I don't purchase smoothies too often mainly because I can make them at home for fraction of the cost and I know exactly what I'm putting in to my smoothies, but today I decided to go to smoothie king. I went mainly for convenience. I wanted something quick which didn't require me to clean up after creating. I got the mango fest which in hindsight had a far amount of carbs. I probably should have opted for more of a greener smoothie, but regardless it was pretty tasty. I've frequently patronized this particular establishment and was disappointed with my most recent purchase of three smoothies totaling $23.56. My initial disappointment was with the subpar smoothies that had to be returned, but I thought that could be fixed with a little training. No, my biggest disappointment was with the handling of the discrepancy. There was was no management available in store or via telephone to assist and I was told to come back the next day. Of course I asked for the managers business card and his/her next available day to address the issue and offer a refund. To make a long story short, I'm on day two, three trips, and several phone calls of attempting to resolve the issue with what I would think would be a simple refund. Manager is either late, a no show, or is requesting me to come up between the hours of 10am -2pm which inconveniences me since I work on the opposite side of town. I went to this smoothie king for one child's smoothie. There was one person in and out before me... and one after. It was just my son and I. I ordered and the cashier was nice. I went to wait for my smoothie and there is one lady making smoothies. I see her make a smoothie... she then proceeds to pour herself a little sample Of the smoothie she just made and walk away toward the counter. I'm stilling waiting. A few minutes go by and now I'm feeling frustrated because no one is in the store and I'm just standing here waiting. Finally - the cashier notices that I'm still standing there and walks over to blender where my smoothie was made and pours it and hands it to me. She doesn't say sorry or anything. The other girl who just made the smoothie, sampled it, and walked away, noticed and she just did not care at all in the slightest that she had forgotten to give me my smoothie. Not a sorry. Excellent service. There was only one person working but she tended to each of us like we were very important people even though she took someone else's order before mine. The quality and choice of selection is limitless there. I didn't like that I had to wait to make my order and the worker took their orders before mine. She clearly saw me come in and asked me to wait but still took their order before mine. I did see one person leave and say it was taking her to long to get her order. The customer service at this location is typically mediocre, but on Saturday, May 30th, it was deplorable. I placed an order online for curbside pickup. I was advised that the order would be ready at 1:49 PM. Upon arrival, the store was very crowded (no social distancing whatsoever and only a few of the patron were wearing masks). After calling 8 times, someone finally answered the phone and advised that I would need to COME IN and get my order because they were busy and my order wasn't ready yet. I told the associate (Cody) that I wasn't wearing a mask and was unable to come into the store. He proceeded by asking me if I was sick. Now, during this pandemic, that is a violation of my privacy. I responded by advising him that I ordered curbside for a reason. His response to me was "OH MY GOD!" So, I politely asked for a refund and he told me that I would have to come in and get the refund because he didn't have time. I told him, again, that I was unable to come into the store. He told me that it would be 10 minutes before he could come out to get my credit card to issue a refund. 16 minutes later I received my refund, without an apology. I requested contact information for the manager and he brought the information back on a piece of receipt paper, and the writing was barely legible. I emailed the manager (using the customer feedback information on the receipt) and the "alleged" manager advised that Cody shouldn't have provided the refund, as that was typically the manager's responsibility. He also stated that I should have received my fulfilled order, in spite of the refund request. So, since the refund had been issued, the only thing that he could do was offer an apology. I will NOT be patronizing this location again! read more

We have been regular customers for a couple of years now, but unfortunately, the service at this location has gone under! My husband waited over 30 minutes for 2 small smoothies with only 2 small orders ahead of his... soon he noticed that several customers who had placed orders *after his were handed their smoothies while his was left in the blender for a long period of time. He nicely asked about this, and was ignored (except for the skinny worker with bright green eye shadow...--she was laughing and mocking my husband for asking about his order. This is why she will likely always be stuck at a minimum wage job...). At this point, we asked for a refund and were told that they don't give refunds!! LOL!
