The person with whom I spoke understood how dangerous of a situation this was and a service person was scheduled that day. 2nd call was for electrical work--not urgent but they happened to be able to squeeze me in on the same day which was probably rare but amazing! Best parts of this experience: 1. Friendly and empathic front team who got me scheduled ASAP. 2. Text prior to the service person's arrival with their pic and some info to help personalize this 'stranger' 3. The service people themselves--extremely competent, focused, and very personable. Olson shows up and went through a very thorough diagnostic process to determine why my furnace doesn't want to furnace any longer. Turns out the control board was bad. Normally not the end of the world, these things happen. What became the real issue is that my furnace was old and getting a control board was going to be a problem. What my malingering furnace didn't realize is that Olson was on it! He apparently had a board that was an exact match that came from a tear out that had preformed the previous week. He set us up on emergency heat until the next day, when he showed up to install the replacement. Now he could have told me that I was just "duct" and that I would need a new furnace $$$$$. But that's now how they conduct themselves. Fast forward ten years. My AC stops working. Of course during a brutal Wisconsin summer. You know the ones where when you wake up the windows are completely covered in condensation, like it's raining. One call, that's all it took. Olson is in the job. Replaced my aging AC system with a great unit that was priced right. Needless to say we be chilling. I really cannot emphasize how thoughtful, thorough, and professional the work was completed. We have an infant and a cold snap was heading in, so I looked up community recommendations and everyone said to call Mike at Olson. I called and left a message explaining the issue. He called me back right away and said he could come take a look at the end of his day, that same day! He came and analyzed our furnace, and everything that was wrong with it. He was very honest and helpful, which I appreciate. Not a hard salesman, just trying to help our family make the best choice for us financially. Basically, we needed a new furnace. He couldn't get us in until a few days later(we were just surprised he had furnaces on hand!), so he reset the furnace to get us by until then. He installed the furnace in just a few hours, and it was working like a pro! But just a few days later, we noticed our room upstairs wasn't getting any hot air from the vent (our house is old and doesn't have enough vents as it is), so we called Mike. He came over that same day again and looked it all over. Turns out it was a simple fix and the heat started coming through the vents again. But that just shows you the attention he gives to each customer. We will definitely work with Mike on all heating issues going forward, whether it's this house, or the next.

If it wasn't registered at the time This stated warranty will not be honored. I thought my contractor let me down I thought they should have seen to it instead of expecting me to do it. Putting a new furnaces is a highly distracted Consumer experience And with the amount of money involved the contractor should be taking this responsibility. I tried to give him more business but I was just treated like they treat everybody else so I had to go to a different contractor. It's hard to get good info but people should check BBB and check datcp State of Wisconsin consumer protection. That's about all you can do because just about everybody's out to screw you one way or the other. You know unless you know somebody personally.

The owners were instructed that we needed to have our dryer vents brought "up to code" as most of the vents had become disconnected... and were venting somewhere inside the building.. but not venting out side the the building. Argh... a challenging task for sure. I called several companies to come out and give me an estimate. Every single company I called said "I will find your disconnect, but you are responsible for replacing your drywall, painting, etc" Not good news. Then... Ducts On Call came out... and they spent 4 hours researching... trying to figure out which vent was mine that exited out of the back of the building. But since every single dryer vent was disconnected in the interior of the building... there was NO way they could figure it out without tearing up the ceiling in mine, and my neighbors units. I was SO frustrated. But then Nick suggested we put in a new vent duct from my unit straight out the front of the building. It was my only option. He said we would need to schedule a time in the future... but I told him I needed it done in the next 3 weeks. He said... "I will make this happen for you" Well for starters... he DID NOT CHARGE ME for the 4 hours he spent trying to figure out which vent was mine. HE SAID... "I didn't solve the problem.. so I will not charge you" What?? 4 hours of your time for free?? Moving forward..... Nick and his crew came back 2 weeks later to install my NEW, up to code dryer duct on a new path out the front of my condo. I was SO not looking forward to having my ceiling ripped open to have the duct installed. So the day had come. Nick arrived before his scheduled time and he went to to work. I asked him... "How much of my ceiling do you need to open up?" He said... "I'm not opening your ceiling... I'm going to drill a hole in the exterior of your building, and slide the new duct straight back to your dryer connection" I was beside myself! I could go on and on... but let me tell you, this guy is the real deal!! He is incredibly gifted at what he does... super friendly... hard worker, and gets the shit done!! For what I thought was going to be a day of HELL... turned out to be a day of BLISS. I CAN NOT recommend this company any more than I do!! They were AMAZING... and the job was smooth, and quick, and so much easier than I dreamed it would be. Let me state again... that I called several companies to get the job done.... and these guys were one of the newer companies I called.... but I hit the jackpot!! Trust me!!
