The young lady who came out to explain to me my mistake was all smiles, had a wonderful attitude, encourage me even after my goofy mistake. I don't know why they can't just learn how to make a proper smoothie. They add more ice than they do fruit I'm just munching on ice. If I wanted to eat ice I would've ordered ice. The last 2 times I came to this location they have made my smoothie into a snow cone. This place used to be the best when I was younger my parents would always take us here cause they actually had good employees who knew what they were doing. They should've hire employees who obviously can't figure out how to make a good smoothie. If I'm paying 8$ for a smoothie I'd like it to be made right. I've never had this issue with any other location. And honestly the employees are rude they should be hiring more adults than children to run the store. read more

Tropical smoothie has always been one of my favorite place for a quick meal. A friend and I went in to this location on E Hill Rd at 7:45pm when closing at 9. We were greeted by a nice young girl named Aramina and there was at least 7 people who were inside that had ordered before us. Once we approached the counter to order she came rushing out of the kitchen and took our orders. Come to find out, she was the only person there working. She was running the counter, making smoothies, food, and preparing online orders for 9 people (when we got there) all by herself. But she kept calm and collected and did a great job and she was even newer to working there! We had some edits to our meals and she even remembered them during it all. This girl was so amazing at running the store all alone she deserves a raise! read more

Well we went in at 8:32 and was told that the kitchen closed at 8:30so the staff could get out at 9:00 when the store actually closed. There is a smell that is in this location. Like they mopped over vomit with a dirty mop. Has been like that for at least a month. Last time I bought a smoothie for my wife and barley made it out. Thought they would have cleaned it out by now. Went in just now to get her a smoothie and the smell was still there. Waited 10 minutes for someone to take my order. I asked twice and was told multiple times that someone would be right with me. Not friendly at all. They seemed like they couldn't care less if I was there or not. This place used to rock. Ordered a Caesar wrap and a smoothie. I was splitting lunch with my wife so we asked for the smoothie to be split in two glasses. We waited only about 10 mins for the wrap, and another 10 mins for the smoothie. 20 mins total. I could have went to a sit down restaurant and gotten my order quicker. Lets start with the wrap. It had "ZERO" Caesar dressing on it. Had Iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese and tomato. Not a Caesar wrap. The smoothie.... I had asked 3 times for it to come in two glasses. When we finally got it, it was one big glass. So, I asked again for another glass. She took the smoothie, and poured it into two very small glasses. As I'm watching, she dumped what was left, (about 10 oz) into the garbage, and handed me the two small glasses. When I asked about what she threw out, she said that it wouldn't fit into the two glasses. So instead of just dumping half of it into a large glass, and giving me the original half full, and another half full. she just dumps out a 1/3 of my 6.00 smoothie. Won't be back! read more

It would have been fine if it tasted good, but it didn't and no matter what I added to it at home to try and fix it, it just didn't work. Every time I visit this location, my order is ALWAYS wrong! I am usually polite and forgiving, however, its hardly ever reciprocated. The girls that work there have absolutely no customer service skills. They are rude and condescending. Today I sent my daughter in to place our order. After waiting 40 minutes for 3 smoothies and watching people who came in after us be served, she simply asked why it was taking so long. The worker rolled her eyes and said, "we're obviously busy." She proceeded to talk to the other workers about my daughter, within earshot, saying, "if she doesn't want to wait, she can buy a ninja and make her own smoothie at home." she then came back to my daughter, asked what we ordered And wrote it down as if she never even put the order through to begin with. When my daughter asked how long it Was going to be now and If we could atleast get it discounted because they were showing no concern or remorse for making us wait, the cashier opened the register and handed her our money back. Slow, slow, slow. That pretty much sums it up. Overall, I like the Tropical Smoothie Café concept- just not this particular spot. This one has terrible service (and has always had bad service) and they can't manage when there are more than two people in line. I've had to have my order re-made and that's not cool. Then it takes them even longer! I feel bad for the people in line behind me, just like I feel bad for myself waiting behind other people. It's ridiculous. Who waits 30 minutes for a smoothie and wrap? I did here, that's who. They're so nonchalant about it. I understand they're being paid hourly to be here, but I'm not (nor is anyone else standing in their never-ending lines). Have a little respect for people on their lunch hour, please! The inside is nice and clean, very attractive, with decent seating (which is needed because of the long wait), but the service really is terrible. The food is alright, but not in line with other Tropical Smoothie locations. I've had messily put-together salads and sandwiches here, but the smoothies are usually good, even if they needed to be remade. The best is the the kiwi-flavored smoothie. The staff aren't particularly friendly and forget about complaining about the wait time- they couldn't care less. If you like eye rolling, then by all means, hit up this location because you will encounter it in spades. Your smoothie awaits with a side order of attitude. Waiting 30 minutes for a smoothie (or a smoothie and sandwich) is ridiculous! If this is the epitome of "fast casual" dining, then count me out. read more

I placed an order today and no one was behind me so I thought it would be quick but waited over 45 mins!! Food should NEVER take this long to make and I tried to get a refund based on time alone and they told me that I couldn't have a refund as I had my food. Anyway I ordered a Kiwi Quencher substituting Splenda instead of sugar and there was sugar mixed in. I also ordered a Baja chicken with no avocado. I had previously ordered it and it was delicious but this time the sandwich was cold and it had avocado on it. Also half of the staff today had their masks well below their noses and a lady with a collar whom I assumed was a manager was NOT wearing gloves and she was preparing food. At one point she even used her BARE hands to scoop off some excess smoothie from someone else's smoothie and put a lid on it and sent it out. I am extremely disgusted by the unsafe practices around food especially with the whole pandemic going on. Also the customers were so close together inside because no one and I mean no one was calling names loud enough for anyone to hear. We ordered online for pick up. Ordered a chipotle flatbread and a chicken pesto- they have us two chipotle and put bacon and tomato when we requested no tomato or bacon on one of them. The smoothies are delicious, but the food is not. Good thing the smoothies are filling enough that you don't need an average(and over-priced) sandwich to go with it. If it weren't for the consistently poor service and long wait for a simple smoothie, I would return. I always get snobby people when I place my order. And whenever I try to use a text deal, they fight it and look at me like I am robbing the place. So for now I will stick to making my smoothies at home for less than 1/3 of the price and time. Rude young girls that work there. Came yesterday to pick up my order, was no greeted at all. In fact I was ignored for about 2 minutes while the girl stood there mopping the floor. Unfortunately, the teen or young girls working there failed to add a banana and when I brought it to their attention, they told me the banana was in the raspberry mix. Reluctantly the smoothie was made over and a real banana, plus a gritty food substance was also added which made the smoothie undesirable to drink. My first clue should have been the three girls huddled over the remake of my drink before it went to the blender. Maybe the manager will read this and hire more mature help. read more
