I was told on march 19 that it was going on a lift to be worked on. When I talked to them on march 25 they said it hadn't been on a lift yet. Why lie to your customers. Why wouldn't they just tell me it would be over 6 weeks to even start working on it? Very rude and condescending. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs

I dropped my car off here for an oil change on a weekday. They had it ready in a couple hours. When I got home I realized they didn't place a reminder sticker on my windshield. I also saw that my car did not automatically reset the oil change life. I called and spoke with Brian. He was super helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable with me. He told me to stop by the next day & they would take care of everything. Well, he sure did. They actually ran out of stickers and he gladly placed one on the windshield for me. He also reset my oil life meter. I had a couple questions about my tires and he took time out to explain what I wanted to know. I'll be taking my vehicle here from now on is an understatement!

Poor Communication and Unprofessional Customer Service:…read more I don't normally leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my honest experience so others know what to expect. I originally spoke with someone named Chris earlier in the week about bringing in my vehicle for a diagnostic. He told me to "drop it off Wednesday," but no formal appointment was made -- no confirmation text, no email, no name taken, and nothing written down in front of me. Because of that, I assumed they were operating on a flexible drop-off basis, which is common with many repair shops. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it Wednesday due to being sick, so I dropped my car off early Thursday morning instead. Throughout the day, I called multiple times just to check whether they would be able to look at it. Each time, I was told nothing -- no update, no estimate, no clarity. I even told the front desk that if they couldn't get to it, I would gladly come pick it up so I wasn't taking up their space unnecessarily. When I finally spoke with Chris, the tone and attitude I received were extremely unprofessional. Rather than simply explaining that they were too busy to look at my vehicle, he blamed me repeatedly for them not being able to work on it -- even though no confirmed appointment was ever created, no system entry was made, and no communication was sent to me to establish a scheduled date. I acknowledged my mistake in not coming Wednesday or calling ahead, but the way the situation was handled was dismissive, rude, and lacked any basic customer service. A simple "We're booked today, we'll try for tomorrow" would have gone a long way. Instead, after leaving my car there all day with no updates, I received a message saying it was "ready for pickup" -- even though they never inspected it. The entire experience left me disappointed and feeling like my time and concerns weren't valued. I understand shops get busy and that I didn't arrive on the originally discussed day, but professionalism, communication, and courtesy should still be consistent. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope the shop takes this feedback seriously, because good service is as much about communication and respect as it is about repairs.

So I came to this business requesting help and the older female was very short, very rude, and condescending while I explained my situation. Never asked for any information about me or my vehicle just asked that I leave it with no promise to get to it because they were " booked full" to which I could understand. But I could not do such a thing with a child at daycare and a husband at Work. I had no alternative mode of transportation to be sure that I would get my child at the end of his day or get to him in the event of an emergency. My issue is not getting service immediately. I in no way feel entitled to demand same-day service. It was the attitude of the individual that was really offputting for someone who is the face of the business when you walk in. Next, she became very frustrated with what I was explaining, and she said they would not be able to get to my vehicle until Thursday. Which I replied we will be out of town then. She then said something along the lines of I don't even know I can't help you anymore and directed me to the person sitting behind the computer who also said "I don't know either. I just got here." The business had been open for nearly an hour at that point, it was almost 9 AM. The entire interaction was discouraging and borderline demeaning. Additionally, these people don't know who I was they never asked for my name or anything and at this point, I still have not received any email back about scheduling a potential appointment for service. I went down the street to Firestone anyways, and was helped immediately but people much nicer who talked to me with empathy and respect. Something I did not receive at great bridge auto.

As a mechanic it frustrates me dealing with shops that try to get over on the general public. I dropped my car off the night before for a simple state inspection. This means they literally had all day the next day to do a 15 minute job. I put on my work order that they could just call me when it was finished. Well the next day I didn't hear anything from them. Knowing they close at 5pm, at 4:40 I decided I better call. Here is how it went -high I am calling about my car -oh yeah it's done -don't you close in 20 minutes? -yeah, I was going to call you (really? When?) -I'm not sure I can make it there by 5. -you can pay over the phone and pick it up tomorrow (I guess they figure people don't need their cars back when they drop them off) -your car was rejected. The steering is "unsecured" and there is an exhaust leak "at the flange". We will have to "figure out how to fix it". So I dropped everything and went and picked up my car. Yep the steering was "unsecured". It had a bolt that was loose. One out of 5 bolts. It took 10 seconds to tighten it. I used an exhaust sniffer on the entire exhaust system and no leak was found. So I tightened the bolt and took it to a reputable shop where it passed without any issues. Obviously they didn't find the mysterious exhaust leak either This is the same new management that failed another car of mine for "loose exhaust hangers". These are the little indestructible rubber donuts that hold the exhaust to the frame. You can look at a 100 year old car and the originals are still fine. I took the car home. Cleaned up the hangers that were on the car and put amoral on them to make them shine. Took it back and said I replaced them and oddly enough it was now fine and the car passed. This reminds me of shops that need to "adjust" your headlights or it will be rejected. I used Back Bay because while not cheap, when Don owned it if he said something was wrong with your car you could bank on it and it was convenient. Now if my car breaks down in their parking lot I'll have it towed out rather than use them again.
