"My" (although I've heard she sees other patients, too!) physical therapist, Julie, is the first therapist that seems to "get" that a PT program is useless if it overloads the patient such that they just won't practice it at home between appointments. She's the first therapist who I feel has heard ME and structured the number of reps and duration of the exercises to what I'M capable of following through with on a regular basis rather than taking a page out of some book and assigning "what they say is appropriate for my condition." So even when I "flake" and don't do my exercises for up to a few days in a row (yes, I admit I'm far from perfect), I always know that when I decide to go back to them, it won't be torture and I WILL be able to do them--and so I always end up getting back "into the groove" (which has not been the case at my other PT places up here, where I would just get discouraged and give up). The ladies at the front desk are all very bright, friendly and kind. When I get their VM, I can text them, or they call me back within a reasonable length of time. I'm (obviously) very pleased with SRVPT, and I highly recommend them.

Full review: I could write about all the visits I had, which by choice averages about 1 per week since 8/23/2020 but I want to focus on the experience and what you can look forward to. Acupuncture is more than just physical therapy, at least it is for me. It is working on my physical and mental wellbeing. It is pampering yourself in a good way. If you get getting electro acupuncture, the muscle twitch feels like getting a massage from within the muscles. Once the needles are in place, it becomes an amazing opportunity to get a quick nap or practice meditation. If often use the time to meditate. You can "2 birds with one stone" in healing both the mind and body. You will quickly realize how everything in interconnected within the body. If this is your first time here are 5 things to know: 1. People often are afraid of needles because we imagine the shots we get at the doctor's office. This is completely different. You really don't feel much during the needle placement. If it's your first few times, she will explain the kinds of sensations to look out for. In short, pinchy is not good while a dull ache is. 2. She is also a licensed herbalist as well. Natural herbs and acupuncture walk hand in hand. 3. She explains everything well from what she is doing to why she is doing it. The attention to detail is impressive. 4. As I mentioned in the beginning, she really does want to see you get well. She takes detailed notes about you every time you see her. 5. Trust is extremely important and Sarrah is amazing at making sure you are always comfortable and most importantly, safe. Fact is 3, 4 and 5 can be said about the entire staff of SC Sports Therapy. Dr. Steve is my chiropractor. Once I have a few more visits with him, I will do a full review for Dr. Steve but I can tell you that he is to chiropractic care what Sarrah is to acupuncture, nothing short of exemplary.

She ultimately helped me achieve my goals. I also saw Dr. Victoria postpartum. She helped me safely rebuild my strength so I could work toward my goal of getting back to running. Throughout this entire journey, she was always super positive and extremely encouraging. I also did both prenatal and postpartum pilates with Mika. She is wonderful as well! She is very knowledgeable and attentive. She has played a huge role in helping me regain my strength after having a baby. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Dr. Victoria, Mika and the Ironhorse Physical Therapy & Pilates team. I highly recommend them and encourage all women who are pre and postpartum to seek pelvic floor physical therapy from this team.

Things I'd been neglecting for years without realizing how much they mattered for trail running. The exercises are simple, efficient, and easy to fit into a busy week, and I can genuinely feel the difference on technical terrain. My legs and knees feel more stable, and my body holds up better on long runs. Just as important, the staff are encouraging and clearly understand endurance athletes. They get that the goal isn't just to heal but to keep doing what you love for years to come. I'm now training for my next 50K with a lot more confidence. Highly recommended for any runner, especially those of us over 40 who want to stay strong and injury-free.
