The dirty red bucket.

We were / are not impressed. We have been here forever. Ordered two smoothies and a salad! The smoothies are prepared and given to you right away, then you wait! And wait! And wait! While we have been sitting here, we have watched multiple unsatisfied customers come and go. They are out of bacon, they just told a man. What? Ok. So the guy said he just wanted his money back. They had to call someone to see how to return the man's money. We honestly believe the man left without his order or his money because he (understandably) became frustrated. We were told they were out of ginger for our smoothie. We chose another add in. The smoothies are mostly ice. Not impressed at all. We will never go to another Tropical Smoothie again. We are from San Antonio and I had a similar experience at our Tropical Smoothie. Unbelievable. The man that came in after us just got his salad. I'm still waiting. They just said they have no forks! Well, that's a small thing, but it is the last straw. Salad is still not ready! We have now asked for our money back. The boy making the salad hasn't changed his gloves and has touched EVERYTHING! Like the red bucket and box in the picture. Yuk! No thank you!

Love this spot! The decor has nice pops of color. The place is very clean inside. I ordered the acai berry blast without the banana. There are no sizes to the smoothies. Just one size. One is plenty enough. The smoothie was very good. It definitely gave me a boost to the day without caffeine. The workers are very happy and helpful. I can't wait to come in and try something else when I am in town.

It was me and my wife's first time going over here we loved the drinks so much and we got in we eatable straws. You must get it with the eatable straws you have a choice of strawberry and lime, so we got both.

I visited Nemo's Seafood Grill while on a day trip in Rockport. The food pictures online looked…read moregood but I didn't expect to find such interesting and delicious seafood there! I had reasonable expectations and Nemo's still managed to exceed them. Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant are unremarkable. But don't let the boring decor fool you, the food was solid. I had grilled scallops, cabbage and green beans. Sounds like a weird assortment, doesn't it? But it knocked my socks off! First of all, the sea scallops were absolutely amazing. Though simply cooked in butter and spices, they tasted fresh, on par with large scallops I had bought at Whole Foods in the past and cooked at home, perhaps even better. (Okay there were better, I admit it... But I pride myself in being a good cook nonetheless!) The side of cabbage was delish. I mean, guys, I don't even care for cabbage, I don't normally like it. But it struck me when I looked at the menu, seeing a Vietnamese section, that the owners aren't your typical Texan cooks. They're eclectic. When when I see originality, I have to try it. The green beans were also fresh, simple but well put together, without bacon, the way they should be, because that's how my grandma used to cook them (grandma is always right, sorry not sorry.) That's right, eating at Nemo's reminded be of home cooking at its best, made with heart and care. I didn't expect to find that in Rockport of all places, nothing less than a meal that took me to new places, and simultaneously down memory lane. My husband had the catfish and his portion was generous. He also had a side of their special pineapple coleslaw, which is in all ways superior to traditional coleslaw. Regular coleslaw sucks, big time. Nemo's is a long overdue improvement upon the original recipe. I stole some of his coleslaw. When you serve me coleslaw anywhere else, I set it aside, and unless someone else eats it, it ends up in the trash. Just saying. So, all in all, while the place looks absolutely boring and undedicated in many ways, the food made up for lack of ambiance. I'd go back.

