This location was kind of hard to find. The GPS did not take me to the exact spot, it placed me in front of the cold stone creamery. Brittan & Berkley Late Night Shift Experience: I walked in and was honestly new to smoothie king , i usually go to tropical smoothie cafe but i wanted to give smoothie king another go . I asked for a mango smoothie & a pb swizzle, but i asked them to make it thick and to add energizers and pineapple . Came here Friday the 20th at 5:45 pm. The girl behind the counter rang me up twice for a smoothie i only wanted one and told her this ! Once I noticed i was charged for 2 she refused to refund me for the extra smoothie she rang me up for and had a terrible attitude! It was upgrade Friday and basically paid over $11 for a smoothie ! This is a very unfriendly location, which I have expect this from here. Today being worst than ever. My shake was mostly water. For the last couple of weeks this establishment has not been well managed. Staff is rude. My wife gave the cashier a buy 1 get a 2and on for 50% off and charged us and handed us back the coupon and gave us a face like I forgot to scan it so take it back and move on. I didn't make a big deal about it but deffinetley not handled well. Also, one of the employees was wearing a long sweater and short shorts that almost look like she was not wearing anything under the sweater. Very unprofessional place. This place has some pretty awesome staff members. After a long walk with the dog I stopped by here to grab a smoothie on the way home, thinking I would leave the pup outside with a new bone long enough to order and pay for a drink. Unfortunately the dog was not pleased with this plan and came as close as his leash would allow and watched me sadly from the giant windows. The man who took my order saw this, and said I could wait outside with the dog and they would let me know when my beverage was ready. I have giant soft spot for places who are nice to my dog, especially since he couldn't go in. Other than that experience I have been here a couple times and they are always prompt and friendly with my drink. I did a curbside pick up and called the store for 20 minutes to avoid going in and it still had not been placed outside. I ended up having to go inside of the store despite having a newborn. I politely asked the guy to remake the drink because it had now been sitting there for over 20 minutes. He ignored me at first because it was sitting in the holder inside. I advised I ordered curbside and his response was I guess! I am highly disappointed with this experience. The lady on this shift was very courteous and offered to remake the drink for me. This location is fast and clean. The only downside is I only use smoothie king to purpose single protein powder packages and they only seem to sell the vegan packets at this location. They do a $5 medium smoothie on Fridays and sometimes I will get the lean 1 mix with water. Just have to be very careful as you can easily find yourself drinking 30-40grams of sugar! read more

I've tried several smoothie places around Charlotte, including the smoothies at The Healthy Home Market, Whole Foods and even other Smoothie King locations. This is the only one that hits the spot! There are so many different varieties to cater to any lifestyle. You can add protein powder, aids for weight loss, antibiotic enhancers, workout boosts, a shot of wheat grass, etc. There are even organic options. I was initially turned off by the idea of such healthy smoothies, doubtful that the healthy aspects of the smoothie could suffice (in comparison to a hearty milkshake). I WAS SO WRONG! Not only are their smoothies healthy, they are absolutely delicious! I can't say the same for other Smootie King locations because some people simply do not have the magic smoothie touch, despite having the magic smoothie formula. This particular location never fails to satisfy my sweet urges. I recommend the Angel Food, which has strawberries, banana and protein powder (perfect for post-workout). My current favorite is the Mangosteen Madness - strawberries, bananas, papaya, kiwi and of course.. MANGO! read more
