail on clean/care instructions. I had no issues with paying for the coverup but he got extremely sensitive and unprofessional and just decided to block me instead. I have gotten lots of tattoos from him and he has never messed up before. I feel like as a regular the shop owner and artist should have handled this better.It's honestly just ridiculous. I don't recommend this shop. But also don't hire artists who can only trace and can't actually draw. The bat ears he messed up on wasn't part of the stencil it was free handed.

This isn't a walk in and wall pick a tattoo; those places are a dime a dozen so you can easily find one anywhere. AlterHouse is a tattoo ART studio with artist of immense talents. They are choosen by clients worldwide specifically for their vision and talent with consults and then appointments usually set months in advance. Once your consult is completed, that's it and your design is reveled the day of your appointment with only small adjustments made. This is how it should be and understood by those who purse tattoo artists for their talent and vision... not because they do whatever they are told.

I came in here a little while back to have the piercer remove a captive hoop from my nose (nostril)…read moreand to put in a temporary stud. I'll keep it succinct- The guy who was supposed to do the work was clearly high on something. He was stumbling, had slurred and disjointed speech, etc. I should have walked out right then, but against my better judgement and due to a time crunch, I stayed hoping he'd be able to get the job done. Needless to say, it was pretty unpleasant. He did a pretty good number on my nose, more blood and discomfort than there ever should have been (aka, none. The piercing is over a year old and was not bleeding prior to this). To boot, while he was trying (and failing) to get the temporary stud in, the guy drooled on my shoulder. Yes, you read that right- Drooled on me. At the end of this experience, the hoop was removed and the temporary stud was put in backwards at my request because it was pretty apparent that the guy was not going to be able to get it in from the inside. Figured I'd cut my losses. I let the owner know and he told me that the guy was coming from getting a tooth pulled, and might have still been impacted by anesthesia. Extending the benefit of the doubt... maybe that was the case. But regardless, a tattoo artist or piercer should not be working on clients when impaired to the extent that they can't maintain their balance and they're drooling on clients. On a positive note, I can say that the owner was very pleasant to speak with and was very receptive to the feedback I gave after I left; he seemed genuinely concerned and said he'd go check on the guy. That said, there are far better places to get work done.

It's a process but it's so worth it and I wouldn't trust anyojeI've been coming here religiously for 4 years now. They make you so comfortable and everyone is so sweet! Especially Rose the owner, she helped me pick the shape of my browns the first time I was here! I had none so it was so nerve wracking but she made me so comfortable and confident! I've never looked back! They're doing awesome with Covid too taking temperatures and social distancing. I cannot say enough good things about this place I'd recommend it to anyone!