TLDR: Nemo's is a strip mall restaurant that serves seafood and Vietnamese food. It's one of the…read morefew spots in town that offers alligator. While the menu is pleasantly diverse, the food left something to be desired (e.g. overbreaded & overcooked coconut shrimp). The kids menu is 100% deep fried. I don't mind the strip mall location (some of the most amazing restaurants reside there) or the tacky decor (i.e. a poster of an open window on the wall). However, I just wasn't impressed by the food. My main dish -- the coconut shrimp -- was very heavily breaded. The shrimp lost its succulent texture and became one with the breading. Sort of like a mushy organism. Some of the best coconut shrimp I've had has always been lightly breaded -- where the shrimp still retains its pop and is complemented by the batter, not smothered by it. The sides didn't impress either. The cabbage was okay but the creamed corn was a fail altogether. The cream was super liquid-y and sank to the bottom while the flavorless corn sat on top. Unlike the shrimp which united with the breading, the corn seceded from the cream. The alligator was probably the best part. It was pretty heavily breaded but since the tough texture of gator works best when concealed (unlike shrimp), it worked well. The kids' menu was pretty disappointing. It was on brand (fried shrimp, fried fish, chicken strips -- all served with fries). However, I was really hoping to find at least one option that wasn't battered and deep fried. Even just a grilled cheese or a hamburger. The shrimp and the chicken tasted pretty good but once again, heavily breaded. Oh, I must give credit where it is due -- the fries were actually really good! Service was mostly great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She did forget an extra side that we ordered but we had plenty of food so it wasn't a big deal.

Good service and relaxing atmosphere…read more Service and atmosphere: As mentioned above haha. Our server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good seaside vibe. There are plenty of seating options on the patio where they also have opened bar area. The restaurant can accommodate many guests inside too. Food and drinks: Good selection of seafood dishes. I opted for wild caught salmon. The fish was cooked and seasoned well. We also chose sandwich with crab which was equally tasty. They offer great variety of cocktails. Pricing: $$ - definitely not overpriced and worth it.

Disgusting Kitchen Standards & An Absolute Joke of a "Discount"…read moreLet me start by saying our waitress was awesome. She was attentive, polite, and this 1-star review has absolutely nothing to do with her. This is entirely on management and the kitchen staff. We came in as a party of four and ordered appetizers. As soon as they hit the table, we pulled out two long hairs--one in each appetizer--right in front of our waitress. She was visibly startled and asked what she could do. Trying to be understanding guests, we told her not to worry, and she apologized and said she'd speak to the Back of House. When the main courses arrived, the food was okay, though it seriously lacked flavor and desperately needed salt. But the real insult came when the bill arrived. Since we had actual hair served in our food, we politely asked our waitress if a discount could be applied. She apologized, mentioned she hadn't been sure how to handle it initially, and went to speak to the manager. After a long wait, she came back with a "discounted" bill. The original total was $179 and change. The manager's grand gesture of a discount brought it down to $173 and change. But here is the absolute kicker: because we paid with a card, they tacked on debit card fees that brought the final total right back up to $179. Where the hell is the actual discount? In this day and age, almost no one carries cash. Sneaking in extra card fees to completely wipe out a "complimentary" discount for serving us hair is cheap, manipulative, and terrible business. If you're going to charge card fees, embed them in the food prices like a reputable establishment. Between whoever is cooking in the back without a hairnet and a management team that thinks a net-zero "discount" fixes serving unsanitary food, we will absolutely never be back. Step up your hygiene and your management standards.

Tea was brewing and took 10 mins and a reminder to the waitress that I had not gotten my tea yet. Our table ordered pickle chips. 15 mins later waitress comes back and says they are out of pickle chips. When our food came out 30 mins after no fried shrimp for the fish and shrimp platter. Waitress says, "we are out of fried shrimp." Miscommunication or not hearing led to two small pieces of extra fish and no shrimp at all . And extra waiting . No refills except when we asked and sat for another 15 mins after finishing to get our bill. I ended up walking to the register and asked for the bill. Decided to stop at Subway for a to go order. The young lady that met me at the door was very nice and stated they were experiencing flooding in a portion of the restaurant but she could fix me a sandwich to go. I ordered my favorite, an Italian BMT with the fixins. Right behind me was a lady who also ordered. I noticed she got her order first and that should have been a tip off for me. I got home and later on I went to eat my sandwich. It was Lettuce, Tomato and chicken. Hmm! Went back to the Subway and the young lady stated that she gave my order to her and her order to me. She immediately blamed the stress caused by the flooding. Hmm. Young people, it's alright to admit you messed up! Accept responsibility - Please! You are only human and all of us make mistakes.
