Called Rick Jones at Garrett and he said he would take a look at it if I brought it to him. I told him that the car would not start and the transmission would not shift out of gear into neutral, his response was "well that's not my problem." It took me several months to figure out how to disengage the transmission to tow it to him, he then charged me $130 to "diagnose" that it wasn't their fault, AND that I was very mistaken, there was no way the smoke came from the steering column, that it came from the dash and I wasn't smart enough to know the difference. Long story short, I took it to another mechanic who fixed it within 3 days very reasonably and the cause of the electrical fire was "the ignition wiring harness was not put back in the correct location & shortened out on tilt linkage." So if you like to be treated like crap and told that you don't know what you are talking about then definitely go there!

Let me start off by saying, I am a young woman and people try to take advantage of my naive looking face but larry and michelle didnt, even when it wouldve been so easy to. I strolled up to the shop at the end of the evening and Larry took time to diagnose my problem, quote me and even help me find a place to stay the night, all for free. It took 3 days just to fix the problem, and he managed to find me a new transmission in the next town over, while Michelle worked hard to deal with my sh*tty warranty company. To make a long story short, they fixed my problem AND managed to get the company to cover it, even though it was a tough battle! I am new to the whole truck-owner thing, and I felt very well taken care of. He explained everything in detail and he really knew his stuff. (He took the truck for a diagnostic run and knew the problem 500 feet from the shop). He was very thorough with the work and you can just tell he is a great guy, and very hard working. What was great is that being stranded in a remote place like this, they really helped us not just with the car, but surviving there for days. And here is something you dont find with most mechanics: at the end of such an awful and stressful ordeal, we still keep in touch like ol' friends. Moral of the story: LARRY'S SERVICE CENTER= HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! You will NOT regret it!! Hands down!!

Would not recommend this place for any one if you want an expensive short term fix. Another time our car was brought in because it had a stability trac service needed, supposedly it needed a whole new engine. Well they had it for about 5 months before we got it back, and about a month or so of having it the engine seals went out on it. 100% don't recommend.

They have a minimal convenience selection but seemingly adequate. Their gas prices seemed very reasonable compared to the rest of the state. Also, the actual location is near the intersection of highways 2 & 91.
