This place is located inside the LA Fitness. It's one of the only smoothie places in the area that…read moreis open late during the weekdays only (since the gym is open late) and you don't need a gym membership to purchase from them. The nice thing they do is they always give you the extra leftover smoothie in a smaller cup instead of wasting it. They only accept credit card payments over $10 but they have a tab system so they can charge for 2 smoothies and you can come back later and collect the smoothie they owe you which is convenient. The smoothie consistency is not as smooth as what you would get at other smoothie places and can still taste very tiny chunks of ice all throughout the smoothie. I asked them what brand of blender they used and it's a Hamilton Beach commercial blender which seems like a regular home blender and doesn't seem as powerful as a Vitamix or Blendtec blenders. Apparently they also stop serving smoothies an hour before the gym closes to clean up which is odd for a business to turn away paying customers if that happens. Other than that the smoothies taste great and very friendly staff!

OH HOW CONVENIENT :-) I had just finished my workout and had…read morethe biggest craving for an Açaí Bowl! Upon opening my handy Yelp app I saw that Body Fuel was nearby and it would only take me about 5min to get there- AWESOME! Now this was not my first time at this location, but this is my first review. Body Fuel strategically sits in a plaza right next to "Crunch" fitness on the corner of Bloomingdale and Lithia Pinecrest. It's easy to find and the business logo is pretty easy to spot. Parking isn't difficult to find, but just know there are a lot of parked cars there starting with the "Crunch" customers; so it gets really packed! Overall I really-really like this smoothie shop and the products that they offer; and as I've said before this is not my first time here but their Açaí bowls are so delicious and filling that I can't stop coming back! The price point for the large bowl that I ordered rounds up to about 10 bucks (still worth the money). Their refrigerators are usually stocked with a variety of prepared meal bowls for anyone who needs to make a quick stop for some food as well. Oh and customer service is always friendly there :-D It's definitely been worth my drive and I am fully satisfied with my Brazilian Açaí Bowl topped with honey and Nutella- yu I'll be back Body Fuel- thanks!

I used to go to the Bloomingdale location in Brandon and the one near my office on Kennedy Blvd in Tampa. My favorite smoothie was the Caribbean Way because I love a good mixture of bananas, strawberries, and papaya juice. It's so tropical! Well, I decided to try the Green Tea Tango this time. I've been on a matcha green tea kick lately and it sounded great. You can add an ingredient to this smoothie. I originally chose mango and wasn't too thrilled with the mixture. It was also too sweet. So, I went back a week later and had it blended with bananas and made it skinny. You can make any of their smoothies skinny (by removing the turbinado) just by asking them to do it. It cuts down on the sugar and fat content. It was perfect. The natural sweetness of the banana made this matcha green tea smoothie perfect for me. I was also very happy with the service. They are quick and efficient. Then again, I was the only one in there so I didn't have to wait in line. I can say that I've never had a bad experience at this location. The prices are comparable to other smoothie bars nearby. Smoothie King seems to have a better selection of blends, but the quality and freshness of their ingredients is debatable. I'd go back for the Green Tea Tango.
