It was busy for a Friday, with full parking lots at each venue on the complex and several large group tour busses. While there may be bigger markets in Amish country, this one is located on the grounds of the most beautiful complexes in Sugarcreek.

Lines were wrapped throughout the large market and I found myself weaving between carts and lines everywhere. There were several displays that I couldn't reach, but what I did get to was tempting! I browsed the extensive cheese and meat selections, all of the candy, and some of the baked goods in the center. I left with cheese curds, meat sticks, and a plastic clamshell of root beer barrels. I thought the prices were fair for the quality of the products. The store was massive and laid out in an organized way. They even had a seating area upstairs that I would love to come back and check out.

They are apparently now one of the largest manufacturers of swiss cheese in the US. When you enter, there is a shop which is a combination of gift shop, cheese accessories and grocery items. There is signage that shows off their awards, talks about some of their history and also takes about the difference between regular and baby swiss. The deli where you can get freshly sliced cheese is in the back. The clerks were extremely friendly answering questions and providing samples of anything you want to try. Much like the outside, the inside continues the swiss theme. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is the space itself. It was really congested even though it wasn't really all that crowded. I can't imagine what it would be like on a busier day. J don't know what, if anything can be done about this that, but it definitely can be hard yo navigate if you have mobility issues or don't like crowds. Oh and the cheese hats are a fun nice touch.
