This place literally ALWAYS messes up my order in some way. I used to freaking love this place but the last 4 times Ive gone, my order has been messed up. Don't charge me for Nutella if you aren't going to put it on my açai bowl!!!! I understand they were shortage of employees and they were handling online orders, in-person orders, and drive thru. I suggest if they are in short of employees they should only allow to handle one option of ordering and shut down the other options of ordering. Beside a shortage of employees my order came out frozen. I ordered an acai bowl and I wasn't able to eat it right away because it was frozen. I love this place. It's very clean. The staff is so friendly and so nice. They even have a drive thru. AMAZING- it tastes like a a massive frozen capri sun pouch (strawberry kiwi flavor). I would absolutely order again. I have never had a bad experience at this tropical smoothie cafe. The staff here are top notch, always having my order ready when I come pick it up. The quesadilla? Fire. Huge chunks of tender grilled chicken, cheese, queso blanco, and when you dunk in the salsa verde?? Better than a 3-pointer from the half court line. The maple sweet potatoes are the best side in my opinion, they're tender and slightly smoky, slightly sweet, with hints of maple flavor that make me want to buy a sweet potato farm. read more

Tropical smoothie will always get my vote for the best smoothie joint, and I'll always recommend it. Their smoothie flavors are on point. However this particular trip the smoothie wasn't as consistent and good as I am used to. The best way to explain it is it was "icy" and wasnt "smooth" like a smoothie should be. I could hardly get it through the straw. I needed a spoon to finish it off because I was always having to re-position the straw to get anything to come through the straw. I have faith they will make up for it next time! I've had a lot of blimey likey smoothies and chia banana boost peanut butter smoothies from here and this one just didn't measure up. They have great, tasty food choices as well. I love their food because their sandwich combos are unique and I'm always debating on trying like 4 different ones because they all sound good. First time trying this place out. I had the Detox Green smoothie. My first sip blew my mind. It was delicious. Texture, balance of ingredients and temperature were perfect. I could taste every ingredient. Sometimes it's not a good balance and you can taste more of an ingredient than the others. I really like they serve one size, it's smart. I love tropical smoothie cafe! I used to go there all the time for lunch when I worked in draper so I make sure to stop by whenever I'm in the area. They're located in a nice location if you need to run to the gym, or bank, or grocery store real quick as well. I usually always get their açaí berry boost smoothie. They are nice sized and can be a nice meal replacement as well. My only complaint is that they only offer a kids sized smoothie and the large 24 oz size. I wish their was a medium 16 oz size. It's easier to digest and get the best of their food and smoothie options that way. I also get their kids sized grilled cheese. Half of a large tortilla. Enough to fill an adult and especially if you get a smoothie on top of it. Friendly staff as well! read more

Second, this place is only 9 minutes from where I live. You got to love their healthy smoothie. You can sit at the bar and watch them put all the real fruit and vegetables into the blender. Unlike Jamba Juice which they mostly use "fruit" juices. Another plus is that one giant smoothie for $4.99. I always order the island green because it tastes delicious for a all green smoothie! The only problem that I had was weird closing hours. In the beginning, they changed the hour without update the time on Yelp and sometime they closed early. I work right behind this place and we all received coupons (99 cent 24 oz. smoothie with purchase of any wrap, sandwich, flatbread, or salad). So me and two co workers decided to come check it out considering we walk right through the drive-thru on our way to macey's all the time. They have smoothies, wraps, sandwich, flatbread, and salads. I went with a salsa breakfast wrap which has ham, egg, pepper jack cheese, and salsa. I also got the Island Green smoothie which has: spinach, kale, mango, pineapple & banana. I absolutely love them both. The lady inside asked how we liked our smoothies and we all told her they were delicious. My fiancée and I love this place. Along with Laid Back Poke shack, it's slowly becoming one of our go-to places for when we're craving something on the lighter side. Previously, for our smoothie fixes, we'd head over to Jamba Juice. Don't get me wrong; I still like Jamba but for one, this place is closer to us, and two, we can actually eat dinner here. Yes, you heard that right. In addition to a good assortment of smoothies, this place offers wraps, sandwiches, salads, flatbreads and tacos. Before I get into the food offered here, I should go over the smoothies they have. Their smoothies are classified into 4 different categories: superfood, classic, supercharged, and indulgent. You can also add supplements, such as vitamins and whey protein, and other fresh add-ins, such as whole grain oats and flax seed. We've had a couple of their superfood smoothies and their indulgent smoothies, and they were delicious. My fiancée's favorite smoothie is the island green, while mine is the caribbean c-burst. For food, we were pleasantly surprised to see how many things they offered. Usually, for a smoothie place, food choices are a little limited, but this place seems to want to break out of the typical smoothie place mold. We've had some of their wraps and sandwiches, and were not disappointed. They also have breakfast style wraps that are served all day. How many smoothie places can claim to offer Korean BBQ steak tacos? I think it's awesome that you can actually get a decent meal here. I can't finish this review off without mentioning their cookies. They offer snicker doodle and chocolate chip cookies, and they were great. They're definitely not the best cookies I've had, but as you can see from one of my pictures, the chocolate chips were perfect, melty goodness. The only negatives I have are: 1) Smoothies are only offered in 24oz, and no smaller 2) One of our snicker doodles was slightly frozen, but a quick nuke in the microwave helped to resolve that 3) Only 2 workers at a time, so sometimes it seems they're a little overwhelmed If you're looking for some lighter fare for lunch/dinner, head over and check this place out. i really dislike writing bad reviews, but want to share my experience. i pulled up to the drive through, placed my order quickly and sat behind a car i had seen was there for a bit. i waited behind him about 10 mins, saw that he left without getting his food, and i pulled up to the window. i sat there another 15 mins without even paying or receiving my smoothie. nobody came to the window. there was a line of cars behind me, and i could hear they were laughing and joking with the person taking orders. i left without getting my order too. i understand most places are short staffed, and want to be considerate of that, but this was something else. not a great experience! :( read more

We came back to this place twice while visiting family and friends in the area. Why? It's so refreshing to find fast food that has some nutrition. Also, I have many food allergies, so not just any smoothie will do. I can't have dairy, soy, or almond, which is usually your choices for liquid in a smoothie. Well, it was awesome to find out that here they do all fruit and veggie and only use water as the liquid! We even asked about the kid's smoothie and they said they add a little bit of sugar, but then offered to leave it out if we wanted. Loved that! A huge plus is that it's not only the smoothies that are delicious, but the sandwiches are too! You just can't go wrong.
