I have been coming to this office for many years and I can tell you, this office is top notch, A-1, and definitely the best. I have seen a number of dentist, from Dr. Dill, Dr. Garey to my most recent visit with a fairly new dentist, and he was remarkably comforting and extremely skilled for the bridge replacement I needed. Kyla, assisted in the care and was extremely caring and very sweet. She made the temporary bridge which fits very comfortable. Over the years I have had oral care twice a year, and there has been a number of different hygienist and they have all been wonderful. Most recently, Alesya, who was absolutely great. You will not go wrong with this Dental Clinic. Absolutely the best!

He stated a filling would not hold due to the likelihood of the filling not adhering to my tooth. I trusted his recommendation and proceeded with the process of coming in several times for the crown. 1st Evaluation. 2nd visit: crown prep and temp crown placement 3. Permanent crown placement. I paid half the cost of the crown out of pocket $773 at my eval appointment. Another dentist performed the procedures, not Dr Dill. After my permanent crown placement. I went to check out at the front lobby. The receptionist told me my insurance did not cover my crown. She stated the claim and X-rays did not sufficient for payment. I reached out to my insurance company and the rep stated, their reviewing dentist determined the information provided did not does not show structure loss that cannot be repaired with routine filling. I reached out to the insurance claims person at his office regarding resubmitting photos, thorough explanation and x rays proving the necessity crown placement. She stated she sent in all the documents, my insurance still did not approve the claim. I received the a bill for the remaining balance of $686. A total of $1459. Therefore, Dr Dill and his office could not provide adequate documentation to justify the necessity of the crown placement to another dentist to approve a claim. FYI this is my first crown that could have been treated with a filling, if that failed a crown could have been placed after. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE TO MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY.

They were a great dentist office initially until I needed a major procedure. So, having many…read moresignificant dental issues throughout my life I ALWAYS ask for an insurance preauthorization, meaning the dentist office confirms benefits with the insurance company prior to starting any work to avoid any surprises. I was told we did this, I signed the estimate (told it was an insurance preauthorization) and we did the work. Six months later I received another large bill for the work, on top of the nearly $1,000 deductible I paid at the outset. It turns out the dentist DID NOT get a preauthorization for the work and I am now stuck with the excess bill. They did say "sorry" and said they would note that in the future we would always get pre-authorization for major work (too little, too late especially when I was told they did this), but, unfortunately, I am on the hook for the full short amount since it was only an estimate. Estimate I understand, big mistake caused by cutting corners at your customers expense, I will not accept. So now I am in for around $1,200 out of a $1,900 procedure. To be honest, I most likely would have shopped the procedure around other local dentist, delayed the work, or sought an alternative since $1,200 is not a small chunk of change. However the biggest problem now is that I no longer trust the dentist to do what they promise they will do and I can no longer trust them to be honest rather than cut corners at their customers expense. Unfortunately for them, I hold honesty and integrity to be some of the most important factors in dealing with a business, especially anything medical/dental since they are extremely important to my health and well-being, and wallet! In addition, while on the phone with the insurance company to dispute their underfunded insurance payment, I had to eat crow and apologize (for claiming they were committing fraud for stating they would cover said portion and then short paying) when they informed me that they never received a preauthorization and their portion was in line with our insurance policy. I was admittedly short and terse with them since I truly believed I had a preauthorization. That was a 45 minute, back and forth waste of time, where the poor agent was subjected to me accusing them of pre-authorizing a procedure they would never cover in the first place (at least to the extent the dentist said they would). BEWARE WHEN CHOOSING THIS DENTIST AS THEY MAY NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO!

