Had Garrett Tires & Treads in Broken Bow replace an ignition in my car, within a few months my car…read morehad smoke pouring from the steering column and it wiped out all electronics, and would not start. Called Rick Jones at Garrett and he said he would take a look at it if I brought it to him. I told him that the car would not start and the transmission would not shift out of gear into neutral, his response was "well that's not my problem." It took me several months to figure out how to disengage the transmission to tow it to him, he then charged me $130 to "diagnose" that it wasn't their fault, AND that I was very mistaken, there was no way the smoke came from the steering column, that it came from the dash and I wasn't smart enough to know the difference. Long story short, I took it to another mechanic who fixed it within 3 days very reasonably and the cause of the electrical fire was "the ignition wiring harness was not put back in the correct location & shortened out on tilt linkage." So if you like to be treated like crap and told that you don't know what you are talking about then definitely go there!

Last year they overfilled my tank and it popped the relief valve snd sprayed propane for 2 days, we had to evacuate my shop. In the end I'm glad, my family has been buying propane from them for a very long time, and since this I've done some price checking and found out they are .45c a gallon more than there competitor on propane. So I guess this was a blessing, I'll be letting all my neighbors know as well who currently use trotters propane.

The price was very reasonable and I highly recommend them.

I desperately started calling local auto dealers for help - the Ford dealer was closed but Gateway Motors was still open. Nick from their service department hopped in his truck and came over to jump the Jeep, but soon figured out the starter was gone and towed it in. With only a half hour until closing at noon, they IDed some other serious issues that needed addressing but would have to wait until parts came in the following week. Long story short, they gave me a loaner to make ALL of my appointments for the next two weeks while the Jeep got good. Nick, Wayne, Elizabeth and Rachael were all fantastic and incredibly helpful to a stranger in need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND contacting Gateway Motors if you're stranded in Broken Bow!!!

Let me start off by saying, I am a young woman and people try to take advantage of my naive looking face but larry and michelle didnt, even when it wouldve been so easy to. I strolled up to the shop at the end of the evening and Larry took time to diagnose my problem, quote me and even help me find a place to stay the night, all for free. It took 3 days just to fix the problem, and he managed to find me a new transmission in the next town over, while Michelle worked hard to deal with my sh*tty warranty company. To make a long story short, they fixed my problem AND managed to get the company to cover it, even though it was a tough battle! I am new to the whole truck-owner thing, and I felt very well taken care of. He explained everything in detail and he really knew his stuff. (He took the truck for a diagnostic run and knew the problem 500 feet from the shop). He was very thorough with the work and you can just tell he is a great guy, and very hard working. What was great is that being stranded in a remote place like this, they really helped us not just with the car, but surviving there for days. And here is something you dont find with most mechanics: at the end of such an awful and stressful ordeal, we still keep in touch like ol' friends. Moral of the story: LARRY'S SERVICE CENTER= HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! You will NOT regret it!! Hands down!!
