First impression: Dirty, trash can over flowing, carpeted floor dirty. Out dated,needs to be…read morepainted. No TV's,no music. Only about 8 chairs to sit in,many customers just standing or waiting in there cars.Many out of service machines I counted 8 washers OOS and a couple of dryers.You have to load money on a card and tap the card to pay. No Quarters or bills excepted on machines. But to buy soap or dryer sheets it only takes quarters!? What the heck! Very cold inside, no heat,everyone was wearing their jackets inside. No attendant present, thankfully other customers helped me figure out how to use the card since instructions were lacking. The dryer only works in 10 min intervals, then you have to re start with your card for another 10 mins! Customers are stuck in a most inhospitable laundry mat,timing your own loads ( thats right,no count down timer for you or others to see when your load is done,but it won't be done you'll have to pay again) running over to tap your card every ten minutes on each dryer you use. If this is your best, this is not the profession for you. You are failing big time. The customers you should be serving deserve so much better.

I didn't pay attention to whether or not quarters were an option, as I don't like having to get cash, which I rarely carry, and change it to coins. There were a lot of machines, but the size of the place is deceptive because about 1/3 of the washers and 1/2 of the dryers are broken. This meant that even on a day when the place wasn't packed, I still had to watch like a hawk for a dryer because there just aren't enough for everyone. Either way, it's decent for what it is.

Called the phone number on the handwritten note that was taped to the window, and no one answered. This place is awful. You're basically on your own with no recourse if a machine breaks or the change machine eats your money. Will never be back here again.

Second time: easy drop off/not so easy pickup (slow-moving trainee who couldn't find one of my items so I had to go back. But we've all been new so understandable ). Approximately April 2024. Third time (today, 1/17/25): painful drop off with the woman who was a trainee in April. Still moving at snail speed and had to ask a colleague for help with a basic question posed by the person in front of me. When it was finally my turn to drop off some wool and cashmere sweaters, this happened: She looked at one sweater and said "is that dog hair?" I looked at the sweater, which maybe had a dozen dog hairs on it, and said yes. She then said dog hair makes her gag and someone else would need to take over, but that she was the only one there today. I told her that was an unfortunate condition to have in a job like hers. She then took it but tried to charge me extra for deep-cleaning it. I looked at her strangely and asked her to help me understand why that sweater, which had no more hair on it than any other (none of which had hardly anything) would require deep cleaning. This request defeated her, and she changed her mind about the extra charge. Conclusion - provided my sweaters are cleaned adequately this time I'll give Norman's another chance. But I'll be looking for another dry cleaner if the customer service continues trending downward

God forbid if it can break a $20. It can't. Don't bother kindly asking them to break anything larger than a $10 because the owner will sternly remind you that the sign above the store says LAUNDROMAT and not BANK. While true! Such bitter sarcasm Was not appreciated. The snide bank comment is ironic however because the prices for a simple single wash is $5.00. That does not include the guessing game for how much time you can buy on a dryer fit for a Keebler elf. (It's $0.25 for 5 minutes and the spin cycles on the washers are non-existent good luck). Adding further insult to injury is that the scam which is the washers and dryers. Set aside that they were likely new when Kennedy was President. They are laughably small and probably came from a submarine. Unless you're washing less than three socks you need to use 3-4 of these machines that may or may not work and certainly don't keep track of or return the numerous quarters you have to pump into them. So unless you enjoy sitting inside a business which is screaming that 1965 was the best year ever with the tension of being watched by your least favorite alcoholic uncle. Go anywhere else.
