Immediately I was approached by an employee and told I needed to purchase the item ($24.99 strawberry squishy) because I had touched it. We continued to shop and upon checkout was forced to purchase the strawberry even though I disagreed. The majority of their toys are being touched by customers but I was singled out and made to purchase the additional item because we had touched one as well? Because my son and I aren't white like the rest of the employees and customers that were in the store? Terrible customer service! To make things better, there is not such policy on their corporate site.

This shop has both new and used books, along with some craft items from local sellers along the front windows. Though the sections for each genre are a little smaller there's a good selection of books to choose from. The shop is bright and airy with places to sit and read in a quiet space if you feel so inclined, and you just may be graced with the bookstore cat Luna's presence if you decide to do so. She was very sweet and made the experience all the better. Just make sure to heed the sign on the front door to not let her outside!
