I didn't know what açaí was until my nieces told me so then I looked up places to get some and off we went to South Jordan I've never had it before so I can't compare but I got it with chia pudding no granola and some fruits like strawberries and blueberries with a drizzle of agave and almond butter Smack af! I have been to several acai places in California and throughout Utah, Rio Acai is hands down the best! The employees are kind, knowledgeable and fast. The acai is delicious and with having preset bowls you can order and also build your own there's lots of possibilities without feeling overwhelmed. The only thing that keeps me from giving them 5 stars is that every time I order pao de queijo I have to wait like 10 minutes, it must either not be ordered very often so they don't keep it on hand or it is ordered very often so they always run out. OMG the açaí bowls are heaven. Probably the best açaí bowls I have had. All the base flavors are really good. The toppings were all fresh. So many topping to choose from (most fruit options, toasted coconut, coconut flakes, agave, honey, condensed milk, protein powders, chia seeds, peanut butter, etc) We tried the custom bowls and they were fantastic. The ordering process is easy. They have 6 tried and true basics or you can create your own. I choose the brand new Energy Bowl. The Açaí is stored and presented like you're in a ice cream shop, then there's the fresh berries and chopped fruit you can add and dry items you can add like granola, hemp hearts, chia seeds etc... Lastly there's to 6 squeeze bottles of sauce. I choose the peanut butter but wished I kept it fruity with the guava. There are restrooms and lots of lounge seating with couch's and comfortable chairs to chill. First bite! Was weird... I put peanut butter sauce on top of blueberries and kiwi... what was I thinking? Wow. Definitely the best açaí bowl I've ever had. Very fresh toppings! Their açaí peanut butter base has such a great texture and flavor. They have really good granola and peanut butter crumble topping as well. The service was good and they let you sample the base flavors. They have create your own bowl options as well as once they recommend on their menu as well. They also sell cheese bread. We didn't get that but will have to do so next time. Such a cute store too. This place is popping!! Came here for a refreshing lunch break and was surprised at the line waiting for order. The açaí bowl was delicious and I can definitely eat it everyday...except I can't because it's pretty pricey. The large (which is the what I got) is a pretty medium size too. Hate to be the person to complain about experience but I thought I had to. I was coming here for months at least 3 times a week sometimes more. I love açaí a lot, and I'm not talking about the stuff they call açaí that you can't even taste the real taste of açaí. Rio açaí has legit açaí and really good cheese bread. But the older Brazilian lady who makes the bowls is not nice, she would always make the bowls really small even when I get a large she put a little bit of granola and I would ask for more granola and she would take açaí out and say "I need to make room for the topping" so I would pay for a large and have the same açaí as a small, and they have bowls right in front that show how much they are supposed to be putting and it's not even close to what they are putting, and when I would ask for more açaí because the large bowl is as big as a small the working kinda give you an attitude and not a nice face So it's just lame that's how I was treated even tho I would go there so much. If I was the owner I would at least take those bowls away so everyone can't see how big the workers are supposed to make the bowls. That's called false advertising. So pretty much you guys lost a solid customer that has spent hundreds of dollars at Rio açaí in south Jordan I won't be coming back, unless I get a few free bowls or something. Delicious. We've been a few times now, and have always left happy. I have only ever ordered the Rio, as is a more traditional style acai, and the one I've grown to love over the years. Also, I place an order of the cheese balls too. Random combo but it most certainly works. Kids like the coconut base most and they have kids size, not pictured on menu but available when asked. We usually eat outside, or to-go after a morning hike. We have never entertained eating inside.
