The girls there are really nice, the food is extremely good. The environment was very aesthetic. I will definitely be coming back!! The girls are really nice they treated me with a welcoming tone! read more

Today I ordered an avacolada smoothie and did not realize that all their smoothies come standard with that fake sugar. I did order quickly online and wasn't paying close attention which is my fault but when I asked if I could get one with that sugar removed from it I was met with attitude. From both the girl at the register and the "owner/manager"...I think. I understand not wanting to "waste inventory" but I also don't want to waste money on something I can't drink. Her justification was that "I don't want to have to keep remaking you drinks". Honestly, I rarely come here and only asked her to do this for me in that exact moment, one time. In the end I did get a drink remade but it's the attitude I received that's just makes me not want to support this store anymore. Their customer service skills are terrible. read more

The midday/evening staff is incredibly rude. Doesn't greet when you enter the store. Overcharged me for my drink. I use to love coming to this location, I will be going to another one going forward. Not worth the headache read more

Fast when ordering at the location - everyone is mostly friendly Has issues with the app often though and have just resorted to driving up there each time instead of trying to order ahead read more

I would give zero stars if I could, but unfortunately, in order to leave a review and to share my experience, I have to put at least one star. I had an extremely disappointing and humiliating experience at Tropical Smoothie that I feel others should be aware of. I placed an order, picked up my food, and then went to use the restroom. When I came out, the cashier (Indian girl) loudly confronted me in front of other customers, saying, "Excuse me, did you purchase anything? You cannot use our bathroom unless you purchased something." This was incredibly embarrassing, especially considering I had just ordered from there. Being called out publicly like that--while other customers were ordering and watching--was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. I am a businesswoman in the area and have frequented this location before, but after this experience, I will never return. You should never treat your customers this way. I understand having a sign posted and not wanting people who are not purchasing items to use the restroom, but to have your staff trained to yell at customers to confirm this is ridiculous. I've never seen such poor management and poor training. You need to train your staff better and hold a meeting to ensure this does not happen again, because this is completely unacceptable. What made it worse was the explanation: the cashier (small Indian girl) said her boss/the manager requires staff to verify that anyone using the restroom has made a purchase, or they could get in trouble. Even if that is store policy, there is a respectful and discreet way to handle it. Yelling at a paying customer in front of others is absolutely not acceptable. I left feeling embarrassed, humiliated, and so uncomfortable that I ended up throwing away the food I had just bought because I didn't even want to sit there and eat anymore. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I strongly encourage others to think twice about supporting a place that treats customers this way. No one should be made to feel this disrespected - especially after already paying for their food. Do better. read more

During my visit, I witnessed behavior from the owner/manager that was deeply concerning and unprofessional. The manager spoke to her employee in a degrading, disrespectful, and rude manner. Rather than addressing any concerns privately, she chose to openly scold and reprimand the employee in front of me and others present. This type of public humiliation not only undermines employee dignity, but also creates a hostile and uncomfortable environment for both staff and customers. Professional leadership should foster respect, accountability, and constructive communication, and unfortunately, what I observed reflected the opposite. read more

Stopped here because my husband wanted a smoothie. His smoothie was great, he had the Bahama Mama. I ordered the Sunrise Sunset and it was completely bitter and undrinkable. I think they left out the turbinado on mine because this was gross. I should have taken it back but I didnt take a sip until we were back on the road. Two stars only because my my husband enjoyed his smoothie. read more

I stopped by the Tropical Smoothie on Matthews Township Parkway on Tuesday, 3/18/25 around 4:30 PM, and had such a great experience! The young ladies working were so sweet and welcoming--it really made my visit feel special. I ordered the Peanut Paradise and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly blended and packed with flavor. Out of all the locations in the area, this one is definitely one of my favorites. Great service and tasty smoothies every time! read more

I can't return to this location unless major changes are made. The restrooms were left unattended (no soap or bath tissue). Trash cans were overflowing and stayed that way our entire dine-in visit. Staff was ambivalent to customer notice of this and barely paid attention to the customers in general. This could be because the music was so loud they couldn't hear the customers very well. My wife threw out her disappointing salad. Not to pile on, but for some reason delivery boxes were stacked in the dining area. I'm not sure what's going on here because I have visited other Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations that were pleasant and run much better. read more

Says that it opens at 7am. At 7:15am I tried to stop by to get some food. No one was there and all the lights were off

Service is slow. I waited 15 mins for a smoothie with 3 people working and 1 customer in front of me. Oh man, this place wouldn't last a day up north. We don't have half a lunch break to wait on a smoothie. My sandwich across the street took less time with a line! read more

never go here they barely speak English, and you cannot understand them and then I asked for extra protein powder and she had no idea what I was talking about and so I had to show her on the menu not a good look for tropical smoothie and then they didn't even make it fresh was not tropical. They pulled my açai bowl out of the freezer and it is still defrosting. To make things worse they didn't even give me silverware and when I asked for silverware, I asked for a spoon they gave me a fork and a knife. read more

STORE DOES NOT OPEN AT 7 I placed a mobile order for earliest pickup and the app says my order will be ready at 7:10am, it is now 7:20am and I have arrived at the store to find it closed with lights off and no body there. How do I get a refund?? read more

We were told the "food side" closes at 7:10pm ... but UberEats shows that they allow online orders until 7:45pm. Not sure what's true. Fresh smoothies as usual just order pickup or delivery if you want food because you won't get served inside. read more

Good, fresh smoothie to follow up the first workout of the new year, working on a better me!

