Stopped in here to smash a penny and get a refrigerator magnet for the RV - looked around some after that and met the owner, he landed in a great spot and found a successful business in a great location with a view of the river he was very friendly and accommodating. One of the better souvenir shops we went into. I ended up buying a Savannah Bananas tshirt and very soft River St sweatshirt for my daughter. The quality of both items exceeded other shops we'd been in during our trip. Huge selection of shirts and other random touristy items. I also got a free reusable Savannah bag with my purchase since it was over $50. read more

I'm a true grit and I had a few along with me so this seemed like a cute place to drop into. Great little tourist souvenir shop to grab something that said Savannah or something to highlight that you'd be drinking and wearing green. It also seemed to specialize in all things country. Plenty of cowboy hats, screen print t-shirts, fake guns, and ideal things on the walls that make great backgrounds for selfies. I cannot believe the customer service (or lack thereof) i just received at this store. We walked in thinking the store looked cute and decided to look at some items, wanting to purchase a few Simply Southern shirts and souvenirs. However, we were met by an impatient associate who snatched a toy from us when we were testing to see how it worked. She then impatiently and rudely tapped her fingers on the counter as she hovered over us while we were looking at necklaces we wanted to purchase. We then were standing (2 were sitting on the stairs) while waiting for another to finish shopping, and were yelled at by the associate to either get off the stairs or get out - while we were already getting up and leaving. (Mind you, there was no one else in the store and we would have happily moved had there been anyone around). I cannot believe the rudeness and impatience of the associate. I have never once been treated like a child like that, and i have never once done anything to deserve that. Obviously i did not buy anything and i will not be returning. Hopefully people see this so that they will not habe made to feel the way we were made to feel. read more

WARNING DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS!!! My wife went in to purchase a book after we had just waited two hours for a mediocre meal next door. After that long wait, our almost 2 year old was tired, cranky and throwing a fit. I was outside with our screaming child when my wife overheard the store clerk tell another woman that he couldn't believe parents would let their child be out that late (845 est but we're from Chicago so that's 745 cst to us) and also saying who would let their child scream like that. I'm proud of my wife for not decking the clerk, as I might of. Any parent can relate to a 2 year old tantrum and how difficult it can be, but true grits hires staff that judges with ignorance. Rudely. Savannah has been our vacation destination over a dozen times in the past 6 years and we typically steer clear of river street, but true grits will NEVER get our business and I urge any sympathetic parent who can relate to our story to steer clear as well. I mean the same goods are in the next door down the street, spend your money there. Zero stars if possible. read more

"Our Trip to Savannah" This was a fun, fun stop for my daughter, as she was able to pick up a storm trooper mug, as well as a couple of other star wars items, including a kilo ren lunch box; and, a "metal earth" project, which you build without glue or wires... the instructions are hard to understand, as they are all pictures, but, we'll figure it out. The sales clerk was also a nut for star wars, so they got to talking; and, it was a very congenial and friendly stop. read more

CUSTOMER BEWARE!! YOU BREAK IT, YOU BUY IT. I was in the store the weekend before Mother's Day with my 15yr old son (we are locals to savannah) and make friend and my son accidently knocked over and broke the tail off of a figurine of the toy story horse. It was a complete accident and these JACK HOLES made me pay 9.00 for the set of woody and the horse. How generous I got a 50% off discount. This store has all junk in it anyway. China made crap that they got for pennies on the dollar and mark up for tourists to buy. How lame that they force their customers to buy something that was broken as an accident when they can clearly write that loss off on their taxes. Makes me wonder if they're double dipping. As a local resident, I would not advise any local or tourist to enter the store. This policy is a crappy way to treat customers who accidently break something. Get out of the Stone Age - you get to write business loss off when you file taxes!!!! AVOID THIS STORE!! read more

Fun store. They have all sorts of stuff in here. They have all the Savannah souvenirs that you would need as a tourist. But they also have plenty of other stuff. My husband likes to get t-shirts where ever we go and this place had some of the best selection for both men and women. The prices were also good compared to some of the other shops we went in. The employees were also helpful. One woman went and spent a significant amount of time finding my husband a shirt in the color/size combination that he wanted. Definitely stop by here for all things Savannah. read more

Great little shop for all your souvenir needs. We found Elvis blue swade shoes for grandma. After visiting Bon Aventure cemetery, my wife was happy to find ghost story books based on history of cemetery. Lots of little gifts with Savannah or Georgia on them. tee shirts of all kinds. Even some special hot sauces that both my kids loved on their pizza. Demitri at the counter was very helpful recommending ghost story books and kind with some free samples of hot peanuts and Grim Reaper hot sauce. Make sure you stop in for whatever your souvenir needs are. We even found some cool Star Wars gifts for me... lol read more
