My wife and I were passing through Ottawa on a 4,000 mile cross country road trip to see our…read morepregnant daughter. Sunday evening, after Highway-side mishap amidst a stormy, we needed a key part to keep our cross country road trip moving forward and alive. On a hit and humid Sunday evening, Manny at Advanced Auto answered the call, did some leg work, and found the parts at a nearby store that could be delivered. The local Chevy dealer couldn't source the critical parts we needed anywhere from three surrounding states. Early Monday morning, Ben helpfully and humorously placed our order. By mid-afternoon, with some proactive assistance and a tremendous sense of levity (a key and often missing ingredient to help) from John, the order was tracked, arrived and handed over for pick-up. John went beyond the extra mile to ensure we got what we needed and where we needed, which allowed us to continue on our journey. We highly recommend this location and, because of teams like this, Advance Auto Parts as a go-to resource for critical auto parts needs. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

Had Garrett Tires & Treads in Broken Bow replace an ignition in my car, within a few months my car…read morehad smoke pouring from the steering column and it wiped out all electronics, and would not start. Called Rick Jones at Garrett and he said he would take a look at it if I brought it to him. I told him that the car would not start and the transmission would not shift out of gear into neutral, his response was "well that's not my problem." It took me several months to figure out how to disengage the transmission to tow it to him, he then charged me $130 to "diagnose" that it wasn't their fault, AND that I was very mistaken, there was no way the smoke came from the steering column, that it came from the dash and I wasn't smart enough to know the difference. Long story short, I took it to another mechanic who fixed it within 3 days very reasonably and the cause of the electrical fire was "the ignition wiring harness was not put back in the correct location & shortened out on tilt linkage." So if you like to be treated like crap and told that you don't know what you are talking about then definitely go there!
