We like the doctor but we found another doctor closer to us. The office recently sent me an invoice for a visit my husband did 4 years ago. A $1k bill. We always have a great healthcare and this is definitely not acceptable. I called them 3 times to discuss. And never received a call back. Is this a scam??? So annoying. Updates- Someone finally called and she was rude and told me because she started back in Feb she couldn't really answer why they just billed me 4 years later. How ridiculous it is. I've been trying for two days to get a response and treatment scheduled for my father. It takes one phone call, and we've been waiting for two days as he gets sicker and sicker. When I called to inquire of the status of our request, the receptionist was rude and short with me and insisted they were "probably" working on it. I'm not sure what "work" there is to do on a phone call. This is extremely frustrating. My parents both love Dr. Trotter, but the support staff in the office obviously needs to make some improvements on response time and general customer service. I will also be forwarding a complaint directly to Dr. Trotter. read more

I just had a terrible experience after having waiting 6 weeks to get in to see a new doctor, Dr. Brooks Trotter, an internist in Grapevine. DO NOT EVER VISIT HIM OR THE GRAPEVINE INTERNAL MEDICINE CENTRE. The staff is among the rudest and most unprofessional I have ever encountered in any medical office. I was treated abominably today, when I attempted to see Dr. Trotter. When I explained that I had a whole host of prescriptions for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc., that I had no more of, and that I was afraid I might die if they forced me to reschedule my appointment, the nurse, Anna, who I was speaking to on the phone when I called to let them know that I had been throwing up as I tried to leave for my appointment and would be 15 minutes late, told me, "That's not our problem. You are a new patient, and that's not our responsibility." "But I'll die without these," I pleaded with her. "You are a new patient, and we are not responsible for that," was her reply. I told her I would be there in 3 minutes, and we could speak in person. When I arrived, they pulled me into an office manager's office, a woman named Jen. I noticed several signs on the wall that said that loud and angry behavior would not be tolerated, and I wondered what kind of business this was that they had that kind of problem so frequently it required a sign. I was soon to find out. Jen had on her desk perhaps the most unprofessional item I've ever seen for a person who is supposed to deal with patients and defuse situations. It was a hand grenade with a number "1" attached to it, and it said, "Complaints department. Take a number." Pretty funny, unless you've been treated like trash by other staff and left to die, in which case, it hardly seems appropriate. I explained to Jen that I become violently ill when I get out of bed, and that this has been happening for years and has utterly destroyed my life. That's the very reason I was going to see a new doctor. I told her I was throwing up when I was getting ready to leave, had to lay down multiple times to start feeling better (because I was fasting for them all day, even though that's dangerous for a diabetic like me, and that makes my stomach problems even worse), so I was a little late, and that this was likely to happen again any time I had an appointment, because that's the nature of my illness. She said she'd check with the doctor to see if he could squeeze me in. She walked off, then came back and said, "Nope. We'll have to reschedule you." So I asked her what I was supposed to do to avoid dying from lack of vital medication in the meantime, since I had literally one pill left of each of my blood pressure medications. She suggested going to the emergency room or seeing if another physician would call the prescriptions in for me, since Dr. Trotter was refusing to see me. She told me to go up front to reschedule my appointment. I walked up to the lady who was handling rescheduling, though I didn't get her name. When I told her I needed to reschedule a new appointment, she asked if I had spoken with the doctor about it. I said that I had just gotten done talking to the office manager and she told me to come around to the window and schedule a new appointment. So, the scheduling lady walked into the office managers office for about 5 seconds, walked back out, and said, "Sorry, but we have an office policy that a new patient is late to their first appointment, we will not see them, ever again." I told her that was bizarre. I was just told to reschedule my appointment, and that this was the most unprofessional behavior I had ever seen in a medical office. She then informed me that if I was professional, I'd be at my appointments in a timely fashion. I informed her that I was sick and vomiting when I was trying to leave to come to my appointment, and then I left, flabbergasted. My mom is a doctor who knows Dr. Trotter, too! This is how they treat the families of other physicians at this so-called clinic! Anyway, I've looked up the rules of the Texas Medical Board and found multiple violations this doctor and his staff committed through this egregious course of conduct. I'm examining next steps to take against them. I definitely would not put my life or health in such callous and unprofessional hands. read more

Dr Trotter has been my primary care physician (internal medicine) for over 10 years. I find him to be very thorough and competent. He seems to keep up well with new developments in medicine. The wait times are always good, and his staff are very friendly, helpful, and highly skilled in each of their jobs. I also appreciate getting copies of my pathology reports within days of his receiving them. I highly recommend Dr Brooks Trotter to anyone looking for an internal medicine doctor in the Grapevine area. read more

Worst Dr experience and Dr ever in my life. For starters, If you are looking into walking into a Drs Office that is set back to 1980? This is it. No Medical technology except a fax. No Emails. Moved from San Diego. Even community clinics back home use medical technology programs. Was feeling really ill. Looked for a PCP. I took the appt. Came in expressed my concerns, mentioned I had been misdiagnosed few years bk with Lupus. This douche of a Dr had the nerve to add 10 years to my actual age cynically said it was an age issue. Insulted me by saying to lose weight I can't eat past 12pm. #BoyBye When I went in there for serious symptoms. Got bloodwork drawn. Refused to give me an excuse note for work that covered my absence. Told me, I needed ER for a note. BS. I get called 2wks later w my test results told me my tests came bk with (Mild Lupus) that my results would get mailed. That was April. (No Medical Technology) in 2019. It's June, till this day I never received my lab tests nor got a call for treatment. Luckily, I trust my instincts. I made another immediate appt a week after in April. I found an excellent Dr in Grapevine through Texas Health Resources. 180 degrees of a difference in Service, Respect, Professionalism, Technology Back to the Future 2019, CARE, and upmost Nice Clinic and Dr Group. Turns out I got Chronic Disease. This Dr Trotter Douche had the nerve to be so cynical and racist. Assuming racial profiling of health issues. May he reincarnate his next lifetime in a person of color and get disrespected. #Karma read more

Dr. Trotter has been my primary physician for the last 20 years. Over that time, I have received the care and attention that I had not received from any other physician previously. Dr. Trotter is board certified in Internal Medicine which puts him far and above the average practitioner. He takes his time during examinations and makes sure that there are no outstanding issues prior to concluding the visit. His office also sends out copies of lab work performed with his comments on any further actions required. When it came time for my colonoscopy, Dr. Trotter recommended me to the gastroenterologist that he used which gave me an extra level of comfort for what is typically a stressful expectation. I would trust his referral to any other specialist without qualification. The staff is very professional and helpful, and appointments run on time. I could not offer a better recommendation than Dr. Trotter. He's the best! read more

My wife and I relocated to this area 17 years ago and chose Dr. Trotter as our primary care physician. We have been very pleased with his medical care and are still with him. He has managed our care several times when we've been hospitalized for surgery or illness engaging appropriate specialists as needed. When I had a stroke 8 years ago and was hospitalized, he provided an excellent neurologist whom I still see on an annual basis. On another occasion, Dr. Trotter noted a small anomaly on my resting EKG, and referred me for a nuclear stress test where they discovered blockages in the coronary arteries before I developed any symptoms. As a result, they have been able to treat it early and avoid complications. We have found Dr. Trotter to be very professional, thorough and responsive. He is patient and addresses any concerns and answers any questions we have. He never makes us feel rushed. Any patient should feel comfortable consulting him and discussing medical care options. Dr. Trotter also provided primary care for my wife's parents who were in their 80s at the time. We trust him to manage our overall health care and recommend him highly if you are seeking a primary care physician. read more