This location has to be the worst tropical smoothie I've been too. I say this because every time I've come here at 8 they told me they not making food anymore. This last time I was here the girl said the same thing when a few minutes earlier she told her coworker that the oven is still on, the person in front of me orders food but when I get to the register she said they aren't making food anymore. So I'm guessing she said that because she doesn't feel like making food anymore? She should be fired if she doesn't even want to do her job. Worst customer service. read more

Came in with a friend and Ella was super sweet the whole time! Delivered amazing customer service, everyone else working seemed to be a little down and looked like they didnt want to be there but she was super upbeat and at em! Food was amazing as well, I got the thai chicken wrap and my friend got the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. Will be back!! read more

Actually the rudest employees i've ever met. Got mad and had an attitude when my smoothie was made wrong and then shoved the cup in my hand. All three employees were dumbfounded and look unprofessional. One of them has hickies all over their neck and was a mess. Also, in the middle of making my smoothie, she asked a coworker to go get her vape out of the car. Sad. read more

My order is almost never right. Either there is no chicken in my chicken quesadilla or no sauce that it comes with or chicken on half the quesadilla or I order extra chicken for almost $3 more and it's the same amount as usual. Like I get the same thing every week and it's only right 25% of the time. I prefer the Monroe location. My order is never wrong there. So it must be this location. read more

Came in on a Sunday Memorial Day weekend. I stood there at the register for at least 10-15 minutes before someone even acknowledged my existence. It's not like they were short handed with help either. I think there were 4 maybe 5 employees behind the counter. No one even looked at me. Finally, one girl did. And said they would be with me momentarily. A perfect example of young and clueless. I'll stick with Smoothie King. As for the smoothie itself, it was not bad. Not worth a second trip though. read more

The owners do not care about this location. I placed an order on the app for a morning smoothie. Got there and the whole store was closed and hour after they were supposed to open. Since my order was asap, I couldn't get a refund. I have called multiple times with no answer. I also sent and email to the care line that "goes to the owners." I haven't heard a peep back and lost almost $10 on ONE smoothie. It's ridiculous I can't even get a refund for what I didn't even receive. I will never go to this location again. read more

Good smoothie. But my sandwich had a hair in it & lettuce when it was a pb & banana flatbread...

I came inside there today 4/7/2023 and they were not busy. One girl was making a smoothie or something and didn't even say hello or I'll be with you in a minute. Not a single word. There was no one in the place. The music was so loud I felt like I was in a club. The other lady was cleaning up. I guess from lunch. And turned around looked at me and continued cleaning. Never asked me if I need help or anything. This is the 2nd time I have had horrible service at this one location. I will not eat there again. Y'all need to do better. read more

I love tropical cafe! I was surprised to see one near the Costco I frequent at. It was hiding so I never noticed it! My go to smoothie is the "Mocha Madness". My husband ordered the "Sunrise Sunset". This was my first time going to Tropical Smoothie. Ordered a blueberry, strawberry and banana smoothie with soy protein. I could not even suck the smoothie thru the straw it was so thick. I removed the lid and there were still chunks of banana and strawberries in the smoothie. In addition, there were chunks of ice. It was like a smoothie blended with a cheap blender. I had to eat it with a spoon. I was not happy. How can you be a smoothie place and not even know how to make a smoothie. I seriously doubt I will ever go back. read more

Yesterday will be the last time I visit this establishment. I attend the cycling classes next door and crave a smoothie once I'm finished. Everyone at this establishment has the WORST ATTITUDE. Nobody says hello, thank you. They seem to hate their job. Smoothies are always great but customer service is terrible. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I visited this restaurant yesterday afternoon and was not greeted when I walked in. I wasn't even addressed once the employee approached the register. She literally just looked at me waiting for me to speak. After placing my order, she took the orders for two gentlemen behind me. Then, she proceeded to take care of them. Forgot my order. Had to ask what I wanted before making my smoothie. Absolutely unacceptable. The employees name was Stevie. read more

I have always been a big fan of Tropical Smoothie. Unfortunately though, this particular location disappointed me as far as the portion sizes and quality of food. It looks like it was carelessly put together. My Baja chicken wrap is not nearly filled and has more lettuce than anything, with minimal chicken and sauce. It's my favorite thing to order so I'm just a little disappointed. The smoothie wasn't great either, which I've always loved as well, not a lot of flavor. Hopefully this is a one time occurrence because this location is close to my place of work! read more

I love tropical smoothie, I always go to the one in Monroe because it's the most convenient one to go to. Today, I went to this particular one because I was working over here in matthews. I ordered a smoothie and flatbread (which is my favorite here) and let me tell you, it was the worst sandwich I've eating in my life. The two stars comes from the smoothie being good but man was that flatbread gross and wet for some reason. It's always amazing at the monroe location and the people there are fabulous!!!