Multiple people had recommended this office to me over the years, and now I see why. I called because I was in severe tooth pain. They were quick to schedule me in *SAME DAY* and I got a tooth extracted in no time. Everyone in the office was quick, efficient, and kind. Later in the week I went back for another, and they were equally quick to schedule me in to relieve me of pain. I'd say this is the most accommodating dentist I've been to- they certainly don't make you sit in pain any longer than you have to. Notably, Katie at the front desk was extremely genuine- her personable customer service helped relieve my dentist anxiety as soon as I walked in the door. This was huge for someone with severe dentist anxiety / phobia like me. Thank you, Katie! I'd recommend this place to anyone, and for dental emergencies like I had to deal with, they are top notch.

Mark McComie likes to commit insurance fraud, he charge me for fillings on my #8 & #9 tooth when all he did was actually polish my teeth when I first came to him. Then he filed claims with my insurance company saying he filled my #8 tooth when all he did was throw desensitizer on my tooth because he overfiled my #8 tooth when he was in the process of filling my #7 tooth. And when he filed it down too much he made it sensitive (I didn't know was as sensitive until the numbing wore off) I verified this with his assistant while I was there that day because I felt it. So I took pictures of it when I got to my car and also when I got home so that I can have evidence to prove to Mark that he actually did file over on my #8 tooth But when I came to him with this information after a couple of weeks he tried to claim he didn't do it and that he runs and "HONEST COMPANY" and then he said he would fix it, well he quickly threw some desensitizer on it very sloppy, it took him less than a minute but in the process of polishing my tooth he chipped my #8 but I didn't know he did it until about a week later. When I felt it I thought it was just excess agent left on the tooth, but what makes him so horrible is he knew he did it and didn't tell me. You have to be a real horrible dentist to know you damaged someone teeth and not say anything, unless you purposely damaged that person's tooth. I don't know if he's a racist or he don't care how he treats people. Your not a good Dentist if you have to deleted all negative reviews on Google to make yourself look good. In addition we were told that the procedure would be billed first to our dental insurance, then Medicare and lastly our supplemental medical plan since it was a medical procedure. I've gone to highly rated dentists while living in California and will say Dr. Deena shaped two beautiful veneers that are far superior. They are perfect in shape and color while still looking very natural, unlike many veneers that lack that variance in color of natural teeth. She's an artist! Their dental assistant, Kendyll, is also highly competent and friendly. Donna in the front office is always so lovely to chat with and is on top of all the billing and insurance dealings. She does a great job explaining everything.  Alani Dental Center is very fair with pricing and has never tried to talk me into unnecessary treatments, unlike some dentists I've been to over the years. Because of that, Dr. Ankar actually came in on his day off specifically to evaluate what was going on. During that visit, he identified issues developing around two fillings I already had and made sure I was scheduled quickly to get everything taken care of. Today's visit was just as seamless. They are incredibly respectful of your time. The wait is minimal, they run on schedule, and you're not left sitting around wondering what's going on. That level of consideration alone sets them apart. From the moment you walk in, the tone is set perfectly. Tracie at the front desk is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. On the way out, she made sure everything was handled smoothly, and it's honestly refreshing to experience that level of customer service when so many places have let that standard slip. Megan was absolutely phenomenal. She has such a calming presence and takes the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. You can tell she truly cares about the patient experience, not just going through the motions. Her attention to detail, her professionalism, and the way she makes you feel completely at ease genuinely elevate the entire visit. She's a huge part of why the experience feels so comfortable and positive. Dr. Ankar, as always, was exceptional. He's steady, reassuring, and clearly very skilled. Everything was handled efficiently, and I felt completely confident in his care from start to finish. What means the most to me is this: I've been a patient here since 2017, and before that, I went nearly 19 years without seeing a dentist. I was absolutely terrified my entire life of going. Walking into that first appointment at 42 years old, I carried a lot of fear and embarrassment with me. From that very first visit, Dr. Ankar and his team completely changed that for me. Not once have I ever been made to feel ashamed. Instead, they made me feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. I'm 51, and that fear I carried for decades? Gone. Because of them, I don't dread going to the dentist anymore... I actually look forward to it!
