Smoothies lacked flavor and also the girls working there were not polite. We did leave a tip also, which we did not have to since it's just over the counter ordering. I am guessing the cashier did not like the amount. After we paid she whispered something to the girl making the smoothies and they both looked over at us. When we were leaving I thought I saw her 'hand gesturing' something, I could be wrong but I think I'm correct because the girls laughed. So glad I tried this place! The smoothies are fantastic! The flatbread sandwiches they make are very good and have a good amount of white meat chicken on them. Very impressed with the quality of the food. The people working here are very friendly, polite and the service is quick and efficient. This is my go to for breakfast smoothies and lunch. Love the Island Green Smoothie. Place is always clean. I'm impressed and they have a loyal customer in me. The receipts give you the opportunity to get a $1.99 smoothie with a quick survey. My second time coming here and it's still good. I usually come here for lunch when I'm on the go and I want something light and refreshing. Blimey Limey and the Peach ones are my faves and I usually add a fat burner as well. You can't even taste it added in. No after taste. I'd like to think I am a pretty savvy shopper of all things Tropical Smoothie Cafe, so it's high time I write a review of this place. This particular one in Yulee is steps away from where I work, so it's only fitting that I give it another try (more on that in a few). Interestingly enough, there was another one within minutes of where I previously worked where the associates knew me by name, so I expect the same pretty soon here. Anywho, I walked in and was greeted by a pleasant associate, Erin. She was VERY friendly even late in the evening, and smiled the whole time. I was kinda indecisive on what I really wanted and she made some suggestions, including what I ordered, the Bahama Mama smoothie. I had mentioned that the first time I tried this place someone had forgotten to put peanut butter in the Chia Banana Boost and it was DISGUSTING. Erin profusely apologized as if it were she that made the smoothie; I thought that was pretty kind of her. A gentleman that was cleaning, Steve, overheard me and agreed about the disgusting smoothie, and we laughed, but when Erin said, "I'm glad you decided to give us another try; we've gotten much better since we've opened," that truly meant a lot to me. I'm a sucker for good customer service and she was the perfect example of it. I'm drinking my Smoothie as I write this review because I was determined to give Erin my praise and kudos. Hopefully some higher-ups read this as well and realize what a GREAT associate you have in Erin. read more

We paid 40.00 for 2 bowls an 2 smoothies. One order was wrong where additional chicken was paid for and not there.No sides delivered. The bowls themselves were 1/3 full . Amount of food for the money was very disappointing. I will say however that the food , what there was of it was very good. Overall order was worth 15.00. This is the worst managed Tropical Smoothie I have been to. The service was terrible. I called my order in and when I got there I had to wait 30 minutes for my order. The manager had to be only 18 if that and they did not apologize for the wait. They intentionally skipped over me because they knew I was already upset about my order not even submitted to the queue for making. I vowed I would never go back to this location and it has been 2 years and I have not been back. When I emailed several people about this in the corporate email chain, I only received a $5 gift card and I never used it. I love the smoothies at Tropical. The new Watermelon Mojito is delicious. I like it with half the sugar. I have tried many flavors and still love a Blimey Limey. This is a smoothie shop that also does salads, wraps, and sandwiches. It's healthy fast food, basically, and for what it is, it's pretty good. I had the Detox Island Green Smoothie and a Supergreen Caesar Salad. The smoothie was a bit strange tasting at first, but it grew on me. The salad was a pretty standard fast food salad, some of the leaves were browning. We also tried the Thai wrap and the Caribbean Jerk wrap. Both of those were yummy. The restaurant itself is small but doesn't feel crowded, and kept pretty clean with a fun "Island" theme. The staff were nice and professional. You get your sandwiches with a piece of fruit or a bag of chips from a stand against the wall, which took us a second to catch on. I definitely will return and try out some of their other smoothie flavors. They are running a promotion where if you fill out a survey at the bottom of your receipt, you get a discounted smoothie with an entree purchase next time, so look out for that! read more
